《Storm Drains (pennywise love fan-fic) *completed*》Chapter 31

I laid awake next to Penny. We were just looking at each other and it felt peaceful. The day was cold and we were huddled up inside, warm and safe. Penny's eyes were blue, signaling he was calm. He looked innocent, so gentle. But I knew he wasn't.
We had just gotten into a huge fight resulting in slammed doors and broken promises. I said things. Horrible things. And even if he was an evil creature with evil intentions, my words stung him. I know they did.
Penny insisted on hunting Jordan down. I couldn't let him. Jordan had no idea, he was innocent. But in penny's eyes he was a threat, his enemy. His hands touched my skin, and his lips touched my lips. Something only Penny was allowed to do now.
I wanted to tell him I was sorry. And that I did it out of spite. But I knew that wouldn't be the truth. In those days I was away from Penny, I saw myself gravitating towards my normal life. I felt normal and I wanted to be with normal people. I wanted to go home with guys and not worry about seeing them on the news. Hearing about how they were found dead somewhere in Derry. I wanted to have children when I grew old. I wanted to get married and move out of Derry and buy my first home. I wanted my kids to go to school and see my husband drop them off. I wanted to take family vacations and have cheesy cheesy Christmas cards. I wanted to celebrate birthdays and celebrate anniversaries. And I knew that was something I would never have with Penny. It wasn't his fault. It wasn't in his nature to begin with. It was already rare that he had found comfort and a different emotion with me, and that made him vulnerable enough. I couldn't ask for more.
But I was in love with Penny, and I would drop all of those desires to be with him. He was the one I wanted to be with. Only him.
We kept looking at each other and all I could wonder was what he was thinking.
"Your forehead is kinda big" I said stifling a laugh.
He groaned in response but didn't say anything. I began to play with the features on his face, and he surprisingly let me.
"Do you love me?" I asked in all seriousness. I knew the answer to that already but I just wanted to hear it from him.
"Don't ask questions you know the answer too" he growled. I held back from rolling my eyes as I knew it was a pet peeve of his.

"How old are you?" I asked.
Penny groaned in annoyance at all my questions.
"Go to sleep" he snapped. I giggled at his snappy mood. He was tired, but refused to fall asleep until I did.
"Fine" I huffed as I closed my eyes shut. My cheeks began to hurt from how bad I tried not to laugh.
I snorted as I held in my laughter. I opened one of my eyes and saw Penny looking at me with frustration and anger.
"I'm sorry" I said as I began to laugh. I held my mouth with my hand in order to stop but that just made it worse.
Penny's face just made it 10x funnier. He was so upset for no reason and I found it amusing. He was like a grumpy old man.
"Ok ok o- ok I'll I- stop" I said in between laughs.
"Why are you always in a bad mood?" I asked as I bit the inside of my cheek, to stop myself from laughing all over again.
I saw his lips curl up into a faint smile. His gloved hand fell softly upon my face. He began to stroke the side of my face as he looked at me, amused.
"Beautiful" he whispered to himself.
I felt my cheeks turn red at his compliment. I looked at him as he inspected my face.
"How strong are you?" I asked. I was curious on all his characteristics. I wanted to know more.
"Very" he said blankly, not trying to deepen the conversation.
"Well I did see you break 2 doors without even trying" I said sighing as I looked back at my doorless doorway.
"Mm" he said as he continued to look at me. His voice was calm.
"You're sleepy" I said as I played with his hair.
He looked at me blankly, not answering me.
Suddenly a loud crash could be heard from the front of my apartment. Penny shot up instinctively. He stared towards my front door as he growled like a territorial animal.
We heard the loud sound again and Penny pushed me against the headboard of the bed with his forearm. It sounded like loud music and crashing. He held me tightly against the headboard as he continued to growl towards my front door. He didn't want me to move for my own safety and I didn't intend to move.
"What is it?" I asked, too scared to move. I assumed the worst. It could've been a break in for all I knew.
Penny crawled out of the bed and walked towards the kitchen.
I finally got enough bravery to shoot out of bed and follow him. Penny sniffed around trying to locate who or what had made that sound. I quickly walked towards my front door and looked through the peep hole.

