Alliyah was slowly but steadily driving her insane. She was not used to so much touching… But darn it, she was loving it.
Over time she realized how different being with that woman felt, compared to everyone else she’d ever met. It made her feel not only wanted but also needed and cared for.
No, she never liked to be watched, maybe because for so many years people didn’t perceive her the way that she wished they would. But even following her transition, she mostly stayed home, away from others. New York was supposed to have been a change, but it wasn’t up until she met Skylar that she truly initiated her transformation. Then Skylar got her to meet Ocean, someone like her! Well, sort of.
But the moments with Alliyah felt like a dream. Or even a parallel universe. Whatever it was, it was their own, they were oblivious to the people that didn’t belong there.
Alliyah’s intense, considerate gaze made her feel seen, not watched. And her touch, her lips, they made her feel things the most talented actor in the world could never portray nor could the most skilled writer ever describe. That girl was her haven. The home she had been looking for all along, even without recognizing it.
The tall young woman gently pushed her, holding her by the waist, until she was right against the wall, next to the door. Soon, Alliyah’s tongue brushed her sensitive neck which made her gasp. At that moment Alliyah stopped and looked down at her, their eyes met.
There it was, that feeling. She craved her so much that it scared her, thus she bit her lip, to stop herself from saying more than she wanted to.
Not waiting for Alliyah to make the next move, she grabbed at Medusa’s hoodie and pulled her in for another encounter of their lips.

Rayne enjoyed the way Alliyah's body felt against her own, almost enjoying how small she was compared to her girlfriend. Her fingers traveled up and she felt Alliyah’s scar on her undercut, before moving to the back of her neck and deepening the kiss.
Alliyah’s hands explored her body, from lightly scratching at her back, to gripping her hips, then one of them cupped her cheek, while the other moved down to between her thighs.
“May I-”
“Please, don’t stop-”
Both women spoke at the same time. But while Alliyah’s voice was raspy, her own was just about a murmur, as she guided Alliyah’s hand further up her thigh.
The tall girl slid the material of her underwear to the side, and when her girlfriend’s fingers finally were where she needed, she couldn’t help closing her eyes and sucking in a gasp before letting out a whimper.
“Is all of this for me…?” She could feel Alliyah’s trademark teasing smirk on her neck, which only drove her madder and made her face heat up even more.
“Shut up and-”
Suddenly, the door opened right next to them.

The Stormcrow Cycle
Once a powerful and lauded witch, Ba'an salu-Ba'an now lives alone in a cave in the desert, waiting to die. When she rescues an outlander from certain death she becomes embroiled in a deadly game of politics and empire, of heart and soul, but worst of all--of hope and love and a chance at a peaceful future. Can a disgraced witch find a reason to live her life again--and if so, what price must she pay? The Stormcrow Cycle is a trilogy comprising of The Exile, The Lion, and Abomination. Tags or genres for each book: The Exile: romance, slice-of-life The Lion: romance, slice-of-life, politics Abomination: tragedy, high/epic fantasy (aka "Everything is on fire!") Updates once a week whenever I have time. Cross-posted on Wattpad and Scribble Hub. The CBMokedi cover will return! Excerpt: She looked down at him again. Young. Healthy, from what she could see, except for the wound that was killing him. He was handsome in a way that suggested a life of wealth and plenty. She did not think he had ever starved. Someone important. Her shadow fell across him, and he frowned. Blearily, he opened his eyes. They were amber and bright, even as he lay dying in the dirt. She could feel his soul, blazing inside of him like a fire refusing to die even as his body began to fail. He met her gaze, eyes widening in what she guessed was surprise—or shock. But he never looked away, staring up at her as though transfixed. Ba’an made her decision. She raised her hand and covered his eyes. In another moment, a murder of crows cawed as they took wing. The man and woman were gone from the road, leaving only the dead staring up into the sky. Note: This is a high-fantasy set in a low-magic world. The first book is largely character-driven and we really only hit the real plot in Book II, so if you're not fond of long epic yarns you ought to skip this one. I also don't include trigger warnings, but mind the "traumatizing content" tag--all societies minus one practice slavery and the world is indeed, rather grim!
