The weather gradually became worse overtime, as fog started to engulf the town of Spring Haven, making it extremely dark. The guards on top of the watchtowers, could not see anything beyond the towers railing .

They didn't know what was coming, that death was upon them.

Dark figures started to emerge from the forest not very far from the town. It was the demons, and while many started coming out of from the shadows of the trees and branches, some of them were already ahead crouching down with fog like substance coming out of some holes on their backs.

They were all different shapes and sizes, but all of them had missing parts of their faces; some had only an eye in the middle of their face while others had either a mouth or a completely disfigured face. Though the demon army was assembling quickly, they did not attack the unaware town yet.

They just kept waiting while clearly looking impatient, then suddenly many demons stood at attention and formed two lines facing each other, making a path from the forest.

A frightening demon came out of the forest, slowly walking with its hands behind its back seemingly noble and dignified. This demon was very different from the others; he had the figure and size of a normal tall man but unnaturally long,and pitch black arms and legs. His face was completely hidden with a metal helmet that had long and sharp horns pointing to the sky.

The demons kept making way for their general as he slowly made his way to the front of the army. As soon as he reached the front he stopped and started looking in the direction of the town blurred by fog.

Then a crawling,seemingly thin and pathetic looking demon approached the demon general and turned its head all the way to face its superior, then slowly opened its mouth revealing very sharp razor like teeth and it appeared as if it was trying to speak.

The demon: ...... Masterrrr.......Pleassseee...Orderrr...rrrsss.....

And then the General gave the small demon a single look before pointing towards Spring Haven with one of his unusually long arms that had hands with extremely long pointy fingers.

The Demon General: ... Leave no survivors... "He said with a very sharp and clear voice"

The demon next to the general suddenly smiled from ear to ear. It then got up from the ground revealing that it was in fact taller than the general and that it was so thin it had no stomach or internal organs

The demon: ... the mastteerrr.... HAS SPOKEN!!!" it said to the demons before roaring as if giving them the signal to attack"

And after that the demons eagerly charged at the town; some of them were so happy they were drooling from their mouth...

Grey-shades grandfather who was napping while sitting on a chair at home suddenly woke up...

The old man: So they're finally back... "He said before he got up from his chair"

He went to the closet and took out a container that was as large as a coffin with one hand then proceeded to leave the house...

At the towns barracks Jin was still interrogating Pike when a guard suddenly barged in the room all flustered.

The guard: Captain I have an urgent report...huff, huff ..."He said while being clearly distraught"

The guard captain: Calm down son, what is wrong?

The guard: sir, huff..., outside there's an unusual fog that appeared out of nowhere and it's blocking all our field of view; our scouts can't see anything.

Pike: Did you say FOG?!

The guard: umm, yes I did...

Pike: Oh no! I've got to get out of here "He said while struggling to get out of bed"

The doctor: Hey you can't leave just yet; you're a mess you know, and you are going to need a lot of rest.

Pike: I can't right now doc I need to RUN!

Jin: From the way you are acting, I'm assuming you know who or what brought this fog upon us, am I correct?

Pike: Yes... "He said hesitatingly"

Pike:It's demons... This is how my squad was annihilated.

The room went silent for a moment...

The g captain: What is going to happen to my town?...

The doctor: Are we going to die?

The guard: Sir, orders please!

Jin: Captain you should prepare your men for an assault, but focus mostly on evacuation we may be too late to form a defensive line.

The g captain: umm, alright, GUARDS! "He said before leaving the room with the other guard close behind him"

Jin: Doctor, you should go take your family and evacuate; it is not safe here anymore.

The doctor: will do Jin, and thank you... "He said before grabbing his tools and leaving the room"

Jin: And you, come with me.

Jin then took Pike with him outside

meanwhile outside the barracks...

Tanya: Just how long am I going to have to wait now to meet my husband huh?! "She was saying to the guard in front of the barracks"

Guard:...umm, some help here please "He then tried to signal at Morrigan to help him again but she wasn't paying attention to either of them"

Morrigan: Grey... what is all this fog?

