《Ancestral World: Memorial Clouds》Chapter 10

[Arc II-Royal Hunt]
Both of them were staring at me with a murderous intent, especially Elma. Alvis on the other hand seemed to be calm. We three were just standing still and waiting for the first person to strike.
To no ones surprise, Elma moved first. He was incredibly fast to the point I barely caught up with my eyes. I needed to be extra careful since he was an Advant while Alvis was an Astral.
"HA! What's wrong, weakling?! Can't catch up?! Well....Here you go, you damn asshole!"
Elma then stopped and instantly approached to me in a speed of sound and elbowed my face. I spat out some blood from my mouth as I stopped rolling back further from him. The amount of strength that he put in
his elbow was enormous.
"KekekekeHAHAHAHA! LOOK AT THAT ALVIS! HE SPAT OUT BLOOD JUST FROM THAT!" Elma shouted while being overly confident.
"I wouldn't be that~ overly confident just from that if I were you, Elma~~"
"Huh?!" Elma said and looked behind him. "What!? He's not there?! WHAT'S THE MEANING OF THIS.....WEAKLING!?!?!"
The wind passes by him as the leaves from the tress kept rustling non-stop. It seemed that Alvis was a bit worried. For Elma, he was extremely annoyed by it. How pitiful. The fact that I was called a weakling
was just funny for me. He kept looking around shouting endlessly but he did not know that I was near him all along, same goes for Alvis.
"Damn it! Alvis! Where is he!?"
"Do I look like I know~" Alvis said calmly. "Though, I am worried about it."
"Tch...OI WEAKLING! COME OUT AND FIGHT!"
"Hmm....I was right beside you the entire time." I said.
To Elma, I just suddenly appeared out of nowhere and broke the bone of his hand. He was extremely confused on to what happened in that moment. Alvis could not comprehend the situation at all as her eyes showed me that

she was in despair already.
"Now that seems painful. You alright? You might need a plaster for it. Let me check....Nope! I don't have it for someone who is that pathetic." I said sarcastically.
"D..DDD.....DAMN YOU!!!!!!!!" Elma was grinding his teeth at first and shouted. "I'll make you pay for my humiliation!"
As he finished his tantrum, he launched himself with an explosion that came from the the soles of his feet. At first glance, he thought he hit me but I quickly dodged it. He seemed even more annoyed. My only problem was about Alvis.
She was not doing anything. She was just witnessing my fight with Elma. Was she planning a counterattack or getting some data about me? Who knows but I definitely would not lose to Elma at all.
He stopped and took a breather since he had been chasing me all the time.
"I'll kill you for now, weakling! I will rip you apart slowly you asshole! Take this.....!"
"I see.....Then I'll use the same thing...."
"WHAT!?" He shouted with confusion and his kick ended up on the tree instead. "It happened again! Alvis! Did you find out already?!"
"Sadly~ No~ Though all I heard he said Spatial....something~"
"DAMN IT!"
is one of the skill I can do. It is a skill that allows me to slip into space. While I'm in the space, I can see others but others can't see me since I'm not there.
The only problem is that I have to move slowly. Not to mention, inside the space is incredily narrow. If I move too fast or stomping loudly, it will automatically kick me out. The main purpose for this is to escape and trick enemies.

Not only that, I can halfway exit the so I can enter back in quickly.
"Now then....I have appeared behind you, Elma! I said. "This is the end of you, you damn loud bastard!"
"Whe-Where the hell am I?! What the hell is this place, weakling?!"
"Stay here for five minutes and you won't feel pain at all....*Preparing to go back to the main world* as your existence will be wiped away from the {Rules of the Universe}...See ya...Elma...."
"Oi....Oi..........OIIIIIII! DON"T YOU DARE LEAVE ME!!!!" Elma shouted as he reached out his hand to me.
I had sympathy for him. Killing him this way was extremely cruel but I no longer had time to deal with him anymore. I had to deal with Alvis but when as soon as I came back to the main world....
She disappeared. She must had escaped when I took Elma to the alternate world. I still had no idea what group were they from or who was their leader but I found something on the ground.
It was a badge that I saw on Alvis outfit when I first saw her. I grew suspicious on what kind of event was gonna happen.
-Alvis Side-
"Hoh....So you have return....Alvis."
"*Gulp* Yes sir!"
"Where...is Elma?...."
"I'm sad to say but he has been defeated by him."
"Amane....Sora....He really is a threat to us.....The fact that his ability exist...proofs that he must die no matter what. Though.....it is sad to see one of our member died."
"Hehe! Well no matter! He was weak afterall."
"Eleven of us...huh...I'm a bit worried."
"No sweat☆ It's not like he can kill us, especially the first three members that joined when the group was first founded☆"
"Hmm........."
Everyone shuts up instantly. The person was very menancing and fearful afterall.
"Kekeke...Shall we start it?"
"OH! You mean 'that'? I want it! I want it!"
"Then....Let the 'Royal Hunt'.....begin..."

Core Defect
In the 264 years since the Great Singularity Wars, the world has been irrevocably changed. Technologies like nanobots and rogue artificial intelligences have caused the planet's wildlife to evolve in dangerous and powerful ways, pushing humanity to the verge of extinction. However, the remaining survivors are not without ways to fight back. Nanotech can enhance humans just as well as beasts, but perhaps most surprisingly, humanity has found an unexpected ally: a group of human-neutral AIs called Daemons. Val is a 22-year old woman striving to become a User: a nano-empowered human paired with a Daemon that serves as society's final and most powerful line of defense. When a critical issue in her nanosystem's core seemingly leaves her unable to serve as a User, she's given a difficult choice: give up on her dreams or accept a potentially unstable AI, Noir, as her Daemon partner. Val and Noir are stronger together than they are apart, but can they survive long enough to unlock their potential? Can they find a place among the other pairings like them, shunned by society but essential to civilization's survival? If Users are humanity's last line of defense, welcome to the sacrificial first line: the Defects. Updates are currently once a week, aiming for the weekend. Chapters usually 2k-3k in length.