I didn't see anything at first but after a couple seconds, I could see a silhouette coming out from the apartment in front of me. Then one silhouette became multiple ones.
"They're having a party" I sighed in relief as I turned to look at Penny. He looked at me as if he had no idea what I was talking about.
I was about to walk towards the bedroom once again when I heard a loud knock on my door.
Penny narrowed his eyes at the door and I heard him growl once again. I looked at him weird before looking back into the peephole.
My heart stopped when I realized it was Jordan.
Fuck
Penny's loud growls behind me indicated he knew exactly who it was. I filled with panic, not knowing what to do.
I stepped away from the door and pushed Penny towards my bedroom.
"I'm just gonna tell him to leave I promise I promise I promise" I said trying to calm him down. Penny looked as if he was about to snap on me at any second. I placed my shaky hands on his shoulders and I inhaled deeply.
"Only you" I said trying to reassure him. I slowly stepped back, keeping my eyes on him as I made my way towards my front door. My eyes kept on penny the whole time. He looked at me angrily. He sat on the edge of the bed and I felt as if he was going to leap up and lunge at me at any given second.
I exhaled heavily and opened the door, swallowing hard.
"Hey you!" Jordan said as he waved at me. His other hand was tucked into his jean pocket.
"Hey" I smiled back weakly. I kept the door tight against my body, not letting Jordan see inside my apartment.
"How you been?" He asked.
I almost screamed as I felt Penny's hand grab my waist. I bit my lip before answering.
"Fine" I said trying to get him to leave.
"Cool, so you going to the party or what?" He said as he pointed behind him.
"No" I said trying to cut the conversation cold.
I gasped as I felt Penny tug at my shorts.
"You good?" Jordan asked as he tried looking behind me. I was glad I was completely covered by the door except for the top portion of my body.
"Mhm" I said biting the inside of my cheek as I felt Penny's hand make its way in between my thighs.
"You should go, I'm going" he said referring to the party. I shook my head vigorously.
"No, I have a test to study for" I lied.
"Or I can bring the party to you" he said with a smirk. I laughed at his joke, not trying to make it a big deal.
"I have to go now" I said trying to close the door. Jordan's foot stopped me from doing so.
"Hey, we both know what we want" he said softly. I looked at him blankly, freaking out in the inside.
"No, you don't" I said trying to close the door once again.
"Lola, you can't be so uptight" he said trying to laugh off the rejection.
I gasped as I felt the door be ripped away from my hands. I stumbled back, falling on my butt.
I looked up and saw Jordans horrified face. Penny towered over him, breathing angrily.
"What the f-" Jordan began to say but wasn't able to finish. Penny grabbed him by the neck, pulling him inside. I crawled backwards, shielding my eyes at the sight that I was about to see.
"Penny no!" I screamed at him as Jordan fought against his grip. Penny's grip was so tight, I could physically see it tighten. I winced at how Jordan's face skin turned red with every passing moment.
Penny looked deep into his eyes. He opened his mouth revealing those deadly lights. Jordan looked right into them, falling deep into a trance. His body fell limp as his eyes widened. His mouth opened slightly and his breathing slowed down.
Penny let go of his neck, and I saw Jordan float up mid air.
"What did you do?" I whispered as penny's body relaxed.
"He's asleep" he growled. I sighed in relief as Penny hadn't shred him to pieces.
Penny turned to look at me.
"Behave, and he'll be set free" he growled.
I nodded understandingly. I didn't want to say the wrong thing, and at least he hadn't killed Jordan.
"Sleep" penny snapped. He pointed towards my bedroom. I scrambled up and ran to my bed. I shut my eyes tightly in fear. I hadn't seen penny do that to anyone. Why didn't I float like that after seeing the same lights?
I opened my eyes slowly and my eyes widened at the sight.
They were both gone.

