"G-girlfriend?" I stuttered. Did I hear that right?
"I'm sorry! This is really random and probably not a good ti-" His words fell from his mouth rapidly but I could just make out what he was saying and had time to cover his mouth.
"Yes Natsu." I said softly. "Of course I will be your girlfriend"
My heart tingled from the word. I was his girlfriend. Natsu Dragneels girlfriend.
"Really?" He asked, shocked. I nodded and removed my hand.
His face lit up and he lept on top of me.
"This is the best news ever" He said as he wrapped his long arms around me.
"Please promise me something Natsu." I said quietly.
He looked up at me and nodded for me to tell him.
"Please..." I said nervously. "Don't break my heart..."
He looked at me for. A few seconds before smiling, hugging me tighter and turning his head to place a kiss on my cheek.
"Why would I ever do that?" He places his head on my shoulder. "You're the best thing that's ever happened to me"
-
"Pass me the damn salt woman!" Yelled Gray towards me at the other end of the table. It was his third time asking but I thought I'd annoy him for a little longer.
It was Monday afternoon, lunch break. The group were all sat around long table in the centre of the cafeteria.
Gray angrily stood up from his seat and marched over to my end of the table. I quickly grabbed the salt and started pretending I was putting it on my salad, a smirk plastered on my face. He rapidly snatched it from my hand and started to march back to his seat.
"Hey I was using that!" I teased, everyone around me holding in laughter. Gray sat down again, mumbling profanties under his breath.
I felt Natsu, who was sat beside me, slowly interlock his hand with mine beneath the table. As of yesterday we were dating, however we had decided to to keep it a secret from the others until we picked up a bit. I blushed and looked down at my food from his gesture, a smile tucked away on my face.
"What' you smiling at Lucy?" Said Juvia with a cheeky grin. Everyones attention was suddenly directed towards me. I sweat dropped before pulling my hand from Natsu's and tucking a piece of hair behind my ear.
"U-uh nothing!" My words splattered out messily. "This food is just... uhm... really great. Yeh!"
Natsu facepalmed next to me. Everyone looked at eachother before bursting into laughter.
"You're a weird one." Said Gajeel before inhaling his burger in one bite. And I'm the weird one you say?
Eventually lunch came to and end, everyone started parting their ways to go to class. Before Natsu could leave I quickly pulled him to the side.
Natsu's POV:
"Hey Natsu can I talk to you for a minute?" Asked Lucy as she gently grabbed my arm and pulled me to the side of the hallway whilst we filled through the corridoors.
She started talking but I got lost in her beautiful, brown eyes. The way they glistened and held so much meaning. Her perfect complextion and beauty shocked me everytime I looked at her.
"-So do you wanna come?" She finished, waiting for an answer. I snapped out of my daze.
"Oh sorry, I uh got distracted... say again?" I said awkwardly. Damn her beauty.
A cute giggle escaped her lips before she shook her head and looked down with a smile.

"Oh Natsu" she laughed. She looked up again and locked her eyes with mine. "I was going go visit my auntie and uncle this weekend and I wanted to know if you'd like to come with me?" She asked sweetly.
"I'd love to Luce." I beamed, a smile spread across my face.
"Great! We'll leave Saturday morning." She replied, voice laced with excitement. "Anyway, I've got to get to class, see you later!"
Lucy leant towards me on her tip-toes and gave me a quick peck on the cheek before running off to lesson - By now, the hallways had cleared and no one was around. I lifted my hand to my cheek and cupped the area she kissed whilst I watched her exit the building. Thats the first time she has ever kissed me.
With that through, I hurried out of the building to get to lesson. I entered building D - the science block, and found my classroom. I took a deep breath before slowly opening the door and walking in.
"Natsu you are late!" Disaplined the teacher. It was Mr. Happy. He always seemed to hate me.
"Sorry sir" I said quietly before scrambling to my seat. I got the usuall winks and smirk from girls as I passed but I just ignored them. I sat in a free chair at a desk in the corner of the room and got out a pen.
"Okay class. Today we are going to be doing a practical." Mr Happy said. The class cheered. "We're going to be disecting a fish!" The teacher beamed. No one understood his weird obsession with fish but we never pushed on it. "The person sat next to you will be your lab partner this lesson"
I looked to my right to see who was my partner. A small girl with long, blue hair sat, facing the window so I couldn't see her face.
"Hey, I'm Natsu." I said, trying to get her attention.
She turned around only to be shocked that there was someone sat next to her. Suddenly her facial expression changed to an even more shocked face, along with mine.
"Wendy?!" I gawked. I couldn't believe my eyes.
"Oh my gosh Natsu! I didn't even know you go here! It's been so long!" She said smiling brightly. She lept onto me, giving me a warm, tight embrace.
"It has!" I replied, still shocked that she was really here.
Wendy was like my little sister. She lived with me and my father for a long time until I eventually left for college.
"What are you doing here? Aren't you a bit young?" I laughed. The rest of the class had started the practical, whereas me and Wendy just sat talking.
"Well I managed to get in a year early, so I enrolled." She explained.
"Wow... I can't believe it's really you!" I spoke.
Mr. Happy circled the classroom, eventually making his way to our desk.
"You kids are not going to learn by just sitting down and doing nothing! Get to work now!" He shouted, before walking back to his own desk.
Me and Wendy laughed. She grabbed a knife and poked the fish with it. It's thick, scaly skin dipping beneath the blade.
"I really don't get this guys fish obsession... seriously" I mumbled beneath my breath as she carried on lightly, prodding the fish.
"So how's Igneel?" Wendy asked, trying to start conversation again whilst looking down at the animal.
