《Broken》chapter 2.1 Aurora

"I think he's nice" Scarlet ate another chip with dip.
"I think so to, so I don't get why everyone is hating on him" Aurora was tapping her lip with her mechanical pencil.
They were sitting in Aurora's house attempting to finish their homework.
"I kinda want to feel him up" Hex had a wink hidden behind her sunglasses.
They laughed and half-assed their homework. And ate everything they could find.
"His sister Morrie is nice, I didn’t even know she had a brother." Scarlet twirled a pencil between her fingers.
"Yeah she is but she makes me sleepy just by looking at her" Aurora yawned and rested her head on Scarlet.
"She is so pretty though, like have you seen her without her hoodie-sweater thing and those hobo sweatpants. Last semester during swimming she would have put Allison to shame" Scarlet shifted slightly but stopped to keep Aurora from falling off.
"I think she looked hot," Hex had a beautiful smile "but that's a perk of being blind, everyone looks good"
"His girlfriend almost beat the life out of Nero" Aurora lifted her head off Scarlets shoulder.
"He is a horrible person, I think he deserved it" Scarlet crossed her arms as she spoke.
"Have you seen Lucius's eyes" Aurora sat up and looked at Scarlet.
"They are so cool” Hex dazzled the air with jazz hands.
They giggled and walked to the kitchen for more snacks.
"Want some snacks to take home?" Aurora gave the bag to Scarlet before she could say no.
"That would be great" Smiled Scarlet bag in hand.
"Get home safe" Said Aurora and Hex standing just behind the door.
Scarlett placed the snacks in her backpack and hugged Aurora and Hex.
“Bye girls,” Scarlet blew them both a kiss “Love you guys”
"Just asking is, his girlfriend really that pretty?" Asked Hex.
"She looks as pretty as she sounds and has the strength of an ox. To be completely honest I'm kinda wondering why she likes him so much. I want to find out." Aurora was looking at the food she would eat next.

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Asked Hex.
"Detective time" Aurora tossed on her plaid hat.
They walked to the library. They knew Morrie was always there in her long sleeve sweater. The sleeves were too long for her. Her hands would just barely pop out when she reached out. She would stuff everything into her sweats pockets. It was likely that she had ever known object within the horde that were her pockets.
"Do you see her?" Hex was dragging her cane around the floor.
"Yeah they are sitting right next to each other. They're reading and he has that funny looking book" Aurora squinted her eyes hoping she would magically be granted supervision.
"What are they doing?" Hex began using her cane as an armrest.
"Wait he's getting up" Aurora grabbed Hex and pulled her behind cover.
Aurora watched as he waved goodbye and walked out. They followed him and he stopped at a casino. He spent about half an hour in there. During that time they postulated and gossiped to one another. Eventually he walked out with gambling chip in hand. They followed him to a bank and Aurora could just barely see him deposit five hundred thousand Marks. He was definitely not a normal kid. They followed him into a dark alley.
Why are they following me? They aren't going to beat me up are they? That's just my luck. Well might as well get it over with. Hopefully I don't get stabbed like last time.
Aurora walked into the dark and froze. Her body was overwhelmed by fear.
Those animal eyes hunted down and killed whatever bravery she just had. The crimson red of these eyes should only belong to wild beasts void of all emotion. The complete lack of humanity and life in those eyes made her feel like they were taking her life just by being seen by them.
"Aurora?" Hex had fear in her voice.
Hex felt a chill in the air and wondered what was going on.
"Why are you following me just wondering. I hope I'm not being mean or anything but I hope you can tell me." Said Lucius.

