《Meanest Mob》4. World Domination

After the battle, the promised rewards were given. Alfir saw a rapid rise in his authority level and Zentury Credits. Alfir applied for leave to reorganize himself.
Alfir stared at the mirror naked, inspecting every nook and cranny of his body.
"Hmmm... No birthmarks, moles, and my skin are ordinarily pale. This appearance doesn't stand out, but it is uncanny. This guy also has black hair and dark eye pupils. He is slim but has enough muscles to be considered above average. This body won't die in a street fight. This guy's age is 16 years old, that's 11 years younger than I was. But in a logical sense, my age now is effectively 16 rather than 27 since physique also drastically influences a person's so many extending faculties."
Alfir stayed in a hotel for the night as he continue to fill up his drawing board. He bought the black marker and the whiteboard from Zentury. They are not uncommon items, but also not cheap enough to allow mere peasants to get a hold to. This sight of modernity truly makes Alfir more motivated.
"Hmmm... After reorganizing information about my identity, then it's time I plan for World Domination... Since this guy has a bleak past and has nothing to restrain him, this is just perfect."
The old MINION #12913 is a commoner who possesses immense hatred for the world. His reasons go on a list. It can be easily simplified as his hate for authority and power— representing monarchy and mutants.
"I just have to use my every advantage..."
Alfir knows that the recent mission will not kill him thanks to his prophetic knowledge. But Alfir knows how to humble himself.
1.) He is not omniscient, just knowledgeable of some parts about the past and future, and...

2.) He is neither god nor the god of this world. Alfir won't even entertain the idea he created this world.
Who knows, Alfir might only be a simulation existing for the amusement of its creator. It will be best for Alfir if his life is a self wish fulfillment, but no— Nah uh...
"Do we kill this kid?"
Fuck no! That kid is the main protag! Kill him, and it's the end of the world (to Alfir at least). If the main protag of the story dies now, the future might be screwed.
After Alfir's short vacation, he was immediately sent to a C rank mission of annihilating an enemy organization.
"Enemy organization my ass! This is an orphanage."
"I will do it. You're too young for this anyway."
"Nah, let me do it."
Alfir motioned for his partner to stop. He drew his steel sword and swung. A head fell. It's Alfir's fellow minion.
"If it's world domination, then I might as well do it soon."
The 15-year-old red-haired kid hatefully glared at Alfir. He stood a step forward among the other kids. As the oldest, he felt responsible for whatever happens next. Despite his usual aggressiveness, he looked calm in Alfir's eyes. The destined protag of this world, stood strong in the face of Alfir's steel.
Alfir knows that a butterfly effect is inevitable at this point in time. The best he can do is to mitigate its altering effects, then turn it to his advantage.
"Nice to meet you, Deron. You are comfortable with Der, correct?"
"Don't talk to me, scum."
"Then I shall do that."
"..."
"But you can't stop me from making a speech, do you?"
Alfir sheathed his sword still dripping with blood. He extended his hands to the sky declaring with theatric opulence—

"This world is filled with scum. The crown, heroes, mutants, and you— them— abandoned children worth less than shit."
Alfir pointed his index finger at Deron, then the kids he is trying to protect.
"Order is this world's greatest fiction. You felt that there is peace, when in fact, you are just ignorant of the chaos of this world."
Alfir's words weighed heavy in Deron's mind. Moreso the person speaking to him is someone near his age.
"But! Chaos is not our reality either. Do they? Who wants to live in pain, desolation, and darkness? I don't want to. How about you? It's a rhetorical question, you don't have to think of an answer. You should be living in this orphanage cozy and all, but that is not true for the rest of the orphans out in this world~"
Alfir continued. It is not a speech, but a rant. Mostly, Alfir is venting. He gave Deron no time to think for himself. Alfir is doing his best to instill the idea of unfairness in this world through Deron's thick skull.
Normally, Zentury should have succeeded in leveling the orphanage with the cost of Deron going on a rampage as he slaughter every minion involved. Deron with his rampaging mutant abilities will mercilessly extinguish Alfir's life. Alfir doesn't want that, leading to the following events.
"What do you want?"
"Hmmm... I guess I have to simplify it for your puny brain."
"Huh?"
"I am defecting."
Inside the cellar where the orphans hid, Alfir took his first step to world domination.
STEP 1— DEFECT
STEP 2— BUILD AN INDEPENDENT FORCE
STEP 3— TAKE OVER THE WORLD
Option 1: Open to revisions.
Option 2: If world domination fails, resort to world destruction.
"Wait here, kids. I will go kill some baddies."

In The Tall Grass
Elizabeth Wilson commits suicide. She was the golden girl among her peers in Darkwood, Washington who stood above the pressure of her drug-ridden town. Explore the summer before her senior year that triggered the domino effect of Elizabeth's emotional and psychological breakdown that lead her to take her own life. This is the prequel to the main story, Petrichor and was never intended to be made. I wrote this because I wanted to explore Elizabeth's character and show how the main characters have changed since this event. I decided to release this first because Petrichor is undergoing a full rewrite. In the meantime, I'm writing a side story called Mourning Glory that takes place between the second and third act of Petrichor. Development is going rather fast so I suggest to to read that if you like this story
