Chapter 27: Lunchtime Surprise

(Setting: Crystal Kingdom: High University- Cafeteria)

(Scene: Baku appears in the cafeteria)

*Baku appears in the crowded cafeteria looking for a place to sit. But all of the tables were filled by students of different cliques. The athletic jocks were showing off their manliness by impressing naive female students in arm wrestling contest and comparing their overall stats for sports throughout the schoolyear.

*The couples sat together all lovingly like they were dating in an actual restaurant, it made Baku feel nauseous watching them all make out in one place. Even the spots where the geeks sat were all taken as they meticulously shared notes and studied together.

[Baku Cree]: *Thinking to himself* Geez, there's nowhere to sit since Barrtio and Finn aren't here today… *Sigh* Where the heck are those guys? Probably watching the freakin' Stardust Queen movie... Jerks, I wanted to watch it too...

*Suddenly, amongst the endless chatter and commotion of the students, Baku hears someone call him from across the lunch room where the preppy and popular kids sat.

[Mitsune Akamiko]: *Waving* Baaakuuu! Come sit over here with the popular kids!

*All of the students in the cafeteria become silent, locking their attention onto Baku who is genuinely surprised and nervously makes his way to the table full of royals. Baku can see Lady Akamiko along with Yuri, Hally, and the princess all sitting together. However, all the seats are taken by other popular and otherwise royal female students.

[Groupee Girl]: *Snobby* Why the hell is he sitting over here!? He's not rich or popular!?

[Mitsune Akamiko]: *Shouting* WHAT THE HELL DID YOU JUST SAY!?

[Baku Cree]: *Thinking to himself* *Surprised* Whoa. Holy shit...

[Mitsune Akamiko]: You dumb whore, get your head outta your pretentious ass! Baku is the freakin' World Guardian, which makes him automatically royalty and a hundred times more popular than you!

[Groupee Girl]: Wh-what!?

[Baku Cree]: I-it's fine, Lady Akamiko. I could sit somewhere else, seriously...

[Mitsune Akamiko]: No, don't you go anywhere, Baku... But you, Lindine, are going to apologize to the World Guardian, and then you're gonna get up, take your shitty wig and take a hike!

[Groupee Girl]: *Shocked* M-Milady!?

[Mitsune Akamiko]: *Still Shouting* I SAID APOLOGIZE!

[Groupee Girl]: S-sor-- ...

[Mitsune Akamiko]: *Now screaming* WHY ARE YOU STUTTERING!?

[Groupee Girl]: I-I'm try-- ...

[Mitsune Akamiko]: *Annoyed* You know what, fuck it, fuck you, forget about it. Goodbye!

*The girl, with her jaw dropped, depressedly leaves the table and Baku silently takes her seat, utterly frightened by how cutthroat the blonde popular royal can be and the girls begin a new conversation.

[Female Student]: What in the world was Lindine thinking doing that to her hair today? It was so atrocious...

[Rich Girl]: Really, what was she trying to accomplish doing that to herself? Her whole fashion has been out of style for a month, I think she was just trying to get attention by being different...

[Senior Class Woman]: Have you girls gotten asked to the dance yet? All the best boys are starting to dwindle in numbers. If you freshies don't act quickly, you'll all be left alone. If you want my advice, the guys in the senior class tend to date younger class girls due to desperation, because all of the upper class chicks are tired of their shit.

[Upper Class Woman]: *Ugh* I hope Mark ask me out, he's so cute! But I have to find a way to get his attention from that bitch, Stacey!

[Female Student]: Tony looks so hot in his sports jacket, just imagine what it’ll be like dating a big, strong and handsome jock! Instant popularity is every girls fantasy!

[Rich Girl]: So Lady Akamiko, has Mikodo ask you out yet?

[Mitsune Akamiko]: *Proudly* Yep! It's official, Mikodo Danzer asked me to the Winter Homecoming Dance! I told you guys, bad boys are easy to fix... You just have to be beautiful and smart, like me! *Smuggly* You just might have trouble doing it, like me...

[Female Groupies]: *Excited* Eeeek!! Lady Akamiko’s, so cool!

[Baku Cree]: *Thinking to himself* I feel so bad for you… You’re so hot, but you’re wasting your talent on an idiot...

[Popular Girl]: How about you, Princess Savannah, have any cute boys asked you to the dance yet?

[Princess Savannah]: Hm? Well, not anybody I myself would consider… Everybody here is so desperate and wierd...

[Mitsune Akamiko]: *Mockingly* Aww, that's too bad... Better luck next year, Miss Cow Utters! Maybe then you can kidnap a freshman if you're desperate enough!

[Princess Savannah]: *Ugh* Okay, that's it! I know who I want to go to the dance with! I'm going with Baku! How do you like that!?

*Baku spits out his soda.

[Baku Cree]: *Surprised* Wh-what!?

[Mitsune Akamiko]: You dumb idiot, you can't go to the dance with your little brother! That's weird.

[Princess Savannah]: I don't care! I can do whatever I want because I'm the Princess!

[Mitsune Akamiko]: You’re conducting an incestual relationship, you gross slut!

[Princess Savannah]: It's only gross if you make it gross!

[Mitsune Akamiko]: That doesn't make any sense!

[Halenday Medellon]: *Smiling* Congratulations, you two!

[Female Groupies]: *Excited* Wow! What a lucky guy!

[Ayurielli Yamabushi]: ......

[Baku Cree]: *Thinking to himself* I guess I don't get a say in this... Not that it makes a difference to me… This is okay, right!? I’m freakin’ confused...

*The bell rings and releases the students from lunch and the crew later appears outside at the gym track.