"My sister asked me to check on you" Aurora attempted to make a convincing lie.
He knew this was a lie but let it pass.
"Tell her I say thank you, but be careful it's dangerous out here" Said Lucius vanishing into the dark.
"We should have followed his sister. Or we can just ask her" Hex was holding tightly to Aurora's shirt.
"Yeah let's do that"
"Is Sam still on his trip?" Hex tugged lightly at Aurora's shirt.
"Yep and my sister's in town so that's cool"
They walked back just in time. Morrie was just packing her things. She walked out and locked the library.
"She has the keys to the library?" Aurora narrowed her eyes as she asked herself why.
They walked and soon found themselves in the very wealthy part of town. Massive houses with million dollar sport cars and guarded to the teeth. Every single house had armed guards. At the far end was a massive house that looked like a castle. It had armed guards around the house like ants.
Morrie walked right passed every guard as they stopped and bowed to her. They had no idea she was filthy rich. They thought she was poor because she always had the same clothing. That meant Lucius was also very wealthy.
"Morrie is rich?"
"How do you know that?" Hex had her hand on Aurora's hat.
"She just walked into a mansion"
"Oh, well do you mind dropping me off at my house"
"Let's go" Aurora started walking off.
They walked to the middle class part of town. Hex felt someone grab her and pull her in a random direction.
"I see Lucius" Aurora looked him over from behind a tree.
She could see Lucius at the door of a large house. The door opened and there stood Athena. She picked him up and held him. They walked in and shut the door.
"I think Lucius and Athena are sleeping together"
"Why!?" Yelled Hex.
"He just walked into her house"
"They could just be hanging out…”
"Anyway let's get to your house" Aurora made sure Hex didn't trip over anything.
Her mind lingered on the idea. Hex walked to her front door and waved goodbye. Aurora walked home and ate a bag of chips. When she was done she washed her teeth and went to sleep.
The next morning she rolled around in bed and looked at her clock. She was going to be late. She stood up slowly and walked to her dresser. She picked her backpack up and walked to school half asleep. She flopped into to her classroom and got her homework out. It was Scarlet's day to walk Hex to school.
"Hey Aurora, so have you thought about it" Kip leaned in over his desk.
"Sorry Kip I just don't think I'm ready to have a boyfriend" Aurora looked up slightly from her desk.
She was lying of course but didn't want to hurt Kip's feelings. She patted down her long blue dress and made certain her blue bow was in the perfect place. Her light pink lipstick matched her lips but she wore it anyway.
"Just tell me when you think you're ready because I'm available" Kip winked.
She spent most of her class working on drawings of his eyes in her sketchbook. She didn't know why but she felt they were something special.
Class ended and she walked off to lunch. She found Hex and Scarlet. Hex was sharing her food with Scarlet.
Aurora sat down "What do you guys want to do today?"
"Go bird watching" Hex leaned back slightly.
"No, really" Aurora smiled.
"How about we invite Athena and Lucius to the movies?" Scarlet suggested.
"Yeah that's a good idea" Aurora chirped.
"I'm going to rub my hands all over her face" Hex felt herself up as she smiled.
"I bet you are" Scarlet winked.
"That's very odd" Said Lucius.

“Venture into your mind and into a new world, one where there is Magic. Magic that is nascent and unexplained, one where you can be the one to Discover it, by delving dark dungeons or examining magical Beasts, by studying ancient scrolls or by finding lost gods, your Imagination is the only limit.” This is what Mike thought he was getting into when he lay down to play a new VR game, but fate had another thing in store for him, he was whisked away to a new world in another Dimension, with an AI fused to his body that refuses to let him treat this world as a game, all the while trying to make it as much like a game as it can. The only Objective he is given is to Discover Magic as he learns to survive and live in this new world, doing the best he can to not die, or even worse. *** Hi All! This is my story, it has been brewing in my mind in various forms for years. It will be rough, this is the first story I have written in a long time, so please help me make it as great as it can be! It is a High Fantasy adventure/Isekai LitRpg, it will have action and adventure, levels and dungeons, Elves, Dwarves and Gods. It is not a Virtual Reality story, though it will touch on some topics of artificial intelligence. The core focus of the story is going to be the discovery and deep delve in the magic system and fantastical elements of the world. Mana is used so often in LitRPG's but how often is it explained what mana is, magic is used in fantasy, but how often do you understand what it feels like. Magical races like Elves, Dwarves etc. often exist in stories, but why do they exist? and what truly makes them different from Humans and from each other? What is a God and where did they come from? These are the sort of topics that I want to really dive into in this series, all through the lens of a progression focused LitRPG. Thanks for reading!