My heart skipped a beat at her words. She didn't know.

"Uhm. Dad... well he..." I didn't know what to say. It would break her heart if she knew, and I didn't really want to talk about it.
"Is something wrong?" She asked, looking into my eyes worriedly.
"Dad went missing." I said. My breathing started to become shakey as I recollected my thoughts. As I left for college, Wendy left too to live with her mother Grandiney who had gotten home from a 5 year work project. We grew very close in those five years, like actual family.
Her worried face stared at me, wanting - no, needing to know more.
"One day I got a call from a neighbour saying that the house had been broken into and had been trashed on the outside for a few days. She called because she thought it was unsual that nothing was done about it." I took in a deep breath. "I called my dad mutiple times but the phone just rang through - so I called the police, they said no one was in the house. Soon enough, Igneel was officially stated as a missing person... But they never found him."
Tears rimmed Wendy's eyes as she covered her mouth with her hand.
"I c-can't believe it" She cried. "H-he's gone? Just like that? How long has it been? Do you think he is okay? What if he was kidnapped? Or maybe... maybe it's worse, maybe he's d-" She stopped herself from saying the word I dreaded most. The word I didn't want to believe to be Igneels state. I would never know.
I took another deep breath, not wanting to get too upset in the middle of class.
"It's okay Wendy. We'll find him eventually. It's been a year but I'm sure he's fine." I lied with the last line. Not really believing myself.
She nodded before wiping her eyes with her sleeve. This is not how I wanted it to go when I next saw Wendy. I gave her a quick hug before the bell chorused throught the classroom.
We both got up from our seats and started filling out of the room, along with all the other students.
"Where are you staying?" I asked, trying to change the mood.
"I have a room in the dorms. I think it's the 5 floor or something. My roomates called Romeo." She said as we turned out of the doorway and headed to the services block. Neither of us had a lesson next.
"Hey thats cool. My room mates called Lucy" I told her. "You'll have to meet her."
We entered the building. I told Wendy that I was meeting Lucy at the library and she decided to join. We sauntered towards the place, catching up on various things as we went. Eventually we made it to the familiar blue door of the library. I quietley opened the door, Wendy following behind me.
"Natsu!" Called Luce, who was sat behind the counter at the front of the room along with Levy.
"Hey ba- uh Lucy!" I stumbled, I threw on a grin and waved, before walking over to the pair and dragging Wendy with me.
"Lucy, Levy, this is Wendy." I introduced. "Wendy, this is Lucy and this is Levy." I gestured with my hands to each person as I spoke their names. They exchanged 'hi's" and 'hello's', everyone smiling.
"Wendy lived with me and my dad for 5 years whilst her mother was away." I explained, Wendy nodding along.
"Wow so you too are like brother and sister then?" Chimed Levy, who was sorting our some books behind the counter.
"You bet!" Said Wendy as she playfuly punched Natsu's shoulder.
"Ey, watch it!" I punched her back. We carried on play fighting for a few minutes. Lucy watched and smiled, her cheeks heating up. I made eye contact with her and she looked away quickly. A blush evident on her cheeks. I smiled and went back to messing with Wendy.
-
After around half an hour of chilling in the library with Wendy - Lucy and Levy had finished their shift.
"Do you guys want to come back to mine and Natsu's dorm for a bit?" Asked Lucy to Levy and Wendy.
"That sounds really nice!" Excaimed Wendy politely. Lucy giggled and lead the way. Eventually we were at the dorm. Lucy had made tea for everyone as we sat around the coffee table in the lounging room.
"So what brought you to Fairy Tail Wendy?" Asked Levy curiously as she sipped on her tea.
Wendy put her mug down before answering.
"I've heard a lot about it and I thought it would be a great idea to study here." She explained excitedly.
We all talked about what we were studying and what we wanted to be when we were older. I watched as Lucy and Wendy bonded, a smile spreading across my face. I was happy to see them happy.
Soon the day came to a close, Wendy left for her dorm along with Levy. We waved them off as they left our dorm.
"Bye!" Called Lucy as she poked her head around the doorway, watching Wendy walk down the corridor towards the elevator. Wendy turned around giving a quick wave before pressing the button and entering.
"She's really nice." Lucy chimed, turning to look at me as I closed the door. I smiled.
"I'm happy you like her Luce!" I cheered, throwing on another grin. I looked into her beautiful eyes, before tucking a piece of her golden hair behind her ear.
I wrapped my arms around her giving her a tight hug. I nuzzled into her neck, leaving a trail of kisses towards her mouth. I grazed her soft lips against mine before pressing them together fully. Her back made contact with the wall as she stepped backwards, tangling her fingers in my hair.
"Natsu" she spoke, my lips still against hers. I pulled away and looked at her, studying her face.
"What's up Luce?" I asked, worried I had done something wrong.
Her face turned into a smirk as she swiftly grabbed my waist and pulled it against hers. She smashed her lips onto mine and wrapped an arm around my back, the other in my hair. She pushed me into the lounge, making me fall backwards onto the couch. This was a side of Lucy that I hadn't yet seen - and I liked it.
She was straddling my hips whilst kissing me expertly. She slid her tongue against my bottom lip, asking for entrance which I immediately granted. Her tongue slipped in and explored my whole mouth. She pulled and way to breath, looking into my eyes lovingly.
"Luce..." I spoke quietley. She covered my lips with her finger and kissed the spot between my eyebrows. Her finger traced my jawline as she continued to stare into my eyes. She was beautiful
Lucy POV:
I looked deeply into his onyx eyes as I sat, straddling his waist.
I think... I think I love him.
