《Cruxborne Legends》Minor Update: Volumes and Projects

As you all have no doubt begun reading into "Cruxborne Legends" and are starting to wonder about where the updates are for this story, let me say this:
This is NOT my main focus.
Unfortunately, I have a bigger project in mind that helps set the stage of any of my future works either here on Royal Road or on Amazon Kindle/Paperback. There shouldn't be any doubt that I plan to release more of "Cruxborne Legends" once I get the first story out for readers to enjoy on Kindle inbetween writing new books, but please keep in mind that those stories take time to write in full. To help with keeping the updates and the story separate for your general enjoyment, I have split the story up into volumes.
- Other Chapters: This volume will contain any primers, refreshers, TL;DRs, update chapters, and anything not immediately relevant to the main story.
- Volume One "A New World": First "arc" of the story where we are introduced to the gameworld, our cast of characters, and the first overall story goal for the entire volume to lead us into the next volume and so on.

Dominion Expansion (a 4X LitRPG)
Clay is one of the world's top players of 4X games, a genre where the goal is to eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, and eXterminate. He's also one of the only players in the world to so stubbornly stick to the one city strategy, a favorite tactic of his that involves only ever using a single city or planet depending on the game's setting. All that matters to him is winning with his favorite strategy, but earning the respect of his fellow players for taking a sub-optimal strategy to its highest level has always been a nice bonus. And now it is because of his skill and entertaining determination that he has been chosen to represent a higher realm in a strategy game where the fate of Earth and dozens of other worlds are at stake. To the victor goes the spoils, and the spoils include entire worlds and billions of lives. That's how he ends up representing the ascended realm of Hell in a grand "game" between an entire pantheon of godly beings and other higher powers. But while it may just be a game to those overseeing it, it is a genuine war for survival to those participating in it where billions of real lives will go to the victor of whoever wins, and many will die before the game is over. Quick Author's Notes: System inspired by Civilization, Endless Legend, Stellaris, and Crusader Kings 2. Combat mechanics inspired by the Total War series. Slow-paced with many long-term plans. Protagonist has a personality heavily inspired by Ron Swanson. Know who that is and love him? You should like Clay. Know who Ron Swanson is and hate him? You'll probably hate Clay. Planning on writing every single day (turn). Days with important things happening will have the system/game mechanics be the priority of the chapter. Days where there isn't really anything important happening will be more slice-of-life and focused on character interactions. Designed a dice-based randomized map generator to create the world as the story goes on, so I don't even know myself exactly what's going to happen as a lot is dependent on world generation. Tech tree with hundreds of technologies already designed. There is a "harem," but it's not the main focus, the girls won't be cardboard cutouts, and I'm not going to completely forget about any previous women in the relationship whenever a new one comes along. One last thing. The "game" starts off with primitive technology level. The current plan is for the "endgame" tech level to be equivilent to WW2-era technology. After that and war just gets boring until you end up in space. Cover is temporary and made from royalty-free stock images while waiting for the real cover's commission to finish.

To my surprise it's a perfect square hit and the leading veteran crashes into the headstone he was just about to jump over. It was waaay too close for my comfort. Not too far off in the future, a meteor strikes the earth leaving the world in devastation. The impact of such a massive object changed the enviroment entirely, from tsunamis to tornadoes and the complete rewriting of the world's ecosytems. The worst part of it though was the fact the meteor was not composed of rocks and minerals. Mana, otherwise known as magic, composed the meteor in its entirety. With this foregin element introduced, the very biology of everything changed. Meet Ridge who even after living in this new world for several months doesn't have a clue as to what he is, because not everyone was lucky enough to change into things from fairy tales. Instead he has to work to find out what he is and what his dreams mean, all while trying to find a way to survive the monsters and dangers that lurk in the new enviroments.

The Systems of the Multiverse - A Guide for the Multiversal Traveler
The Systems of the Multiverse have their issues. I, an observer from outside the multiverse have made it into my mission to tell you, the multiversal traveler about those issues and dangers. This is a relatively low effort NaNoWriMo and Writhathon project. I want to test myself if I can manage 55k words in a month, likely updating every single day until the end. This story is told in the form of an in universe book. Well, I say story... While this definetly won't be great, I still hope it will be enjoyable. I do my best to avoid grammar mistakes and spelling issues, but won't promise anything. Corrections are welcome, this is also an excercise to improve my writing from a technical standpoint. Not from a worldbuilding and character standpoint however, for that you need time. Oh, the keyboards (and computers) that the observer destroys are not real and only exists in story to have an excuse to easily end this story at the end of NaNoWriMo. I also personally like reading LitRPG stories, so this isn't meant to hate them. It might come over that way, but many of those issues are simply fun to think about: what would really happen if the world is so, seen through a lease of negativity :-) [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
