Day Five

Verses: 'Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people. ' Ephesians 6:13-18

God knew in this world, we would have trouble. God knew about the Devil's ways. God knew about pride, temptation, lust, anger, depression, comparison, jealousy, and so much more. God knew we would battle with these things, which is why He tells us to put on the armor of God.

So in this day and age, you probably don't need a shield, helmet, or a sword. But you still can put on the armor of God.

Caty, how?!

We still have the word of truth, The Bible. So we need to read it, everyday! I know I don't always read my Bible everyday but I should. Because the Bible is the truth we need to base our life off of. When we are struggling with the things of this world (pride, lust, anger, depression, etc.), we need to run to God and open the word of truth aka The Bible. Because when you are reading the Bible, and pray everyday (we need to do that to), we can fight the Devil because we have God in our hearts.

Here is my armor of God: a cup of coffee in my hand, reading my Bible everyday, and praying to God everyday. When I do those things: I feel better, and closer to God.

Your armor of God may be different, and that's okay! Maybe you need to get off social media because you struggle with comparison and jealousy. Maybe you need to stop being friends with toxic people.

God will show you what you need to do once you start reading your Bible everyday and praying to God everyday. Let praying to God everyday and reading your Bible everyday be your armor of God!

With our armor of God on and with God by our side, we can fight any battle and win!❤️

Prayer:

Dear God,

I pray that as I read my Bible everyday and pray everyday that I become closer to you. Help me fight the Devil and win because I have you on my side! Please show me what I need to do like if I need to get off social media. Just guide me Lord. Because with you on my side, I know, I can do anything!

I thank you for all my many blessings and for Your Son.
