“What??.. Forty copper coins? for each room?”
“Yeah! isn’t it too much?”
Kazese was petrified after hearing the cost of the inn’s room.
“I’m sorry, sir. But this is the price we have been charging for a room since last year.”
Kazese was still petrified so Aoi took over the bargain.
“Um.. Excuse me Sir... Could you please help us in this matter? We are new here.”
Aoi looked at the inn keeper with kitty eyes filled with hope. Her cute eyes stared at the inn keeper drowning him in her words and the inn keeper fell more deeper and deeper into her eyes. He was blushing in no time.
“Alright.. I’m willing to give you a room with two beds for forty coppers. Take it or leave it!”
“Hai! Thank you, mister.”
“Sure! Here’s your key”
Aoi received the key from the inn keeper and pulled the petrified Kazese by his collar, dragging him towards the upper level of the inn building through the stairs.
They both enter the room at the inn.
“Wow!! It’s so nice!” (Aoi)
“It sure is forty copper coins alright”
“We need to go to sleep, we need to go to the guild tomorrow morning too”
“Talking about the guild, Aoi? Didn’t you choose a staff as your weapon at the guild?”
“Yeah, what about it?”
“Well, you used an arrow at the test field. But why?”
(Aoi sitting on the bed)
“Yeah... I did choose a staff but since I specialize in magic, I have no need for a staff to amplify my magic. I decided to use a bow to use my magic as a weapon”
“So, you don’t need a magic staff to use the magic in you?”
“Not everyone needs a staff to use their magic, magic isn’t some sort of power that you gain through some wishes here. Everyone on this land has the capability to use magic but since it’s out of their capabilities to use them freely, they use staffs and other amplifiers to use them”

“So, you’re saying that you have no need for an amplifier because...?”
“Because I am an amplifier myself, I was blessed with divine magic and I have had a hundred years of practice too”
“Well, though it doesn’t make sense, I think i get it”
“Really?? Good.. Now let’s go to bed”
“Hmm.. okay. I’ll be sleeping on the left bed near the window and you on the other”
“Sure!”
They both go to bed after a tiring day at the guild test. Kazese looked more tired and exhausted since it was a first that he had ever put his life in a dangerous situation and an addition to that it was a monster. He falls asleep as he stares at the ceiling.
Next morning Aoi and Kazese goes to the Guild for their new identity after they receive the result and their capability report after going through their test.
“I’m glad that you have arrived.... Kazese-san and um.. Aoi-san”
“Ah! Mr. Informer! You can call me Kazese”
“Very well, then call me Hisashi’
“And you can also call me Aoi, Mr. Hisashi”
“Sure, this will make it easier to communicate...won’t it?
“Exactly”
“Now, if you want your I.D then you have to go to the reception and meet Rina. She will present you wtih your I.D and also give you your overall report”
“Rina?”
“Yes, Aoi please move towards the reception”
(At the reception)
“Good morning Hisashi” (Rina)
“Yes, hello there Rina. Would you mind helping our new members here?” (Hisashi)
“Of course not!..... So, Kazese and Aoi-san right? (Rina)
“Yes, Rina-san and please drop the honorifics” (Kazese)
“Then I’ll have have to ask you the same” (Rina)
“It would be impolite to.. but sure” (Kazese)
“Thank you.... So Aoi... according to the overall result of the test taken by you yesterday, your strength is forty, your magic with seventy, endurance being fifty and intelligence seems quite bad but fifteen is somewhat okay around fifteen” (Rina)

“Haha.. Aoi is not as smart as I thought she would be” (Kazese)
“Oh.. shut...” (Aoi)
“Haha.. fifteen isn’t bad at all. We’ve met people with five on their intelligence too” (Hisashi)
“Now then, here are Kazese’s report. Strength- fifty, magic- twenty, endurance- twenty and intelligence is thirty” (Rina)
“Well, just as I expected. You still have ways to go and I’m sure you will be able to level up in no time” (Hisashi)
“Kazese-kun? What’s wrong?” (Aoi)
“Um.. Nothing.. I was just thinking what level am I?” (Kazese)
“Kazese, when coming to levels.... every new members are in between level 1-5 and according to the Bonnacon that you killed, you are probably around level 4” (Rina)
“Level 4 ain’t so bad Kazese. Not every beginner kills a level 4 Bonnacon” (Hisashi)
“Hisashi is right. Level 4 is kind of impressive for someone who wielded a no tier weapon, you must be really strong and you will grow a lot stronger in the future” (Rina)
“Yeah, I hope so. I’ve a Demon lord to kill” (Kazese murmuring to himself)
“I’m sorry? I didn’t get it!” (Hisashi)
“Oh.. it’s nothing..just talking to myself” (Kazese)
“Here are your I.D’s and please sign here” (Rina)
Rina gives Kazese and Aoi their I.D and a paper that looks like a contract and they both sign on it.
“Well, welcome to Guild Nero. You are now an official adventurer” (Hisashi)
Aoi and Kazese looks at each other and share a proud smile.
“Oh! and you can keep your weapons as a gift from the guild. You can upgrade them at the blacksmiths” (Hisashi)
“Blacksmiths?” (Aoi)
“Yes, there’s a blacksmith who lives next to this guild. He can help you upgrade any weapons and armors there is, he is the best there is in fact.” (Hisashi)
“Thank you very much, Mr. Hisashi” (Kazese)
“No problem at all. You can ask Rina if you need anything” (Hisashi)
“Yes, you may. And you can come up to me if you want a recommendation on the quest request” (Rina)
“Thank you... you are so kind!!” (Aoi)
“How about taking your first quest?” (Hisashi)
“I was thinking about the same. What do you think Kazese?” (Rina)
“Sure! I mean it’s not like I have any thing to do” (Kazese)
“Fine, and I have the perfect job for you two” (Rina)
(Rina bends towards the scrolls below the reception desk and picks a slightly blue colored scroll and places it on the table.)
“There you go! Your first quest request!” (Rina)