Grey-Shade: I don't know, but to be fair it was already dark and gloomy before, how is this any worse?

Morrigan: Look you can't even see further than my arm's length, and this fog appeared just like that, this is not normal.

Grey-Shade: Yeah, and your arms are pretty short too.

Morrigan: Eyy! That was uncalled for.

Suddenly the guard captain came out of the barracks with many guards following behind while giving out orders...

The guard captain: ... And remember prioritize evacuation; avoid combat at all costs and head towards the docks. Now all of you go!

The guards: YES SIR!! "They all said before splitting up in different directions"

Tanya: What is going on? "She said all confused"

Then Jin came out of the barracks as well with pike...

Tanya: Jin!

Jin: Oh Tanya, Grey, you saved me the trouble of looking for you guys. Look we need to evacuate now!

Tanya: What do you mean?

Jin: Look no time to explain, the gist of it is demons are coming and we need to get out of here.

Tanya: Demons? Oh no.

Jin: Grey,Morrigan let's go.

"We're coming" they said together

Jin: Where's Old man Olaf?

Tanya: I don't know, we left him at the house.

Jin: Should we look for him?

Tanya: Come on you know who he is, he'll end up finding us. "She said all confident"

Jin: Alright let's go...

Tanya: Wait who's that behind you?

Jin: Oh this is Pike he's the one who brought news of the demon attack.

Tanya: Oh impressive, and I see you are a demon hunter too huh, and that signet, were you part of squad Medusa?

Pike: How did you know this was my squads signet ?

Tanya: I'm a retired Venatores and Scar was my colleague when i was still active a long time ago.

Tanya: The life just wasn't for me... So what happened to him ?

Pike: Captain Scar ..."He then hesitated for a second before finally saying" Died helping me escape.

Tanya: ...So that's how he went huh... He always was a goddamn hero.

Jin: This is no time or grief we need to move, now! "He said before the group started running through the fog"

Towards the outskirts of the town the guards on the watchtowers couldn't see anything in the fog ...

Guard 1: Hey mate, can you see anything?

Guard 2: Nah I gave up a while ago, let's sit it out and wait for the fog to pass yeah?

Guard 1: Sounds good.

Guard 3: Guys... Can you see the watchtower to our right?

Guard 1: No.

Guard 2: not really.

Guard 3: I saw a torch light flick for a second in that direction...

Guard 2: Maybe they were trying to signal us, should we light one too?

Guard 3: Sure, here's a torch, got anything to light it with? "He said while handing out the torch to his friend."

Guard 2: Yeah I have something right here, wait a sec..."He said while reaching for his bag on the ground"

Guard 1: Guys I'm going to call out to the other guys and see how they're doing be right back."

He said before going down some ladders to the floor beneath them that is directly facing the other tower"

...Then the guard with the torch suddenly lit it up with a tool he had stored in his pouch...

Guard 1: HEEYYY You Guys Alright?!

The guard suddenly called out to the other guards on the watchtower"

But alas he was answered with nothing but silence...

Guard 1: Wow that's so weird they're not answering, what the hell can they not hear me? HELLO! "He called before hearing a sudden loud noise"

... Then he quickly went up the ladder where his comrades were...

Guard 1: ...What the hell are you guys doing? "He said"

But The watchtower was completely empty

Guard 1: Huh ...? "The guard was confused his comrades were here just a minute ago"

...Then he heard the some noise towards his right on the rooftops of some houses...

Guard 1: What the hell is that? "He said to himself before he noticed an extinguished torch at his feet..."

Guard 1: Isn't this..." He thought to himself before picking it up"

Guard 1: I should light this up and check what's going on... "He then picked up the tool his friend used and started to light the torch..."

Guard 1: Hey guys, are you playing a prank on me? "He said before suddenly the torch was lit up..."

