Sean: Got ready?

Bob: Nope, still have time. You up?

Bob: Get up. I will be leaving early...

Sean: why?

Bob: I have to meet someone.

Zhan was disheartened. He didn't know why? He felt that if the other person got committed this person would distance himself from him, that's the least he wanted. Therefore, after sending the last message he didn't check his phone. He got ready and left for the office.

He reached the office by 9.00. He went to his cabin and Yibo was waiting for him there. They had a meeting with the Boss, main heads of other depts. and team leads at 9.30 am. Zhan and Yibo had to make a presentation on the report together. But, Zhan was sad because of what Bob said and Yibo was frustrated because Sean didn't give a reply.

Yibo asked, "cant you reach at least 5min early". Zhan in a serious tone, "Nope". Both of them weren't in a great mood they knew that. So, Yibo just passed on a USB, informed him about the part he would be referring then left the cabin.

After meeting Zhan, Yibo went to the conference room. He stood outside leaning against the wall, he was grumpy for a reason but he didn't know why Zhan was being grumpy and he didn't know, why the Sean was behaving like this and left the chat like that, just then he heard a buzz he checked his phone and he got his smile back on his face.

After Yibo left, Zhan checked his phone. There were 4 to 5 messages from Bo.

Bob: what's with that Oh?

Bob: Sean, You there?

Bob: Hey, what's wrong?

Bob: Sean, I was going to meet our HR manager. Seriously, I am not cheating on you.

Bob: Goddamit give me a reply!

Sean: You sure, you are not cheating on me. 😜

Bob: Seriously, was that funny?

Sean: Why were you worried?

Bob: pfft. Were you jealous?

Sean: Shut up, I am going...

Sean: Go and do your job. I will text you later.

Luo Yunxi, saw Zhan coming to the office he felt that Zhan wasn't in a great mood. He was intending to let him know that Yibo was waiting for him but before that Zhan got inside his cabin, Yibo and Zhan had some serious talk then Yibo left. They both had a poker face. But just as Yibo left and Zhan glanced at his phone, his mood was back to normal not just normal he was giggling.

Luo Yunxi entered Zhan's cabin and asked him, "Why do you hate Yibo this much?" "I don't, I just adore him. If you are worried about the presentation, don't worry I won't mess up". Zhan stood up smiled, took the USB, and left the cabin.

Luo Yunxi knew Zhan from the day he joined here but he still couldn't make out, what this guy was thinking?

When Zhan reached the conference room, he saw Yibo leaning against the wall and smiling. He thought this so-called cold face had a sweet smile. Just then Yibo looked up and met his eye.

"Did your girlfriend text you?" Zhan asked.

"Why you jealous?" Yibo retorted.

It's the second time, someone was asking the same question on the same day. Zhan gave Yibo a poker face and both entered the conference room.

The meeting started at 10 am. As both teams prepared the presentation concurrently, there wasn't much of a conflict between Zhan and Yibo, the presentation went smoothly and Boss approved and appreciated the same.

The meeting lasted for 2 hours, which made both exhausted and there was 1 hour left for lunch. So, both went to the cafe to grab something to drink.

They order their caffeine but then they remembered they were alone they don't have their teammates to tag along. This created an awkward situation. They both didn't know what to do? At last, they sat near the window. There was an uneasy silence between the two.

Zhan who felt too much uneasy asked, "Why do you hate me so much?".

Yibo who was completely in a trance, hearing this he looked at Zhan questioningly, "I can ask you the same?"

Zhan gave him an "oh". Then again, the silence went on, as the meeting just ended, they didn't have the energy to fight.

After a while, Zhan's team Luo Yunxi, Wang Haoxuan, and Zhuo Cheng came to the cafeteria, to have their lunch. They saw Zhan and Yibo who were not giving any damn about each other sharing a table staring out of the window. They ordered their food, went to the same table, and joined them.

"How was the presentation?" Zhuocheng asked which bought Yibo and Zhan out of the daze.

"It was good, boss approved the plan and said starting from now we have to work together and gave a 30 min lecture on that". Zhan retorted.

Wang Haoxuan laughed and said, "Boss asked you both, to work together".

Zhuocheng giving a chuckle, " if it wasn't for Luo Yunxi and Liu Haikuan the business plan would still have been dead-end".

Just then Yibo's whole team joined in.

Liu Haikuan asked, "How was the presentation?"

Zhuocheng retorted, "I think it went great. Boss even asked them to work together".

"Stop taunting. He asked the whole team to work together. So the good news is we would be having fieldwork from next week". Yibo retorted with a serious face.

"Nope. That's not fair". Ji li started to whine.

Luo Yunxi asked, "are you guys serious about, we having field duty?".

"Yeah, for sales and demand survey, a couple of us have to be on the field for a while" Zhan replied.

"We can take turns. Anyway, there are 2 teams so 12 people, two people each day" Song Jiang said.

Yibo replied with a "hmmm".

Liu Haikuan gave Yibo a pat on the shoulder and said, "It's ok, tomorrow it's Sunday anyways, we can rest for the whole day, then get back to work".

