《Broken》chapter 6.3 Aurora

"Crap I'm blind" Said Lucius. He stood up and covered his eyes. "Yep, I'm blind. Anyway I should be able to see in a few minutes"
She didn't know whether to be happy or not. But that also meant she only had a few minutes to get dressed.
"What happened anyway. I don't remember what happened" Said Lucius.
"You passed out" Said Aurora in a nervous tone.
"Do you mind walking me to my clothing" Side Lucius.
"Yeah" Said Aurora.
She walked him over and found he had two shirts.
He can't see me right now... he won't notice if I take one of his shirts right?
She put it on and noticed it was extremely soft and comfortable.
"I can see shapes now. Do you mind helping me put my shirt on?" Said Lucius.
"Sure" Said Aurora.
She picked up his shirt and helped his arms through. He seemed confused and turned red.
"Your shirt is kinda see through" Said Lucius.
What does he mean-agh!
She covered herself with a large leaf.
"Why were you looking there?"
"Because you had my shirt on" Said Lucius.
Aurora smiled knowing he was not like the others. She knew he was different.
"Why are you so different?" Said Aurora.
"That's depending on what you mean" Said Lucius.
"You're not like other guys. You don't care about what people look like just who they are" Said Aurora.
"That's because I don't care about people. I don't care about people as a whole not just their appearances. It's a matter of relevance" Said Lucius.
"Do you care about me?" Said Aurora leaning in.
"Don't do that" Said Lucius.
"Do what?" Said Aurora.
"That, that thing!" Said Lucius with a slight raised voice.
"What is that thing?" Said Aurora.
"You know what it is don't play dumb" Said Lucius.
"I really don't" Said Aurora began to pout.
"Stop that you're doing it right now" Said Lucius.
She squished her cheeks and said "I'm confused".
"Stop being cute it's annoying" Said Lucius.
"You think I'm cute?"She watched him mutter for a long while and turn away for her.
"We should keep moving" Said Lucius.
"By the way why didn't you tell me people lived here one of them stole my shirt and stuff".
"Someone stole your clothing?" Asked Lucius.

What if they stole mine?
"Yeah, that's kinda why I have your shirt on" Said Aurora.
"Well that's new".
He picked up his gear and began to walk. She walked beside him but he looked in the other direction. They walked day in and day out.
After what seemed like two months of walking Aurora had begun to outpace Lucius. She felt like she was getting stronger with every passing day. He upgraded his weapons every time the night fell. She felt like they were growing closer together. He would talk to her like any normal person would. He was still rather cold-hearted but she didn't mind.
As they walked through the thick underbrush of the trees he pushed her into a dark hole. Before she knew it several masked beings had surrounded him. She stayed silent only because he signaled her to. They began to scream something at him and he lifted his hands.
"Aurora! Cover your ears!" Yelled Lucius with a booming voice.
If she doesn't cover her ears I could hurt her maybe even kill her… I have to have fate that she will trust me...
She did and held her hands over her ears as well as she could. She waited and waited but nothing happened. She felt a hand on her shoulder and screamed. She felt a hand remove her one hands for her ears.
"It's over, we're safe" Said Lucius.
She looked outside of the darkness and saw the massive group of people on the ground. Blood was dripping from their mouths and they had red eyes.
"If I did it right they should be fine in a few hours" Said Lucius.
He began to take some of their weapons. Aurora looked at their nearly blood red eyes. She didn't know why but they were beautiful. They were like a far less frightening version of Lucius's eyes.
"What did you do to them" Said Aurora.
"I showed them what pain really is" Said Lucius.
He grabbed her hand and they continued to walk. They walked until he could walk more more.
"I can help you with your stuff you know" Said Aurora.
She wanted to ask what he had done, what he had really done but it seemed useless.
"Lucius I know this is an odd time to ask who you like but who do you like?" Said Aurora.

They had nearly died, and that motivated her to ask.
"My family" Said Lucius.
"No I mean who do you like in a more, you know, different way"
"Havana-" She felt her heart break and felt like hope was lost."-is like a sister to me".
She felt silly for thinking any different.
"I mean who would you like to kiss on the lips" Said Aurora.
"I can't tell you" He replied.
"Who can you tell?" Said Aurora.
"Only Athena can know"
"Can you tell me what she looks like?"
"She has hazel brown eyes, her hair is a golden brown. Her hair is wavy and has streaks of lighter blonder hair. She has a smile that could brighten my day not matter how dark it had been".
That's almost...? No, it can't be, I wonder who it really is.
"If I guess her name will you tell me?" Said Aurora.
"No"
They continued to walk once they had rested for an hour. They reached the main river. It looked like a ocean but she was just able to see the other side.
"Well, let's build a home here" Said Lucius.
"What?" Said Aurora.
"That is going to take at least six months to be small enough for us to cross" Said Lucius.
"Why don't we just build boat?" Said Aurora.
"Big fish" He replied
What? that's not a whole lot of information…
"What do you mean?"
"I mean that there are fish big enough to eat us as a whole. With teeth" Lucius added the last part as if it was an afterthought.
She looked at the vast river and sighed. Lucius had already begun to build a home.
"Do you need help?" Said Aurora.
"You can collect some dry leafs for a fire" Said Lucius.
In a week's time he had build a home with a water system and electricity.
"When did you make a charger?" Asked Aurora.
"Yesterday, you can read or watch movies of something" Said Lucius as he carved something.
"Thanks, and what are you making!?"
"I am upgrading the dynamo" Said Lucius.
He had created a armory and several other so called necessary things. He had a fully functional automated utilities factory. The interchangeable parts allow him to make almost anything.
"Why do we need so many weapons?" Asked Aurora.
"It's not for us" Said Lucius.
"Who is it for then?" Said Aurora.
"The people who live here" He replied.
"Oh".
He spent most of the time farming and growing different plants that tasted very good. The fish in the river were also very flavor full. Everywhere she looked fish flooded the river. Lucius had made her a place to wash off.
"It looks nice" Said Aurora holding the ankle bracelet she had made for Lucius.
She had taken some of the scrap metal from Lucius's weapons and made it. She had paid a price for doing so. She had burned her right hand and was unable to use it for a week.
"I hope he likes it" Said Aurora.
She placed it back in the box and covered it. Lucius had made a sewing machine and Aurora had been given new clothes. As she walked away and heard something. She looked back to see a person grab the box and run.
"What the?!"
Wait, that's for Lucius!
She had worked too hard on his present just for some stupid masked man to take it. She picked up a stick and tossed it at the person. She hit the person and they fell. She ran over and jumped on top of the person and punched through her mask. She didn't know she had gotten strong. She began to wrestle with the person and they pulled at each others hair.
"Give it back!" yelled Aurora.
The person yelled something she could not understand. Aurora lifted the person and slammed them against a tree. Aurora felt rage. She wanted to make Lucius happy and this person would not stand in her way. Aurora punched the person in the face shattering the mask. She could see her face. One eye was already beginning to swell. Blood ran down her tan skin and her red eyes looked into hers.
"Aurora" Lucius was running towards her.
She felt fear shot through her. She knew if he was risking running something was wrong. He reached out towards her and he seemed like he was going to say something. An arrow shot through his arm and leg. He hit the ground and skid a short distance.
They did not just do that!
