Apart the scary things that we already know after the future of Kalyug , we must also look at the things we can do to make it better. Our Vedas not only have the coming complications and predictions , but the solutions by which we can make ourselves protected in this dark era . The only thing we can do is being wise and truthful. However the reason is not known but some say this is because in Satyuga , if you want to gain Punya ( saintly peace ) you will have to give your one year in doing righteous efforts for humanity, by helping the people , by taking care of the nature, etc. In Dvapara Yuga , the austerity of one year could be done by doing good works for a few months only. And in Kalyug , the time for attaining all the Punya of one year can be achieved in a single day. So being an ideal , better person here means doing their duties everyday. In this way , if each of us follow this , the power of Kalyug will instinctively collapse.

Another positive thing about living in Kalyug is that we have a lot of resources , convenience and solace in our lives. We can work for the development of ourselves as well as of others even better than before. We have technology , above all , which has its own benefits and drawbacks , but at last its a human made thing , better use it for the betterment of humankind.
