I mean this is a tip my friend told me, but I'm not sure how 'morally right' it is. If you're really desperate for a way to gain reads without really writing much is to post these type of chapters:

1) authors notes which are whole chapters- your readers will still read them, therefore giving you reads

2) old covers for your book- readers seem to like these and they give you reads for literally doing nothing

3) shoutouts- same reasons as above

4) ask a question to your readers and make it a whole chapter claiming that you will delete the chapter later

All these techniques increase the amount of chapters you have without writing any real chapters of your story, which will increase your read count. But as I said before, I don't know how well this works seeing as it was recommended to me but I never tried it out.