... Showing that there were several demons who were holding onto the pillars of the watchtower, and were standing on top of the rooftops around it; they were smiling at the guard, as if they were toying with him...

Guard 1: Huh...? Wait what...

...And before he could sound the alarm or even move a muscle he was overwhelmed and ripped apart...

The demons started attacking everything on sight after they dealt with the watchtowers while travelling from rooftop to rooftop. They could see in the fog so they had an enormous advantage compared to the humans.

This was their territory now and they were the hunters, making the humans nothing more than prey...

Meanwhile the guards are trying their best to evacuate the townspeople with extremely low visibility, some of them were fast but others weren't ...

Guard: Come on guys take only what you need forget anything unnecessary.

Mother: But we are going to need a lot of provisions when we travel who knows when we will come back right?

Father: Yeah can't be too careful, Kids are you done?!

Son: Yes papa, I finished packing.

Daughter: Yes, i'm done, I'm coming.

Guard: Fine just hurry up we're late as it is.

Daughter: Umm mister, what is that over there? "She said while pointing behind him..."

Guard: What is it? "He said before turning around..."

...He then noticed a weird looking figure in the fog, but it wasn't visible so he didn't know what it was...

Guard: Hey is that you Morris? Fiona? "He kept saying names before suddenly the figure started getting closer..."

...It got taller and taller, before the guard finally noticed that it wasn't human. He suddenly grabbed his weapon from his belt and activated it revealing a brown colored blade...

Guard: You guys should run that way and don't stop until you reach the docks..."He then pointed towards a street on his left" Hurry!

... Then the father and mother grabbed their children and started running away towards the direction the guard pointed towards. The demon started getting closer and closer to the guard...

Guard: Stop right there monster!! "He said before taking a battle stance."

...The demon gave one glance at the guard then turned to his right and followed after the family that ran away...

Guard: How dare you!

... And Just as the guard was going to slash at the demon for turning his back towards him he felt heavy breathing behind him...

Guard: What...

...He suddenly felt a chill down his spine and couldn't move as he watched the demon disappear into the fog towards the direction of the family he thought he had saved.

He may have been terrified , but he couldn't help taking one glance behind him. Just as he turned head around he was greeted to the sight of a mouth as big as his head with teeth razor sharp, and he noticed that the demon was opening his mouth slowly and the more he did the bigger it got, revealing even more teeth

... Then the guard suddenly mustered up the courage to act and as he turned around to slash his enemy, the demon ate the man's head whole with one bite...

Meanwhile the family members were running...

Mother: Huff...With all this fog how can we tell that we are near the docks or not?

Father: You'll know when you hear the sea...

Daughter: Father, can you put me down already I can run on my own you know.

Father: Huff, out of the question, I won't be putting you down...Huff, until we reach the ships.

Daughter: What about big bro, he's running just fine isn't he?

Father: Your big brother is a better runner.

Mother: Hey, I can hear waves...

Father: Great that means we're probably close...

...As the family was running, they couldn't see anything so they could only follow the street and the road which indicated that there was going to be a right turn next. As soon as they reached the turn they all stopped running...

Father: Oh no... "He said when he noticed an unknown figure further ahead..."

Mother: Oh no is that a demon!

Father: Lauren, take the kids and run... Hurry!

...Then the figure came closer to the family revealing it was a friendly guard...

The guard: Are you guys alright, come I'll escort you to the docks they're close.

Father: Oh thank the angels...

Mother: Couldn't you have spoken, earlier you gave us a heart attack!

The guard: come now, I also didn't know what you were until I heard you guys screaming. Let's move...

... As soon as they started moving, the demon from before jumped from a rooftop nearby and landed on top of the guard killing him instantly...

Father: Huh?

Mother: What just happened?

...The kids suddenly started screaming at the top of their lungs

Father: Lauren, Take the Kids and...

And before he could finish he was mauled by the demon leaving only the mother and the kids as its next targets...

