CH 15
The first thing that Seth noticed was the pain that ran throughout his body. That and the rough shaking that wouldn’t stop. As Seth groggily opened his eye, the first thing he saw was a rough looking man t shaking his arm.
“Oh good, you’re awake! I woke up earlier and was about to just leave, and then I saw you just lying over there. Figured it would be better to wake you up,” the stranger said in an oddly cheerful tone.
Still half asleep, Seth looked around him and wince. Remembering the fight from last night or early morning, depending on a person’s perspective. His body was still aching from the electric shock. Sleeping on the floor certainly didn’t help ease his discomfort. The sun had already begun to rise and the roof that they were currently standing on was looking much different than the night before. It was strange how places illuminated by sunlight look much more vibrant than they did at night.
“Who are you?” Seth asked as he slowly got up.
The man pointed at himself. “You don’t recognize me? I guess you never seen me without the mask. It’s me, King Kong.” He pointed at a burnout mess a few feet away. “The electricity fried my mask, along with everything else. “
Seth took out his phone to confirm this fact. What faced him was a blank black screen. None of the buttons he pressed got the phone to work. His cloth was also a bit burnt on closer examination. “Thanks for waking me up, I guess.”
“No problem. I just have to ask...how come you didn’t use that knife when you were fighting me?” King Kong ask with a glare.
The alarms in Seth’s mind began to turn. He knew King Kong was a fighting obsessed maniac as evident from last night, but he hadn’t thought much of it when he decided to take part in a match with him. Who knew the match would devolve into a life-or-death situation? He had originally wanted to see how far he could go in a match with just the bare minimum.

Seth ignored his inner alarm deliberately and as he was too tired to get into another fight or to even think of a proper answer to turn King Kong away. Seth decided to answer with the truth. “I wanted to test my unarmed skills against you. To keep the fight even. I didn’t want to accidentally kill you.”
This answer turned out to be a mistake.
“Kill me accidentally? Listen to this guy. Think you’re some big shot now just because you were able to last a few blows with me, huh? Get up right now so I can knock you right back down!” King Kong scoffed and raised his fist, threatening to swing it at Seth.
“Wait! Wait! Wait!” Seth hurriedly shouted. “Can’t we save the fighting for next time? I’m exhausted from last night’s fight. We were really lucky that he let us go. He could have killed us instead of knocking us out, and I'm too tired to get into another one.”
“Don’t care! I usually won’t punch a sitting man, but those sound like fighting words to me. It seems as if you’re looking down on me! I’ll give you 3 seconds. If you’re not up by then, I'll beat you while you’re still sitting down.”
Seth thought fast. He couldn’t reason himself out of this, so he decided to try something else. Seth still had one trick up his sleeve, the oldest trick in the book. He pointed and shout in panic “Look! He's back!”
“Where is that bastard?” King immediately turned around and search for Mr. White. When he didn’t see anyone, he turned around to face Seth and said “I don’t see that bastard an- Hey! Come back here!”
All King Kong could see was Seth’s fleeing back becoming smaller and disappearing off into town.
