《Monarch of the Darkness》C19. The crystal palace

Deep inside the middle of the city, there stood a huge palace bathing under the moonlight. The palace was made of crystal and it stood grandly, looking different from the surrounding buildings. Moonlight was being reflected by the palace and one could see its reflection from afar.
Currently, the crystal palace was bustling with crowds from all over the area. It was being surrounded by citizens that came to attend the Boundless Night-a big party that was being held every two years in order to commemorate the birth of the Zenith kingdom. Cheers and sounds of various activities could be heard all around the place and it made the atmosphere grow much more livelier than ever.
In front of the palace gate, A white carriage came and stopped near the entry. Hayden came out from inside and looked at the crystal palace in awe. He thought that the crystal palace really looked majestic and elegant.
The exceptional design, along with many beautiful ancient patterns that were being sculptured all over the outer wall made the palace look mesmerizing. Hayden could feel some fantasy feeling lingering inside his heart whenever he looked at this crystallized building. It indirectly made him feel nostalgic.
"Young master. The palace was amazing, right?" Izaia boasted from behind. From his expression, he looked as if he was the one who owned the palace.
Hayden glanced at him and nodded. He also laughed as he looked at his carefree expression, thinking that this guy could really lighten up the mood.
"Izaia, you need to be more respectful to our young Master," grumbled Lexion from behind. This brother of his really doesn't know how to talk politely.
"Eh, I'm actually fine with it," replied Hayden. "You can also do as you wish, it's your own choice Lexion. There's no need to be polite. We are friends, hehe."

Lexion felt touched after he heard Hayden's statement. Deep inside, he also felt grateful that he got the chance to serve such an open-minded Master.
In this era, people who were from a higher hierarchy usually looked down on ordinary people. They thought that they lived in a different world from them, that's what they normally thought. However, Hayden was different. He was ruthless to his enemies, but he acted kindly towards people that were close to him. This kind of treatment had won over them, making them feel more excited to serve him. They just wanted to give their best and showed him their utmost effort.
"Alright, young Master. If that's what you want." Lexion bowed slightly while smiling.
Nevarth watched this from behind and smiled, thinking that Hayden had finally grown up.
As they continued talking about the beauty of the crystal palace, suddenly, someone shouted from behind.
"Brother Hayden!" Fay shouted from afar.
Hayden stopped his conversation and quickly glanced towards her.
"Fay, you…" Hayden was astonished when he saw her appearance. She looked beautiful as her dark blue dress fluttering in the cold wind of the night.
The dress that she wore matched her dark blueish hair, not only that but also the accessories that she wore made her look much more elegant than before. Hayden could also see Fay wearing the butterfly-looking brooch that he had bought before on the left side of her dress. Her beauty really made the scenery around pale in comparison to her.
Behind her, Estelle also dressed elegantly for tonight's party. Her blonde hair that looked like gold combined with her green dress made her look breathtaking like nature itself. Looking at her appearance, people could also mistake her as an Elf because of the similar attire color that the Elf tribe regularly wore.

"Both of you really look enchanting." Hayden complimented them.
"Hehehe." Fay grinned joyfully.
"Thank you, young Master." Estelle also replied while bowing slightly.
Hayden smiled at both of them. Afterward, he made a hand gesture towards Fay. He wanted her to come closer to him.
Fay looked at him skeptically, but after that, she walked straight to him without overthinking. As she got closer to him, her face suddenly reddened. She could feel her brother's warm hand softly caressing her forehead.
"Eh, brother what are you?" Fay blushed in silence.
"It's for your hard work. I know you made a lot of effort for this, am I right?" Hayden smiled.
Fay nodded without saying anything. She just wanted to enjoy the feeling she was in right now. Also, his warm hand made her feel safe and secure. She smiled inside while thinking that all of her effort was definitely worth it.
"Teacher Estelle," called Izaia and Lexion.
"Oh, it's you guys?" Estelle replied shortly.
"Uhh... I just want to say that you look beautiful tonight!" Both of the men shouted in unison. Shortly afterward, they realized this and glanced away while acting shy.
"Oh my," Fay giggled after she heard their statement.
Estelle looked at Izaia and Lexion in a cold manner, not long after she replied, "Do you want me to add more training sessions into your schedule?"
"Eh… Of course no, teacher." Both of them cursed silently. They shivered when they remembered about that damn hellish training. Who would want to have more of that?
The training was dangerous as hell, especially when she made them do sparring fights with her. Estelle was heartless when she attacked. Moreover, her movements and attacks are deadly.
False moves could lead both of them to lose their lives. However, that wasn't the important thing right now…
Izaia and Lexion could only sigh, watching how dense Estelle was.
"It's time. We should go to the palace." Hayden reminded them.
All of them nodded together and after that, they walked relaxingly towards the palace direction.
Estelle walked slowly while looking at Izaia and Lexion from behind. She was feeling a bit confused, no one had ever said that to her before and this made her slightly flustered. She didn't know why, but she felt quite happy when she heard that. Realizing this, she pinched her cheeks and tried to regain her composure back.
"What a bunch of weirdos..." Estelle thought silently.

What would an anime be like from the perspective of a background character? From birth, Reikawa Yuuya has had the ability to see the character arcs of the people around him, a skill passed down through his family. Combined with his extremely low presence, Yuuya is in the perfect position to be an observer in countless stories. The thing is, though, the humans in this city aren’t people. Not to him.And he’s afraid of what they can become.(Disclaimer: This is a psychological drama. Yuuya starts the story off with severe psychological and emotional trauma that only decays as the story proceeds. If you're looking for a witty meta story with a cool power-fantasy MC, this isn't it.)Also on Wordpress at zerovisible.wordpress.com