Mother: Oh no..."She said unable to move an inch"

The demon started getting closer, slowly walking terrifying both the mother and the kids with his unnatural length and physique. The demon was undoubtedly fast, but he took his time approaching the family, as if he was enjoying this moment...

Son: Mom, take sis and run...

He then and got in front of his mother with both his arm out as if to signal the demon to stop.

Son: Go now...

As he said that the demon stabbed him with his humongous hand, completely dismantling the kids organs.

Son:...Mom, I'm sorry.

He then fell flat on his face when the demon pulled out his hand.

Son: Sissss... runnnn.

...He said as his mother and little sister watched the life extinguish from his eyes...

Mother: Nooo, my son... How could you!!

And without any delay the demon cut the mother's head off, which then landed close to her daughters feet. It made her scream, and cry uncontrollably even louder than before...

The demon signaling that he had enough grabbed the girl by the neck and brutally slammer her on the floor. The terrified girl could not move as she was at the mercy of the demon.

The monster showed her his hands which had fingers that had very sharp nails and started waving it around. Suddenly, the demon pointed with one finger and started moving slowly towards the girl's right eye.

The girl confused at first finally understood what was going to happen to her and started to struggle, and then the demon slammed her even harder on the ground to calm her down after which he continued what he was doing before...

The demon's finger nail got closer and closer to the poor girl's eye, then finally his finger nail touched her eye slightly and as the girl started to struggle more and more the demon's finger dug in deeper and deeper; the girl suddenly started to writhe in pain and her feet started to fidget more and more, until finally...she simply stopped moving...

The demon then got up and started to look up at the sky and started twitching as if he was having a climax...

Olaf: I see you're pretty happy with yourself over there huh? "He said while getting closer and closer to demon as if he could sense him in the fog"

Olaf: What in the angels name... "He said when he noticed what the demon had done."

Olaf: I came too late... "He said as he violently put down the box he held on top of his shoulder"

He then took out from the box a tool and a steel sword with unusual inscriptions on the blade...

Olaf: ...You are going to pay for that.

He said before suddenly activating his weapons; from his tool a bright yellow blade came out while his sword's inscriptions started glowing...

The demon suddenly rushed at Olaf from the front, which the later dodged with ease by jumping behind the monster...

Olaf: Cocky I see, you thought I wouldn't be able to dodge huh?

He said before cutting down the demon's right arm with his sword, and his legs using his tool...The demon suddenly fell down on his back unable to do anything, and as Olaf got close to him he tried to cut him using his remaining arm, which was easily dealt with as the old man cut it down with ease...

Olaf: Is this how you tortured those poor people huh? Well you can have a taste of your medicine! "He said before he stabbed the demon in the eye with his tool, instantly killing him."

Olaf: Well that was easy; thankfully it wasn't an elder demon.

Olaf:I should probably look for my daughter and grand kid and leave before more demons show up...

And before he left he took one last glance at the girl lying lifeless on the ground. After one sad look at her, he vanished into the fog...

...Near The docks

Tanya: We should be close to the docks now.

Jin: Yeah we ran pretty far.

Pike: I think I can see the shadow of a ship over there... and people, there's a lot of people in front of us.

Jin: Yeah that's it let's go.

...Then Jin and Tanya suddenly stopped walking and turned around...

Grey-shade: What's up dad, mom?

Tanya: Haven't seen one of these bastards in years, can't say I missed them.

...She said as four demons started approaching the group.

Jin: Pike take the kids and board the ship.

Grey-shade: What about you dad?

Morrigan: Leave it to the guards, uncle let's leave.

Jin: No the guards can't handle these demons, especially after what Pike told me, they will be coming at us with an army.

Tanya: yes, and I am going to help you.

Jim: But, didn't you say you had enough of being a Venatores?

Tanya: Not when they threaten my kid!

Jin: Well then , let's teach these demons a lesson shall we...

Then both tanya and jin turned around to face the demons...