Horizon
Emiluna is about to turn 16 and gain access to her first two classes. Living in a small village in the middle of nowhere, she always wanted to become a Hunter. Having learned a bit under her parents, a miller and a seamstress, she was sure she could never pick a class that meant staying inside all day. But being a Hunter is more than just a class. It means providing meat for the village, culling small pests near the cultivated fields and most importantly guarding the village from predators and monsters. But Emiluna is not a normal girl and her destiny far bigger than she could have ever imagined.Join her as she finds out what awaits just behind the horizon.[Word from the author]I am looking to create a fantasy world that has some logic to it and stays believable even as characters gain power and progress in levels.Classes and level quantify the people's progress, but they do not artificially inflate their power to demi-god levels. I am primarily trying to write a captivating story, not "power-porn". That means it will be slower than the fast burning litRPG you might be used to, but it won't burn out that quickly either and I won't drop half of my plots at the wayside. I should mention that English is not my native language. I hope it is mostly unnoticeable, but sometimes I manage to slip some awkard sentence structure in there (German sometimes puts things together in reverse). It it also my first time writing an actual fantasy novel and the first time writing anything at length in English. Any constructive feedback is very welcome.Credit where credit is due: Cover picture by Paul Bica (Licensed under CC 2.0)Check out his amazing photos here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/dexxusYes, my cover picture is a photo, not a drawing. :D I might try my hand at some Paint-ification later to add the title.[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
8 177The Head That Wears The Crown
It's a tale as old as time. Boy goes to funeral. Boy gets sucked into a different world. Boy has to lead a settlement. Boy has to lead a settlement? Boy has to lead a settlement. This is a story about that settlement, and some other stuff. Maybe. Disclaimer: Not sure if it qualifies enough for a gore tag. There is a description of someone's death somewhere in this, but I don't think it is descriptive enough to justify a gore tag. Disclaimer part deux: I initially started writing this as background for another story but got so into it I just ended fleshing it out a bit. Disclaimer part tres: People love reading disclaimers don't they? It's why I've included so many. They're just for you. Disclaimer part four: I know, this is getting egregious. You're starting to find it less funny. Just wait till the twentieth disclaimer, it will start being funny again. Disclaimer part five: I'm kidding, this is the last one. I don't promise I'll read every comment or message, but I certainly welcome your feedback. Disclaimer part six: I lied, it wasn't the last one. I wrote this story without breaking it down into chapters. It just goes, that means that the chapter ends when it ends, not when there is a convenient break in the story. That means that it's very annoying for you as a reader since chapters can end mid sentence. Hah! Sucker! Disclaimer part seven: Get ready for slow updates. Who knows when this will continue. Toss it on read later and come back in fifty years. Disclaimer part eight: Cover Photo by Arthur Ogleznev on Unsplash

8 194Sitting Under a Torn Umbrella
Man is for man - this is an old slogan today. It has lost its uniqueness for the cause of self-centred mentality. Now we cannot hear the chorus songs of unity. Rather the sound of cacophony always do disturb our hearing organ by imposing acute disparity. We don't fly the flag of harmony, uncompromising corrupted selfish hands try to disconnect the rope of the flying flag to take undue advantage. Human being lacks of humane quality. Strangulation of faith is seen here and there. We are losing hope day by day. The act of deflowering is an art. The dignity of woman is mercilessly crushing under the wheel of gender inequality. Filial piety sinks into the ocean of disbelief. Every moment we do feel pangs of neglect sitting under a torn umbrella.
8 155Creature Feature: InGen Hybrids
The fossil record is obviously incomplete, which means InGen's experiments with the hybridisation of various prehistoric creatures are probably not over. With that in mind, this guide is likely incomplete. But if you're writing Jurassic Park or Jurassic World fanfiction, or stories told within that pretty awesome universe, then any of the creatures found in these fair pages should be considered entirely canon!
8 85Hello, I'm Candace, but you can call me Kandake. I'm a literature and non-fiction writer who has a passion and belief that art imitates life. A Sound Mind is meant to represent the existence of such in the eeriest of ways. From spirituality to crime to cults to history and sex. There are pictures in it too to back up the factual yet shocking details of said story. I'll say it's up to the reader if they deem my chapters worth a read and I sure hope it is. I hope you enjoy A Sound Mind as much as I enjoy writing it.