Ars Magica
Our vision comes back into focus. Our eyes, while being able to perceive the immediate surroundings, still leave us with our minds uncomprehending towards what is actually occurring. Sure, there are definitive things that we can focus on, like the fact that we're either out upon the open sea or the open ocean, there not being much of a difference with no land in sight, as well as the fact that we appear to be upon a haphazardly constructed metal boat, whose seams are barely able to keep a hold of themselves in the crashing waves. However, that does not let us understand what exactly is causing the waves in the first place. If we were to rewind time, we'd find ourselves upon a calm sea under a peaceful sky with the only difference, being a small whirlpool that would be the precursor towards this uproar around the boat. Lightning flashes in the sky, with no clouds being near, and anyone actually manning the boat has either died towards the cause of the smashing tides in the first place, or are fighting amongst the flashes of lightning, all while trying not to become devoured, demolished, and utterly decimated by the beast roiling in the whirling waves. To better understand exactly what is happening here, there is one singular event that needs to be understood, that needs to be explained, and that is the arrival of a creature named Dave. Stepping back from current events and going towards this creature's first appearance in the world, we begin to hear the sound of water slowly dripping across rocky ground. The cavern is utterly silent except for this one constant, its cause feeding channels downwards, sloping towards cracks in the rubble along the floor from broken stalagmites and stalactites. And there, lying on top of something which had fallen over recently, judging from its cracks, is a person, the creature named Dave. His form is fast asleep, either from the impact or from an intoxication, judging from the smell upon its breath. A bright light suffuses into it for a second, giving life towards the pale skin, before it slowly dies down back to the comfortable black of the cave that it's within. Before this moment in time, Dave did not exist in the physical world. At least, not in the reality that he finds himself born into. We do not know whether or not his existence is simply a cosmic joke, or something that is being played out on purpose. All that we do know, is that one moment, the body was not in the cave, and simply formed in the next. The actual earliest time that we know Dave exists, is the interpolation of the memories of J-209, which we'll begin looking into shortly to gain context towards the coming narrative that is being written and hastily trying to keep itself written. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warning: This story has several things which might turn its readers away. The first is that this story has shifting points of perspective. Don't worry about that previous sentence too much though, as the main character will always have a first person perspective associated with them. However, any other character from which we're viewing the story from will either be in third-person, as we are not necessarily in their shoes at the moment, or in first person, given that the narrator is an actual physical presence within the story. For the most part, chapters will be self-contained with their perspectives, so there will not be an abundance of switching perspectives within the same chapter. The most that an average reader would have to worry about is the fact that perspectives can switch between chapters. The second thing is that the main character is a bit on the 'special' side of things. He's not exactly mentally there most of the time, so there will be some times that his personality or his thoughts do not actively align with his actions. The third, and final thing of importance, is the fact that past the first couple of chapters, nothing has been planned in advance. There are arcs and plots that I want to do, want to implement, or have already been set into motion from our main character's introduction to the world, but the method that I use for my story writing and generating leads towards a bit more random chance being enabled. Basically...there's a lot of dice rolling behind the scenes. To not complicate the story further than its regular LitRPG elements, the rolls will not be publicly available. However, there will be knowledge within the author's notes on whether or not there were positive or negative critical rolls that had occurred within the chapter. You have been warned. Updates: Mondays & Fridays (Schedule permitting) Typical Chapter Length: (2,000-3,000)

Wizards of the Otherworldly Court: End of the Five, Twenty-three, and Twenty-nine Years Story
Alternate titles: - Five, Twenty-Three, Twenty-Nine Years - 5, 23, 29 "Dad? I think I got a really bad fever, why do I still feel fine?" "It feels cold..." Five years ago, Owen became a Court Wizard in search of his father who was lost to the unknown three years prior. But that wasn't the beginning of the story. Maybe it began twenty-three years ago when Ronald Bell and Joshua Ruze saved the Illyer family. Or perhaps, it all started twenty-nine years ago, when Ronald, the son of the wealthiest merchant, became a Court Wizard. Well, it doesn't matter anymore, for the story five, twenty-three, and twenty-nine years ago shall now meet its end. 2nd book written in the Wizards of the Otherworldly series. Read Wizards of the Otherworldly Court: Alicia first. This story is split into two 'Collections,' Ronald's Collection and Owen's Collection, each centering around those Court Wizards. Crossposted with WordPress site, Wattpad, Sufficient Velocity, and Rainobu. Wizards of the Otherworldly Court is a fantasy story about the Otherworldly Court, an inter-dimensional (or world-hopping, you get the idea) organization made up of people of all ages, gender, and race from many parallel or different worlds. They are granted elemental-like magic powers and called themselves 'Court Wizards'. They are tasked to watch over the many worlds they come across and step into these worlds on 'missions' to preserve the balance, life, order, anything to make said worlds better places in the shadows but may reveal themselves if necessary. However, these missions may partially or even fully oppose their nature, personal interests, and ideals. Yet, most of the Court Wizards are aware and willing to complete even the worst missions that would shatter their true selves that they will never cast aside regardless, either growing or regressing because of it. Basically, it's isekai to multiple worlds but each book after Wizards of the Otherworldly Court: Alicia focuses primarily on one world while also discussing its lore in detail. Book Alicia is the introduction containing the essential worldbuilding of the Otherworldly Court universe you need to know while shoving in as many characters and worlds as I can. Also, each book will have a different main character, sometimes more than one in a single book, like Jojo.
