A/N: yay another chapter! just letting you know that it is just a tad short and a little fast-paced, but I hope you guys like it and thanks for reading!!
Their names were Ko, Aesha, and Adimu. Ko was the Japanese man who's name meant peace. Aesha was the middle-aged Indian woman, her name meant wish. lastly, the old African lady was Adimu, her name translated to rare in Kenyan.
They were all people who were just like you. Taken from their homes and families by the same species of creature that Hoolan was. They had met the monster beforehand, not knowing yet just how monstrous they were, and once an obsession was formed they were taken down into the Abyss. Just like you.
They told you their stories, about their Abyss Keeper, that's what they liked to call Hoolans kind. You did not think about it much but went with the name anyway.
They told you that this was a base to help save people who had been taken by Abyss keepers. Also that it was safe from the monsters because it was in an area with Creatures that Abyss keepers always avoided.
Aesha had Been with her Abyss Keeper for 20 years. She was 25 when a Monster worthy of a Lovecraft book came out of the ocean. Her village was so frightened, they did not know what to do. They decided that to save the majority of the people they would sacrifice a fair maiden to this water god.
She was tied up and tossed into the ocean. You teared up at her story. Listening to how she described plunging into the dark water, squirming and crying. Scared when the crimson eyes of her beast opened up in front of her and took in her form for the first time.
Wrapping his tentacles around her and dragging her down into the dark waters. She called him Dhanuraashi, which in Hindi meant Archer.
Ko told his story next. About how he was 23 years old and considered himself somewhat lucky because He was only kept by his Abyss keeper for a little over a year.
His story was about him meeting a young Japanese girl with a Beautiful eye mutation. Her eyes were completely one color. Dark purple.

Her name was Chihiro, which in Japanese was Seeker. She was young and shy, often ridiculed for her mutation. Ko however thought it was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen.
He fell in love with her and she him. Things started to become weird when she started getting possessive, not allowing him to even see family members anymore. He wanted to talk to her about this problem and she lured him away to the beach where she revealed her true self.
That this girl who he had Fallen in love with was not who he thought she was, that she was just a corpse this hole time and the "mutated eyes" were really the eyes of a monster all along. He was dragged into the ocean that same night.
It was Adimu's story that pulled at your heart the most though. Her and The Abyss keeper that she named Githinji, which meant Butcher in Kenyan
She was sixteen in her oceanside village in Kenya when a water demon burst out of the water and started to devour her people. One by one they were grabbed by the tentacles and thrown into the mouth of the beast where they were ground by rotating teeth.
She tried to run with her mother, but when her mother was taken she stopped, dropping to her knees. She said the Butcher took one, long sniff at her, staring at her with his dark green eyes and grabbed her too.
However, she was not thrown into the grinder as the rest of her people were. She was held in one tentacle as the beast continued to destroy her village, eating her people.
She had to watch in horror as everyone she had ever known was eaten alive in front of her, their blood spilling all over her. The butcher took her down into the dark, where he kept her for 67 years until she was rescued just last year, at the age of 83.
You just could not believe it. People who had gone through the same things as you and some of them much worse and much longer. You could not help the tears that fell down your cheeks.
Aesha came and sat next to you on your bed. Bringing you into her arms and resting her head on your chin when you leaned into her touch. Ko Helped walk Adimu over to your bed where she also took a seat next to you and grabbed your hands in her old and shaky ones.

" Tell us your story Y/N." Aesha said in her Indian accent. You sniffed and looked into the eyes of each of them. You had met them only about an hour ago, yet you feel like you had known these people your whole life. You felt closer to these people than anyone else you had ever known.
You took a deep breath and told them your tale. About your job at the underwater base. Your team and what you did. You told them about Hubert, Jack, Paul, Robert, and Maria.
You told them about first finding Hoolan, and the adventure you had studying him. You told them about everything that happened after that. quickly speeding through when Hoolan first took you. Mentioning how Hoolan took control of Hubert's corpse to try and make you feel more comfortable around him
Choking up when you got to your escape attempt, and how you almost died from your bodies reaction to Hoolan's venom.
How you were sick for an unknown amount of time. How the only way he was able to save your life was to remove your left leg entirely. They listened attentively the whole time. All holding on tightly to you while Ko quietly translated what you were saying to Adimu.
Aesha still rested her chin on your head You could feel the drops of her tears as she cried at your tail much as you had done to hers.
You told them about Hoolan bringing you to the beach, and getting better slowly over time. You knew it was obvious to them about how you had grown fond of Hoolan, and eventually coming to love him. You saw Ko's shocked face about that part as you finished your tale.
" Hoolan was bad at first but he slowly got better over time." You tried to convince them, yes there is things you would never forgive him for, but he was good now. Except for the part about killing people for hosts, you wish that he did not do that and that's also something you would never forgive him for.
You looked into Aesha's eyes as she grabbed your cheeks in both of her hands and lifted your head to look at her slightly plump face.
" It's alright Y/N, I too over time had grown to love Archer, and when I was first brought here it took me a long time to get out of the mental hold he had me in. It was a while, but eventually, I started to see the things about him again that made him not worthy of love." she said calmly. You started to cry again and shook your head hysterically.
" No no no, You don't understand. I already said Hoolan was bad before but He's good now. I just need to convince him to not kill any more people for hosts and then everything will be alright," You said to them. Not failing to miss the concerned looks that they all passed by each other as you talked about going back to your Abyss Keeper
Ko started to say something but the door squeaked open again, and a couple of armored men brought in four trays of food. Your mouth immediately started to water at the smell of spaghetti. It had been so long since you had had anything other than seafood or Island fruit.
To eat everyone went to their own beds. You practically ate the whole thing at once. Feeling good to not be eating fish. You were done before the others were even a quarter of the way through their dinners.
Once you were done the men took your tray and exited the room. Layed down on your side as you watched the other eat. You hoped more than anything that Hoolan was ok. You were so worried for him right now. Granted you were glad to meet people that you could feel this comfortable around.
But Hoolan was really hurt by that gas, and you wished that he would come and save you soon. Eventually, before you even knew it, you had fallen asleep on the soft been you layed on.
