《Wonderland: Origin Arc [Script]》2.2 - Sissel's Decision
Advertisement
[Sissel is heading into college early in the morning, wearing a black body warmer over a white shirt, with jeans and brown shoes. Tracey is following behind him, phasing through people rather than moving past them. Sissel eventually makes it through the doorway, Tracey taking notice of the smashed window nearby.]
Tracey: [surprised] Hey, did you do that?
[Sissel looks over to the window.]
Sissel: I don’t remember who actually did that.
Tracey: [surprised] It’s impressive.
[Sissel and Tracey enter the college, Sissel looking around it for the Mad Tea Party. Sissel gets some weird looks from people as he talks to Tracey.]
Tracey: Hey, you… you sure about this?
Sissel: Yeah, I… I think it’s for the best, y’know?
Tracey: Yeah, I know.
[Sissel gives a thumbs up and takes a breath, going towards the main space of the college. The chairs and tables are spread out notably with Leigh, Chelsea, Liv and Gary at one table, looking at Leigh’s phone. Leigh is wearing a red shirt and jeans along with glasses. Gary is in a white shirt and blue coat. Chelsea has her hair in a ponytail and is wearing a long sleeved striped blue shirt and white skirt. Liv is wearing an orange hoodie with a white cat logo on it. Sissel comes over to the group, pulling out a chair and sitting down while Tracey leans on his shoulders, looking at them. All but Gary look up at Sissel.]
Leigh: [quickly, distracted] Hey mate.
Chelsea: [quickly, distracted] Hiya.
Liv: [quickly, distracted] Hey.
[They all immediately look back to the picture, Gary nonchalantly waving at Sissel. Tracey sighs.]
Tracey: [disappointed] Are they always like this now?
[Sissel nods, putting his hand on the table.]
Sissel: Um… I’d like to make an announcement. Involving the Mad Tea Party.

Leigh: [distracted] What is it mate?
[Tracey groans, walking around from Sissel.]
Tracey: [annoyed] What the hell are they even looking at?
Sissel: [nervous] Um… I’m gonna leave it for a bit.
[They all immediately turn their attention onto Sissel, except for Tracey who is now looking over the phone.]
Leigh: [surprised] Um… w-why is that?
Sissel: [nervous] I just… y’know between seeing Tracey die and… you all getting superpowers, it just felt like I need to step back and relax a bit.
Gary: Got ya mate.
[Gary goes back to the phone, Tracey groaning.]
Liv: [surprised] If you want to, you can stay. We’re all he-
[Sissel raises his hand flat from the table, facing Liv.]
Sissel: [nervous] I don’t w… I don’t need any help. I’ll be fine.
[The three look at each other, Leigh and Chelsea nodding.]
Chelsea: As long as you know what you’re doing, I’m sure that you’ll be fine.
[Sissel nods to her.]
Leigh: Yeah, mate, do whatever you need. We’re here when you need us.
Gary: [distracted] Mhm.
[Tracey tries to slap Gary but it goes straight through his head.]
Tracey: [annoyed] Crap.
Sissel: [distracted] Um… hey, if you ever need me to help with the whole “White Rabbit” situation-
Leigh: We’ll give you a call.
[Sissel smiles, getting up from the seat.]
Sissel: [relieved] If I’m being honest, I expected that to go really badly.
Gary: [distracted] Totally.
[Leigh slaps Gary in the head.]
Gary: [surprised] Ow!
Tracey: [annoyed] Thank you!
Liv: If you’re… certain about this… then it’ll be fine.
[Sissel starts to back away slightly, smiling.]
Sissel: I’m gonna run to lesson. Thank you. Seriously.
[Sissel starts to jog off down the corridor, the group staying in place with Tracey now gone from the scene. Leigh and Chelsea lean back, Liv watching Sissel run off while Gary remains focused on the phone.]

