The day I've been dreading for so long was finally here. Yet there I was pacing back and forth in my room while taking occasional breaks only to stop and stare at the huge pile of clothes on my bed and then whine because I couldn't find THE perfect dress.

Only a few hours were left until the event and I still had no idea what to wear. Letting out a loud sigh I sat down on the pile of clothes. My mom entered my room, and I pretended not to look at her since she wasn't letting me go buy a new dress. She then opened my closet and there it was, the perfect dress.

My jaw dropped in shock, there's no way it was there before! My mom's a magician. As she chuckled, she lightly patted my back and then moved out of my room to let me get ready. After taking a quick shower, getting dressed, and wearing light makeup I was ready.

Taking one last look at myself, and after wearing lipstick on my already coated lips I made my way outside where my father was waiting, honking the car for the past 5 minutes.

I entered the venue. It was dark and spacious with a dance floor, huge stage and disco lights everywhere.

I pretended to scan the venue with amazed, wide eyes when in fact I was looking for a certain someone. Rather, I spotted my friends and went to join them. While talking, I saw him enter.

He was wearing a black buttoned shirt with black jeans, his hair as usual roughly brushed back except for a few short strands of hair.

I could stare at him forever.

I adjusted my strap and whispered to Natalie in her ear that he's here. Despite asking her not to look around immediately, she did a very obvious 180• turn. I couldn't help face palming myself.

Soon, the concert started. Somewhere along getting closer to the stage, I lost sight of him.

I decided to enjoy the night. After hours of listening to the loud music, my ears started hurting so I went to stand at the back.

I chose to stand at a high place where I could see everyone rather clearly. My lips naturally formed a smile when I finally saw him. He was the only person I could see as if he was under the spotlight. He was moving his body slightly to the song while lipsynching.

I've never seen him like this before. That must mean he liked songs or specifically this song.

But then I saw where he was looking.

He was looking at another girl the same way I look at him.

That night, I got my heart broken by someone who wasn't even mine, to begin with.
