I'm just a commoner, the only reason I could think of is because my Mother works as a maid in the imperial palace, but that still doesn't explain why I have been called... sigh I will just wait." He sat down again.

Thank you for the explanation future royal mage, I can't hear his thoughts, so if I want to learn I have to focus more and treat this whole thing as I treat science and math classes.

knock knock knock after the three knocks a voice sounded from behind the big double door.

"Your highness, I am sorry to have kept you waiting, may I enter?" It sounded respectful.

Mr. Royal mage also must've had the same thought because he was startled and whispered 'Your highness?'

"I- I apologise, I think you have the wrong room, I am Walter the son of the maid Janice, I have been called here for an audience with his majesty the king." He stuttered.

"You have not been informed of why you were called to the royal palace, I am here to inform you, your highness, so may I enter?" The resounded.

"I am sorry it was rude of me to keep you outside, you may enter!" He said.

In entered what looked like a butler, however his clothes looked like an old style of what a butler wore in the stories I've seen.

I just remembered, this was a long time ago, so what if the knowledge I get is out-dated? Well it's too late to back out.

The butler did a little bow and said "My lord, you have been called for an audience with the king because you are the illegitimate child of the king, originally, your existence was hidden so you can live a fulfilled life and to avoid power struggles between you and the crown prince, but, as you most likely know, the royal family excels at magic because of their ancestors, but due to the crown prince Having no magic talent at all, and you having extreme talent in magic, the court has decided to give you the chance to prove yourself, you are going to practice magic and make heirs for the crown prince, this is the grace of his majesty so you should be thankful, he has kept you safe all this time, so you should return the favour, your name shall be Maximilian III Maximilian II Aramisa, I'll give you some minutes to sort out the information before we go meet the king."

Grace my a**! They are gaslighting Mr. Imperial Mage Walter, tch tch tch, they obviously are manipulating him to be a shadow for the crown prince.

I continued to watch Walter being manipulated for the next few hours in agony.

I came here to learn magic not watch a drama! The crown prince's name is also Maximilian the third and what is up with these names? they are weird, do they have no naming sense? Do they love the name Maximilian so much? They plan to bury Walter completely huh? Wait why do I care? Sylvar why did you leave these unnecessary memories in?

Finally, after a lot of days of being manipulated into being the shadow of the crown prince - it was only a couple hours for me- it was time to learn about magic!

"Next, the wind attribute, it is strong offensively however weak defensively, it isn't easy to control, because while other attributes manipulate materialized thing like a piece of rock or some water, wind controls air, which is a gas not liquid nor solid, you don't have it, it is considered the most inferior of the four basic attributes, it is good for supporting another attribute, air mana is light gray, it has one known advanced form, the sound attribute, it is a very weak attribute, it is hard to control and you can hardly use it in a battle, the only useful known thing about it is enhancing your hearing, it is considered the weakest attribute."

these people are really uncreative, the sound attribute is really useful! Just enhancing your sense of hearing is really good, but I already can think of many ways to ustilize it, shock waves, communicating and even recording a voice, I have thought of this the moment I knew you could use magic stones to store mana in them and make the magic stones do certain things.

"These were the four main attributes and their advanced forms, let's move on to the unique attributes, as the name suggests they are attributes rarely found in any human, some races have these attributes as a common thing, for example a lot of Forest Elves have the wood attribute, and Dark Elves have the darkness attribute, however us humans rarely have these, like you and me, who have the light attribute, there are many unique attributes, most are useless, but the four famous unique attributes are; one; darkness, it's mana is black, it is specialized for using curses and materializing a dark substance used for both defense and offense, it is an aggressive attributes, two; light, it's mana is white, it is used to purify curses and heal wound and recover missing limbs, it is also strong against demons, it is the attribute closest to the holy attribute the saint has, three; the wood attribute, it's mana is green, it is used for growing plants extremely fastly, some people debated weather it is an advanced form of earth but because you can have it without needing to have the earth attribute it was settled that it is a unique attribute, four; the space attribute, it's mana is said to be dark purple, another mysterious attribute, it's very rare, more rare than the other three, it's effects aren't fully known, people who have it can store items with space mana and take them out at any time, they can store as much as 10 carriages atleast, which makes space attribute users very precious."

It felt weird when I saw the events in the dream, it wasn't like I was learning something new, but remembering it, all this information fit into my head slowly and after Walter memorized the lesson it was etched into my mind.

I'm not putting in any effort, but I am benefiting, ha! That's actually very convenient.

Days passed for Walter and he started to practice magic more, I couldn't understand his thoughs or feelings but I could feel with his five senses, I could see how he meditates and how he uses spells.

"every race uses magic differently, however our topic today is about humans, we humans have a stone in our head just like demonic beasts, but the difference is that the human 'gem core' as we call it, is much more potent and doesn't make it's host lose reason or become enraged, it also allows humans to use magic, we store mana in our gem cores and the stored mana can be manipulated by us, we can't influence ambient mana like Elves, we can't ingest mana like dwarves nor are we made of mana like spirits, the gem core is why we can use magic, every gem core can store different amounts of mana for each human, the more talented the person is the bigger the amount of stored mana, a bigger amount of stored mana means a potent magic stone, a potent magic stone means stronger stored mana manipulation, which means more efficient and powerful spell use."

The past few days have been just for theories around magic and magic incantations I can't use, even Walter doesn't use them because he can cast magic without them, so this lesson is actually useful for me.

Other stuff I learned were that Walter has Blonde hair and blue eyes, the royal family's key features, he was also very good looking, typical... and that the human kingdom's name is Aramisa it was like a ship name for the ancestors of the royal family; Aramis and Aramia, overall this was useful for me, I learned more about magic and the human kingdom.

... Everything seems very cliché, like I really am in a novel world, and I seem to remember something similar to the magic in this world and the name Aramisa is familiar, but I can't recall it, like it's at the tip of my tongue, it is frustrating.

I spent the next few weeks before the end of spring as Walter practicing fire and light magic mostly and after that came the meeting with the king so Walter can show his progress with magic.

"I am very satisfied, you may continue to be useful for the kingdom as the crown prince's aide, you will be granted the title of royal mage, and you may only use that title to go out publicly, your name must be a secret only between us alright my lovely son?"

Bullsh*t! I really hate this pile of flesh and bones called Maximilian II infornt of me.

He only calls Walter son when he's asking something of him.

"Yes I understand father!"

After that the world around me started to collapse and shatter.

is this the end of the memories? Good, because I can't take it anymore with the people around Walter...

And then everything was black once again.
