Kaiser Remington
Our training for the day ended and night came. I was meditating with Lucy in our usual spot when she suddenly pulled the sleeve of my shirt.
I opened my eyes and looked at her. "What is it, Lucy?" I asked.
"Is it okay if I'll go over Delphine? I'm kinda sleepy right now." She said with half-closed eyes.
"Of course you can. It's pretty late so you better sleep ahead of me." I replied while patting her head.
"You always do that brother. I'm a big girl now you know, hmp!" She said while pouting.
"Let's go. I'll bring you to Delphine." I offered as I stand up from my sitting position.
"No, I can go by myself. You must focus on your training."
"Geez, don't worry I have too much time on my hands."
"O-Okay."
I took her hand and we're heading down to go for a thirty-minute walk to our considered base or home.
Five minutes passed while we're walking and I felt some presence looking at us.
"Stop." I said as I extend my hand to stop Lucy from walking.
"Do you feel that, Lucy?"
"Feel what?"
As the moonlight shines our way, I used my God's vision and looked around. Then, the hard reality was presented right in front of me, we were surrounded by a horde of monsters
"What the-" Is my vision not working?
I tried to look again and more of them are encircling us.
"Tsk." I clicked my tongue as I released the sword that Delphine lent me. "Lucy, I want you to stay back okay?"
"Okay, brother."
A total of fourteen enemies are surrounding us, four on the front, five on the rear, three on the side, and two on the other side.
"Come at me."
The fronts and side launched at me approaching with such speed but I can still manage to follow them. The enemy was a group of ogres as I saw them when they attacked us. Our battle continued to extend for few minutes and my body is starting to tire out because of my body's excessive training each day.
*
I killed six of them and there's eight more left. However, my mana reserves are starting to drain and my defenses are starting to turn dull.
The big ogre confronted me with a big ax in his hand and attempted to hit me but I dodged to the right then swung my sword infused with magic cutting his left hand.
"Gahh!" The ogre shouts as he puts hard pressure on the remains of his left arm. Two ogres continued to attack me to my side but I managed to boosts my body mid-air but as I looked upwards, a big hammer pummelled me down to the ground with my sword raised horizontally blocking the big hammer.
"Ahh!" I shouted as I felt a hand entered my body from my back, the hand penetrated from my back to my front body making the ogre's hand visible with blood gushing on my stomach.
"Ha…" I looked sideward and saw Lucy quietly crying in my agonizing state. I motioned her to go away with my mouth but she just remained there, frozen in sadness.
The ogre quickly removed his hand from my stomach as the big hammer I'm defending became heavier. I parried the hammer to my right and leaped to the left side.

"AHHHH!!! JUST FOCUS ON ME YOU FUCKERS!!" I shouted getting all of their attention making them come right at me. "Go!" I said to Lucy as I got all of the monster's attention.
"Haa… haa… ha... Sorry Flora, I think this is really my ending." I muttered as I was casting a healing spell into my stomach but the magic is insufficient to completely heal me.
"Goodbye, everyone." I said as I released all of my shadow magic to at least kill a few of them. However, my eyesight started to darken out and my body stumbled down.
Move! Please move! I can't let them get Lucy. Please, somebody!
|Do you want power?|
"Huh? Who the heck is that?"
I said as I opened my eyes on a deep abyss with my shadow purple orb but this time, it looks darker than its usual form.
"If it can save Lucy, then I would….."
*
"Big brother! Wake up!!! Please let me save you!"
I woke up hearing Lucy's voice with my head pinned down on her lap.
"Sorry Lucy, I'm still too weak to save you." I cried as I raised my bloodied hands to touch her soft cheeks with tears coming out from the sides of her eyes.
"No! You've done enough!"
I saw all of the ogres running to kill both of us seeing our current state. "Just lie down okay?" Lucy said as she carefully put my head down and walks towards the approaching monsters.
"N-No…" I weakly said as I lied down on the ground, drained and exhausted.
I can see Lucy's knees tremble as she faces the horde.
"You've done enough!!!" Lucy shouted as she released a large wave of energy that has an enormous size in its height and width. Her beam attack brightened up the darkness of the night as she killed them one by one.
After confirming with my eyes that she defeated them, my heart was overjoyed as my consciousness fades out.
*
"Ahh.." I just muttered as woke up from Lucy's lap, crying.
"Why are you crying again, brother?" Lucy asked.
What a very nostalgic feeling.
"I'm just glad that we both made it." I smiled as I covered my eyes with my arms.
"Good morning Mr. Crybaby." Delphine said as she entered the small hut that we settled in.
"Tsk. Who would leave a bunch of children in their training ground?" I asked.
"Who's the kid there?" She asked.
"The large-scale of energy that Lucy released alerted me because it's forbidden for her to use that."
"Why?"
"Well, to tell you the truth, Lucy needed to be always with me because she can't control her power and one misuse of it can destroy a whole city."
"Thanks, Lucy." I said to her patting her head.
"Hehe. Now my debt is paid when you saved me back then."
Delphine and I laugh at her and my upcoming days with them continued to extend for four years, a very long time to train and make memories.

