Claire's POV:
I opened my eyes and a bright light hit on my eyes that I had to close them again. My head hurt like a hell still and I didn't have any idea where I was. I whimpered lowly and soon I heard how someone ran in the room and called my name.
"Claire? Are you awake? Hey, guys. She's awake!" I recognized after a few seconds sounding that it was Alexandra. I opened my eyes slowly and asked her turn the light off. "Of course" she nodded and did like I told. "How are you feeling? Is there any pain?" she asked worrying.
After few minutes, I noticed how my grandma, Harry and his wife Sarah walked in the room. "Oh my gosh, sweetheart. What has he done to you?" grandma rushed to hug me. I whimpered quietly which made her loosen her grip.
"I'm sorry" she apologized and kneeled side of my bed. "I came here right away when Alexandra called me" she mumbled and caressed my cheek which made me smile a bit. It has been a while since I had seen her last time. "How are you feeling?" she asked and I sighed deeply. "Tired" I mumbled and closed my eyes for few seconds.
"I understand, maybe we should go and let you sleep a bit. I'm just so glad that you're back. We were so worried" she whispered and kissed my cheek. "I would thank ever enough Rachel and Donna of that they heard you and came help"
On that moment short flashbacks came in my head and my eyes widened. "How long have I been here? Where's Robert?" I looked her scared. My grandma touched my shoulder gently and calmed me down: "Three days, and he's in the police station, sweetheart. You have nothing to worry about. That man won't touch you even with a long stick anymore if they ask me" she smiled before she moved further of my bed.

"I think that we should go" she said and others from the door nodded. "It was nice to see you, sis" Harry mumbled and came to kiss my cheek before they left. "We will keep thumbs up for you, girl" Sarah showed her thumbs and smiled.
Her act was really kind but I thought that I would have given wanted to give that luck to her, not me. Why He decided save me, why He wanted give me another chance, I thought before I fell asleep again.
I woke up three hours later and noticed a familiar looking dark-haired man sitting on the chair next to me. "Did I woke you up?" he chuckled and he put his phone in his pocket. "No" I smiled weakly and tried collect pieces together who that man was. "Don't you remember your best friend?" he opened his arms and then bunch of memories filled my head. "Alfredo.." I mumbled quietly and he nodded.
He hugged me gently before he sat back on his chair. Alfredo really supposed to be one of my best friends when we were together with Justin still. We hang out like almost every day when Justin wasn't on the town or even on those times when he was which made him jealous sometimes.
"What are you doing here?" I asked and turned to look at him. "Your brother called me and asked me if I could take you at my place when you get out of the hospital" he told and I nodded. Our conversation stopped there for few seconds because I didn't know what to say. "So I just came here to check how are you feeling and ask if that's okay to you?" I looked him a while before I smiled. "Yeah, that would be really nice"

That sounded so dumb, I though myself and rushed to continue: "I mean if that's only fine by you" He chuckled softly. "Of course it is. I'd love to spend time with my old best friend again" he said. "And you know, maybe we can find that fire again under it and start hang out again because I kind of miss that time" I nodded back agreeing.

"They said that you might get out of here on Wednesday" he said before he was making his way out because visitor time was over. "And what is the day now?" I asked laughing. "Monday" he smiled and grabbed his jacket over the back of his chair. I nodded and felt myself a little stupid when I didn't know that kind of basics.
"So I'll come to pick you up on Wednesday then. Let's hope that things get better before that" he said before he left. Minute later a nurse walked in my room with a big tray. "You haven't eaten for days so maybe it would be a good time now get some fuel" she smiled and helped me to sitting position on my bed. "Doctor will come visit at you on 6pm" she informed me still before she left me with my food.
Just a smell of it made my stomach make flips. Maybe I was dreaming because this couldn't be a hospital. This was the heaven.
~
Thoughts? I think that this was a little better chapter than the last one, right? And Claire's evil man has seemly got behind the bars but will he stay there till the end. Nobody knows (beside me of course, lol)
Sorry that I haven't posted for a while but situation is kinda complicate here. I hope that you'll understand

Immortal Shards
In the boundless multiverse, all possibilities, no matter how remote, exist somewhere. Universes are born, or are created, and die, or do not. In the vast Myriad Heavens Cosmos, a reality far away from our own, a mysterious energy called Mana provides the basis for both physical techniques and magical techniques, and interweaves and is part of all matter, all spirits, and all energy. Mana is the lifeblood of the world, and those who channel and cultivate its power are called cultivators, for they strive to grow along the myriad paths of power and enlightenment. There are many such paths, known as Dao, but they all feature Shards! When a being, man, beast, or otherwise, gains a large enough Mana sea in their body, a crystal core, known as a shard, containing the essence of their power, the ideals and emotions that motivate them, and the essence of their soul will form. A beast which cultivates to the level of forming a shard is called a Magical Beast. A human or other being that does is known as a Mystic. A shard may be a Mage Shard, allowing one to use mana to attack with the elements and produce fantastical, reality bending spells. A shard may also be a Warrior shard, channeling elemental and mana power into one’s physical form, shaped into projectiles, or various other uses; or it can be a Immortal Shard, with the abilities of a Warrior and Mage shard both, and others besides. Anyone who forms an Immortal Shard has the potential to shock the vast planes of reality! In the eternal struggle between the living, who will gain advantage, and for how long? Who will live and who will die? Who will protect and guide the commoners, and fight rogue Mystics and Beasts? Into this world, a child with a potential beyond his wildest imaginations is born. But on the journey of cultivation, there are no guarantees! Will he reach his fated glory, or will he die an ignoble death? This is the story of Alexander Grandstar, and even the gods may not know where it goes! Current release schedule is 1 chapter a week, on whatever day I decide to place it (usually Saturday or Sunday)