Fieldwork was a tiring job, and the office work leads to total fatigue. They knew that the following days gonna be hectic. This made them grey.

After lunch, everyone left for his or her own cabin and cubicle. Zhan was done for the day, he didn't have anything else to do. So, he fished out his phone and texted Bob.

Sean: you there?

( after like 2 min)

Bob: Yup. Are you done for today?

Zhan looked around to see if someone from his team is texting or not. But he couldn't find anyone, then gave a reply.

Sean: Yeah. What about you?

Bob: Yeah! I just had a couple of emails to send. That's it.

Sean: How, did your meeting with HR go?

Bob: Good, Casual talk. I still don't know why she asked me to meet me in a cafe.

Sean: Idiot, why would a girl ask you to out? Isn't that obvious.

Bob: Naah, I am not interested.

Sean: oh, what type are you interested in?

Bob: I don't know. Maybe someone who understands me. Who won't be judgemental?

Just then, Jessi came over to Zhan's cabin asking him to join for an evening snack. He kept his phone back in his pocket and left the cabin.

Yibo waited for his reply for 5 min, then Bowen came into his cabin and asked, "Hey boss, Jessi messaged me, they are going to the cafeteria. So we are joining them. You coming?"

Yibo nodded placed his phone back in his pocket and left the cabin.

Zhan and his squad went to the cafeteria first after that Yibo, the squad entered, and Ji li walked over to the table.

"Hey, Jessi you have everyone's number, How come you just messaged Li Bowen?". Ji li walked over teasing her.

"Nope, I messaged Song Jiang too. Why you jealous?". Jessi said.

"Jessi sorry I didn't see it. By the way, what do you guys want? I will go and grab that from the counter" Song Jiang said. "I will come with you," Jessi said.

Everyone told them what they want. Jessi and Song Jiang left.

"When did these two become close?" Zhuocheng asked.

Zoey looked at them, at said, "Jessi knew Song Jiang from start, they are like entry mates."

After five to ten min Jessi and Jiang returned with their caffeine.

"Jiang, we didn't you and Jessi were entry mates" Ji li started to tease again.

"Ji li it's not just me and Song Jiang. Me, him, Zoey, Libowen, and Yang we all are entry mates." Jessi retorted.

Ji li gave Zoey a grumpy look and said, "why did you skip that part?".

Zoey giving him a wink, "for fun".

Yibo said, "so most of you guys knew each other from start."

Yang replied, "not exactly, we know each other like in the sense we had an interview on the same day and got selected on the same day as well. That's it. Then there wasn't much of contact".

"Except for me and Zoey who ended up in the same training session and department" Jessi continued.

After a while, Luo Yunxi asked pointing at Zhan, " you and Yibo aren't you guys, entry mates?

Zhan choked on his drink, "How did you know that?"

"Just a guess. So, guys are entry mates." Yunxi retorted.

"Yeah, that kind of happened," Yibo replied.

Li Bowen asked, "so, when did you guys exactly started to fight?"

Zhan gave a cranky look to libowen, "I don't remember. I don't think we ever had a decent talk without a fight".

Liu Haikuan asked, "Then why don't you guys give it a try?"

Yibo and Zhan together, "Not happening."

Zoey who was scanning through her phone abruptly cried out, "Shit, when did these two get committed."

Everyone gave Zoey a questioning look. Jessi asked, "Who?"

"These two". Zoey said shoving her phone into Jessi's face. Jessi saw this and asked, "Gao Hanyu and Ji Xiaobing aren't they from the production department. So what? Why are you so stunned?"

Zoey started to whine, "Why is it Xiabing? Why? Why?"

Wang Haoxuan found something more interesting said, "didn't they used to fight a lot."

Everyone looked at Yibo and Zhan started to laugh.

Zhan and Yibo became all red they both got up together and were about to leave.

"Hey, were you guys going. Sorry, we won't tease you. I heard we are having field duty from Monday. What's the plan?" Zoey inquired.

Zhan and Yibo sat down they looked at each other and Zhan said, "as Song Jiang suggested there are 12 people, 2 people each day can do field duty and transmit the details to other and ones who are in office can do the office and paperwork."

"On Monday, who would be going on field duty" Ji li asked.

"Me and Zhan, we have to meet three clients on that day. So we will do the fieldwork for that day." Yibo said.

"Are you sure? Would you be fine together?" Others asked.

"I don't know, that's what our boss wants." Zhan retorted.

They left the cafeteria after that. It was nearly 6.00 so Zhan left the office reached home by 6.30. He freshened up, took his phone, and saw the last message From Yibo.

Sean: Sorry, My friends came over. And about me well I have a sister. I am from Chongqing. And my parents are private employees.

(After 20 min he got a reply)

Bob: I thought you ditched me again.

Sean: Nope. Not so soon.

Bob: what's the plan for tomorrow?

Sean: Sleep, sleep, and sleep. What about you?

Bob: I don't know.

Sean: Bo, Are we ever gonna meet?

Bob: Hmmmmm, if we ever guess each other name correctly. Then let's meet.

Bo: I don't hate anyone. We can only hate that person who we loved once. And I don't remember being in love.
