《Son of Sparta》Son of Sparta: Conflict

I turned in my rewards and received 108 copper, or in other words, one silver and eight coppers. Due to my surplus amount I was promoted to the next rank and was now F-rank.
I took a quest that dealt with a pack of wolves that were further south of the forest I just came from. It was a quick travel because I was sort of familiar with the area already.
I had a few more coins because I sold my extra swords to a blacksmith before I headed out. When I was there I had seen a gorgeous claymore greatsword that practically screamed my name. Sadly, It was seven silvers. Way out of my budget range. I'll definitely come back.
If I had to guess, I would say it is around 1400, the day was still young. I made it to the location around 1425. I tilt my head in confusion at a group as they cut the ears off of the wolves. A sign they killed them. Which is not right, they did not take the quest at the board so they are basically quest stealing. They'll probably say that I could not handle it so they lended a hand. They'll reap all the rewards for themselves....Not while I am here.
Fuck these guys.
But there is four of them.
It's not like I am invincible. I turn on my heel and proceed to show myself out. I grumble to myself as I made a trip for nothing. They can keep this shitty quest.
A girlish voice calls out," Who allowed you to leave? Hand over all your valuables and scram."
I turned my head to see the same scarred face. She was smirking madly, thoughts of revenge running through her mind by the second.
I sprint as far as my pre-adolescent body could take me.
After running for however long, I check to see if they gave chase. They did not.
I turn around to put as much distance between us as humanly possible, but I heard a twig snap.
I duck low in time for a whistling sound to ring out above my head.

Two Sides
Heroes and monsters are the staples of fantasy. Swords and magic, fairies and dragons, adventures and death; all things went hand in hand in some worlds not our own. Elaine Dawn grew up listening to those stories as a child, imagining, aspiring, yet as she grew she slowly lost her dreams and became detached from what the world could be, slowly becoming one with the world that was. Yet one night she found herself in a dream that became reality, and oh there they were; heroes and monsters, swords of steel, magic of tales, fairies and dragons of old, and adventures that held riches and death both. She had no fantastic magic, no supernatural strength. All she had was herself, her coin, and her life. But that was enough. As she stared into the distance, to the mountain-sized horrors of the night, she smiled and tossed her coin once again.

Black Home
This is the story of a guy… Nah, just kidding. I’m Neant, nice to meet you. I know, weird name, didn’t choose it… Actually, I did. Well, I’m probably not one to be trusted blindly. What follows is some sort of summary of my life, narrated by no other than good old me. You get the privilege of learning about my story from my own point of view, isn’t that great ? How I vanquished galaxy-sized foes, how I met extraordinary people, how I created entire species… You know, regular stuff. If you’re reading this, know that what I did wasn’t exactly pro-bono. Sure, it felt nice to do good for once, but I expect a lot in return. I expect a thriving world, a sane society, and a solution to our little problem. So, don’t slack off ! Neant, out. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Chapters between 8k and 10k words Currently 204 pages

Shrike
He wants to play the latest and greatest VRMMORPG game, but he can't muster up the cash for the fancy new proprietary hardware and membership license. After months of saving up cash and arduous work, he has built a behemoth of a machine relying almost entirely on seedy old technology and a DIY guide by some dude named "Jimmy Bob." This is the story of his entry into the game. This is also a story of intrigue, exploration, introspection, batshit crazy game design, and unintended but entirely predictable consequences. This is G.C.O. Undergoing a total re-write, mostly because I think things were too rushed rather than any content or direction changes. If you are one of the few who tried Shrike when it was briefly updating, consider giving it another shot. Of no relation to either The Great Crusade or the recent (in 2017 lol) Shrike book for Warhammer by Games Workshop. All similarities in these cases are superficial; please don't sue me. Feedback welcome and encouraged, never be afraid to review or comment. HQ/Kindle-Grade cover art. Book Cover 2.0: "From the Dark"