4 Years Later
Kaiser Remington
Tomorrow is the day when I'll be going out of this dungeon, as of now, it's still evening and they're sleeping so I headed out to get some air.
I quietly went outside and walked near the riverside.

"The wind sure is cold outside." I said as I felt the presence lurking behind me.
"Well, sure it is." Delphine said as she walks beside me.
"How are you feeling for tomorrow?"
"I'm ready and at the same time sad. Is the two of you really not coming with me?"
"If we come with you, there will be a very big chance that the shadow worshippers will find the two of you, you are the only one who can do this while I'm still finding the way to control her powers."
"Well, if you say so, just be safe."
"…"
"Kaiser, I have a gift for you."
"What gift?"
"You know, during these past few years, I'd sealed half of your original power. By now, I can remove it for you."
"So that's the reason why there's something holding my power back."
"Yes, your power level now with the seal is very strong and if I removed that seal, your true power will unleash."
"I'm kinda agitated by that, how did you put it in me?"
"Back when I poke your forehead."
"I thought it's for entering your spiritual world."
"Close your eyes."
I followed her direction and closed my eyes, she chants some unfamiliar magic spell and pokes my forehead. After her chanting, I suddenly felt a surging amount of power brimming in my body as if a dam overflowing was destroyed. I looked on my mana body and it's still the same but I can feel the massive boosts on my strength even without releasing mana.
"Wo-Woah." I uttered in surprise. "Thanks."
"One more thing, you sure you'll not cut your long hair?"
She said looking at it.
"I just liked it this way."
"Do you want me to turn it into black? Of course, I can undo it for you after you've defeated the cult."
"Thanks for mentioning it. Please change my hair color so that no one can recognize me."
She chanted another basic spell and revised its technique turning my silver-white hair to black.
"Than--"
"Don't ever thank me again if you didn't defeat the cult." She said cutting my words.
"O-okay."
"Don't worry. You can do it." She smiled and said right at me.
"I've fixed your father's emergency teleportation gate. By tweaking its settings, you can specifically go to the Capital and also return to our spot."
"What!? I can still go back by skipping the domains?" I asked.
"You can only do it every month, if you use it without refreshing for a month, it'll be destroyed immediately making it unusable."
"This time I can really call you a goddess." I sarcastically teased.
"Isn't that a bit rude?" She asked clenching her fist.
"But really, you've done many things for me. This time, just guard Lucy and I'll do the work for the two of us."
*
"Hey Lucy, please be good to Delphine okay?"
"o-o-okay. wahhhhh" she cried.
"Don't worry, after I saved all of them in the Capital, I'll introduce you to my family."
"Kay." She said clearing her tears.
I smiled and removed the scarf I got from my parent's birthday present for me that was wrapped on my father's knife. I cleaned it with my magic and wrap it in her neck.
"It's yours now, Lucy. I'll be back soon."
Lucy holds the scarf and hugged me.
"Yes, I'll wait for you brother."
Delphine, seeing that my talk with Lucy is done walks in front of me and released her weaponry portal. "Take this with you. That's the last sword that Kaiser wanted me to forge for him but he didn't come back."
"T-thanks Delphine, this was really a good sword." I said as I hide it on my storage portal.
"Just be safe and I'll accept your gratitude."
"Yes." I said to her. "Well then, Lucy, Delphine, I'll see you again. Goodbye." I said to them as I activated the teleportation gate. I can see myself fade in this domain as their faces started to blur out.
I cried as I was being transported to the Capital. These memories were precious to me as I've never experienced this in my past life. After four years in this domain, I'll now be going back and seek revenge from where I left off four years ago.
"Thank you, Lucy, Delphine. Soon, all of us will be eating at the same table."
I was greeted back by the refreshing heat of the sun. The two guards looked at me and just ignored me. I can clearly see that there was an event happening as the decorations from my surroundings look new as if it was put yesterday. At the east, I can see a large stadium that looks like a battleground for warriors but this was new and I've never seen it in my childhood.
"What's happening?" I asked.
"This kid sure is not informed. The annual competition was happening in that arena and the one who'll win will get the wish that they desire."
"..." I didn't reply and went on to walk to the other side of the arena.
I can hear the loud cheers and shouting of the people. It seems that all of them were gathered at this stadium to watch these fights.
The entrance and exits were blocked with steel gates so I secretly flew all the way and hid at the top to watch the current battle. Even from the top, I can clearly saw a very familiar girl putting all of her might in defeating a large man which looks like Frill. Many people were shouting for Frill to end the girl's life and defeat her. I stood there and watched the girl suffer from the large man's dangerous attacks. My thought was correct as most of the people from the Capital were sitting in the surrounding seats. All of the families from the upper class down to the lower class were also present as well.
Now let's get back to the fight.
The girl was weakened by the combo of attacks Frill has initiated and was shaking like a feeble kid, now she'll be finished if Frill attacks again. I can hear the loud cheers of the crowd as Frill slowly walks near the girl.
"Ahh, don't ever kill that girl." I muttered as I smirked.
