《Goblins :Rising》The Beginnings of Something Great 1

Gablin was happy.
And why wouldn't she be?
She and her squad had managed to complete all of their objectives without any of them dying.
Sure, some of them had gotten injured but they were all still alive.
She and her squad ran back to the ambush site, their speed increased by bursts of Dash. It seemed they had all managed to get that skill.
Oh well, it was useful.
Time to interrogate their prisoner.
They made it back to the ambush site just as the sun went down. She lit torches and handed them around and turned to the human's gear.
They looted everything of value before they focused on their prisoner.
He seemed so peaceful in his sleep.
That was before he was violently woken up.
Oliver had been having a nightmare where he and his comrades were ambushed by goblins. It was very terrifying so he was grateful to whoever had slapped him awake. He opened his eyes to look at his saviour but saw five goblins staring at him.
His terrified scream pierced through the night.
Gablin was disgusted by this weak human who screamed once he saw them. Ulgrig had to shut him up with a punch to the ribs that drove the air out of his lungs.
After waiting a few minutes for his breathing to stabilise, Gablin spoke.
'' Greetings manlings. What is your name?''
'' My name is Oliver. What do you want with me?'' he said fearfully
He was terrified and he had good reason to be. Goblins and humans never got on well and after the last Goblin Wars left them almost extinct, they killed humans on site. His fate would be no different.
'' We have some questions about these 'Skills' ''
Skills?''
'' Yes, skills. Algorr reports you using some against him''
Algorr must be the goblin who had killed Davis and looked like it wanted to do the same to him.

'' Yes. Skils are abilities given to enlightened races by the System''
'' I see. And what is this System?''
'' It is a blessing given to all sentient races by the Supreme Deity to help them gain power, defend themselves and fight for supremacy''
'' So why have I never heard of this System? Goblins are sentient ''
It was true. While not on the level of humans, Goblins showed smarts and cunning. They could form societies, have needs and wants and behave like normal sentients.
'' That is true. Up till a hundred years ago, Goblins had access to the system but as their societies began to expand so did their needs and wants and this led to conflict with other sentients. The atrocities they committed led the Supreme Deity to withdraw use of the System from Goblins''
'' Okay. Explain those Classes things you were talking about''
'' Yes. There are five types of classes. Production, Support, Warrior, Artisanal and Leadership''
'' Production is responsible for producing raw materials used In the production of goods and services. That is Farmers, Miners ''
'' Support is closely related to Warrior. The damage output is not that high. It usually entails magic users, Rogues, Rangers ''
'' Warrior are the ones that live for combat. Thye have the most damage output and usually have the most well-developed bodies''
'' Artisanal are those who actually produce the goods and services. Examples are Blacksmith, Artificer, Merchant ''
'' Leadership classes are the most sought after as they carry the most prestige, power and authority behind them. You can also make a lot of money off them. Examples are Kings, Queens and Generals ''
Gablin took a few minutes to process all this new information. A lot of it shocked her to the core as it explained what happened to her kind. But there would be time to ponder that later. Right now she had a prisoner to interrogate.

