From Satyug to Kalyug , there has been a slow , but incredibly vast change in different things. Degeneration in the way of living , knowledge and wisdom. There has been decline not only in the morality , but also in the mental and physical strength of an individual. Do you know that average people used to live for 100,000 years in Satyug?
Then it decreased to 10,000 years in Treta Yuga( Shri Ram ruled in Ayodhya for 10,013 years). In Dvapara Yuga , the average age of a human was 1000 years . The life expectancy has gone below 100 years nowadays , or in Kalyug. It it said that it will decrease to about 50 years in the upcoming future. Average Human height will deteriorate , too.In Shrimad Bhagvatam it is mentioned that in Kalyug people will destroy the natural resources so much that it's outcome will come in the form of severe cold , floods , heat , rain and snow. People will suffer from diseases , hunger , thirst and mental illness.
Moreover people will no longer take care of their parents. They will leave their elders alone on themselves. People will become so much hateful that they will fight for a few coins of wealth , or anything of their desire. They would be ready to die themselves or kill someone to fulfill their needs. There will be no more greenery left on Earth. People will have to eat rotten food which will be mostly derived from animal flesh.
It feels strange because most of the things written in the Puranas and scriptures are getting true , moreover worse nowadays. Isn't it ?

The Girl from the Mountain
Alexandra Bedford is a weapon, a young woman with telekinetic powers capable of leveling entire cities, born to fight in the desolate remains of post-apocalyptic North America. There is only one problem: she may be losing control of her abilities. Sixteen years after a global pandemic devastated the earth’s population, the lines in the old United States have been drawn between the Cheyenne Directorate in Colorado and the New England Alliance on the East Coast. The Directorate, of which Alexandra is a part, is a small but powerful organization dedicated to returning the country to its former glory. However, when a diplomatic mission to the New England Alliance goes wrong, Alexandra finds herself at the center of a bloody civil war. Battles are fought on the old highways and in dilapidated towns and once-great cities. And as the conflict escalates, all of North America faces the threat of being burnt away by nuclear fire. Against this backdrop of war, Alexandra tries to uncover the long-hidden secrets behind the plague, her abilities, and the two men fighting to decide the fate of the United States - Henry Bedford, Alexandra's father and leader of the Directorate, and John Martin, the mysterious figure at the heart of the New England Alliance who may hold the key to everything she seeks. None of this will matter, however, unless Alexandra can prevent the power growing inside her from taking over and consuming the very world she is fighting to save. Author's Notes: I appreciate you taking a look at my novel, The Girl from the Mountain. If you're a fan of post-apocalyptic fiction, military thrillers, and/or cosmic horror, I think you'll enjoy this story. I completed the novel's first draft back in 2011 and made significant changes in 2016. Since then, I've more-or-less sat on the manuscript while working on other projects. Thanks to a bit of prodding, I've decided to send this story out into the wild with some touch-ups and additional revisions. I welcome any comments or criticisms, and I hope you enjoy The Girl from the Mountain!
8 227Starvation March : Voidborn
Born from the void, a being is finally given the greatest gift possible: Life. It's very core composed of endless slaughter and an even more neverending hunger, how will this being cope with the rest of the universe? Shunned due to it's past, hated because of it's powers and it's loved ones in peril, how far will this being go in order to continue living happily? Embracing it's nature, carrying slaughters and unspeakable horrors, these are mere trivialities for the being. After all, it's not known as the Slaughterer for nothing. [In case you don't know, this is a redo of Starvation March. The synopsis is kinda shit, but still. I tried.]

A forsaken kingdom, an empty throne, a dwindling population and the blame is one young girl? Can she overcome the darkness in her heart and the stigma of her people and become something great? This is my first attempt at a series so if anyone has any critiques on my work, grammatical or plot wise feel free to leave them in the comments; also, don't be afraid to be brutally honest in the reviews. Gonna leave it at (14+) for now. PS- The description is a work in progress.