Leigh: Well… that saved time.
Chelsea: At least he’s doing good.
Leigh: [relieved] Yeah! Yeah…
Liv: I don’t know… maybe I should keep an eye still.
Leigh: Liv, just… give him his space if he wants it.
Chelsea: Yeah, it’ll be fine Liv.
[Liv sighs, leaning back in her chair.]
Gary: [proud] Right!
[Gary sets the phone up to be standing, pointing at it for the group.]
Gary: That’s the, um…
Leigh: Screensaver?
Gary: Screensaver group! Thank you Leigh.
[Leigh gives a faux-smile, immediately fading.]
Gary: Tell me how many people are in it.
[Chelsea looks a little closer.]
Chelsea: Um… seven.
Gary: Wrong.
Leigh: [confused] What?
Gary: There are eight.
[They all look at him, confused. Gary groans, looking up.]
Gary: The picture has seven people in it, right?
Leigh: [confused] Obviously!
Gary: Well then… who took the picture?
[They all remain quiet, thinking.]
Liv: [thinking] Maybe one of them had a power that held the camera, then took the picture.
[Gary stares down Liv.]
Gary: You think one of them used a superpower in public and that never got any traction?
Liv: Basically.
Leigh: [agreeing] Definitely.
Chelsea: [agreeing] Makes sense.
[Gary sighs, pushing himself of the chair and handing Leigh his phone. Leigh takes it, Gary pointing wildly at all of them.]
Gary: All of you? Boring.
[Gary walks away, stretching his arms in the air.]
Gary: [shouting] Boring!

The Court of Souls?
What do we talk about tonight?~“How about a story?”~Fine by me. Which story? Hopefully a good one.~“There was once a lonely child in a world filled with myths, gods and demons. Only power counted there and the weak were worse than cattle. A world where survival of the fittest ruled.”~Was it strong then?~“No, but the child had a power. One that made him stand between light and darkness. Nothing could escape him, so he was shunned by his people.”~ What did he do? Did he fight his fate? Did he hide his power? What was it?~“Oh, he fought. He fought a lot. And no thing could escape his power. It was something that everyone had to live with.”~So he became a hero and changed the world?~»…”~Tell me.~“Nooo, that’s not how the story goes. This isn’t a story of a noble man, doing good amidst a sea of monsters. This is a story of a demon who was… kinder than the rest.”~A kind demon? How boring.~“I think it would be better if I tell the story, so you can judge for yourself.”~So tell the story!

From the Final World
I have lived a long, long time. Longer than the universe knows; longer than any star has seen or traveling light records. My memories; that is all that is left that knows that length, and that which was seen within it. Then again, that is all that ever did. When I am gone, it will be forgotten, a truth and a history lost forever no matter who or what tries to find it. I think that is why I write this now. A record, or a lament, of the most significant being of all time. It is a prideful exaltation of endless triumph, or the dread condemnation of infinite evil. I don’t know which; I shall leave it for others to judge. I could explain further, of course. I could list the sins that have been committed, the deeds that have been done. Yet for now, I believe this is enough. Her story will speak for itself. About the good, and evil, in the heart of a single girl burdened with more than her fair share. And how she reacted to it. So, I will tell her story. Of gods and devils, mortals and monsters, of legends long forgotten and civilizations long turned to dust. And in the end, I hope she knows herself, whether it is salvation, or destruction, she should receive.

In a galaxy where Endoskeletons reached out to the stars in their own ambitions, many have fought tooth and nail for their ideals, their riches, and their pride. The Empire and Kingdom, both factions in a long standing rivalry, stood tall within the darkness of space, forging out as a pillar of hope to those who seek shelter within these dark times. Until war ensues. The Pilot Series looks into the world of Starbase, looking through the events that lead to one specific point. Where one incident lead loose the throes of war. And how it affected everyone... --- Ok, don't kill me, but yes, this is an unofficial lore story based on Starbase, an upcoming (Or if you're reading in the future, current) MMORPG based on Robots, or Endoskeletons, in an open world. It'll be coming to Early Access on the 17th of June, 2021. This Lore series looks into a "What If" of the current war between both the Empire and the Kingdom as to "Was it truly one of their fault?" My Girlfriend, the Necromancer
The power of the Orb cleaves the skies and shatters the earth. It heralds the advent of a new era, one where humanity is no longer at the top of the food chain and we must rise to the challenge when faced with our own extinction as a species. I could hardly care less. All I ever wanted was to love my Allie, to grow old and wrinkly by her side as I held her hand before taking my last breath on this green earth. To have our love echo through the ages, an ode to the last great love story on the planet, one that would endure the end of humanity, the breaking of the world, and even defy the dread summons of Death itself. It’s said that when the gods unleash their fury upon mortal kind, they grant their wishes. Well, crap. This is a gritty end of the world survival story with modern fantasy/romance/game-like elements in it. The main focus will be character development while stats and menus are there as a fun vehicle to empower the imagination. This is a work in progress and I deeply appreciate any helpful suggestions, so please don't be shy with input! Currently posting at least one chapter per week.