'' Your information has shocked me though I still have a few more questions. My minion Algorr has taken the class[Assasin]. Can he still take another class?''
'' Yes. Though there is a limit to how many classes he can have. I'm not sure of the limit for Goblins but it should be around 6 or 7. Then again, what most civilised races do is just combine classes that go well together. Like me, I combined my Archer class with Swordsman to give me [Scout]''
'' And can classes be unfused?''
''No. That is why most people don't just fuse classes wily nilly. You have to think it through''
'' I see''
This went on for a few more minutes, Gablin asking questions and Oliver answering them. He noticed she was running out of questions and that he would be killed if that happened but he was strangely calm. Like he had accepted the fact that he would die.
'' Manling have goblins ever ruled?''
'' Why yes. They even had a nation at one point. It was called the Goblaan Republic. It was made up of different large tribes that worked together for the advancement of goblins. But after the last Goblin Wars, It was destroyed with the land it held taken over by humans''
'' Hmmph. And what would happen if your leaders were to hear of goblins of access to the system?''
'' If they heard of your existence, they would probably try to recruit you.''
'' And if we refused?''
'' You would be executed''
'' One last question. Can goblins have minions?''
This was a very personal question for Gablin. After years of serving as that moron's minion, she was tired of her pathetic existence and wanted a better life for herself and her squad. They were more than minions. They were her family though she would never admit that out loud.
Alas, the manling shattered her dreams.
''No''
''No?''
'' Goblins can't have minions though over the past ninety years they have made very good minions due to the use of soul contracts and thrall brands. Most Goblins are completely servient and absolutely worship their masters. In fact-
'' SHUT UP!!!!''
''Gablin didn't know why but his words grated on her nerves. She was sick of the pathetic life of being someone's minion. She wanted no supreme authority over he life, to be free to make her own decisions. She didn't even know when she began to rant.
'' I am sick of being someone's minion. I am sick of someone having authority over my life. I am sick of being looked down on. Most of all I am sick of manlings thinking they are so goddamn SUPERIOR''
Her minion's yells showed their support for her words.
'' As you clearly believe in this stupid prejudice, you shall be the first we dispense our justice on. SQUAD LET'S EAT''
The accompanying feast was accompanied by blood-curdling screams from Oliver. Even though he had prepared himself to die, the brutality of it pushed him over the edge.
When they were done, nothing remained of him. Even his bones were broken and eaten.
As she stood covered in blood and bits of her victim's body, with her squad bowing before her, Gablin knew one thing.
Her name was Gablin and she was a goblin who was destined for greatness. And to all those who opposed her, they would either bow before her greatness or be killed.
She would become a boss, she would have minions and she would rule.
Just like her ancestors had done.

Tales of Ordinary, Completely Unremarkable Contractors
"Where life had no value, death, sometimes, had its price. That is why the mercenaries appeared." - Artur Xerxes, in A Century of Disappointment: Memoirs of a Travelling Dwarf It's never too difficult to land contracts for a set very specialised skills in a continent teeming with werewolves, vampires, giant leopards, undead and, god forbid, elves. The difficulty comes when these contractors find themselves suffocated in the dense atmosphere of this world's rigid - and mostly unfair - rules; death, suffering and misfortune await those unwilling to sacrifice to bend these in their favour. In this non-linear plot, you will observe a scarred and deformed farm girl cashing her first bounty posters, a seemingly ordinary barmaid at a tavern in the bustling centre of a sprawling, corrupt city and an enigmatic leader of a firm specialising in dealings any other would consider suicidal. Watch them all take everything to the next level at every available opportunity, and then feel dread at the thought that this still might not be enough to halt the physical embodiment of doom about to do what it does best Please, feel free to review and comment! Any sort of feedback can help me become a better writer and write more engaging stories for you. I used to update once every 3-5 days, but this rewrite is taking much too long...I do hope it will be worth it.

GLADIUS // Eret X Reader
PHANTASM SERIES BOOK 4---Gladius, (noun): (in ancient Rome) a short sword.---Eret perked up as soon as you and Simon walked into the room, a wide and welcoming smile coming onto his face. He was softer looking than his father had been, but you could still see some of the similar traits. He had a head of thick dark curls, and the same sharp jaw that his father had had. He wasn't as bulky though - he was tall and thin - and his face was a lot more open. What separated him most from his father's likeness though was the colorful cape, and the large mirrored glasses he wore - swirling with colors reflected from the room. He stood from his seat when Maven let the doors swing shut behind her, that wide smile still on his face. "You must be the embassy.""And you must be King Eret." You said, stooping into a bow. "Oh, there's no need for that." Eret said as you rose from your bow. He stepped down from the dias where his throne sat - colorful cape trailing behind him - and came to stand in front of you, taking your hand instead. "I'm not really one for formalities." He grinned, shaking your hand. His palm was warm against yours, and you could feel some slight callouses - most likely from practicing his sword work.
