《Unstable (L x Reader)》Chapter One: Finding Her

(name) has entered this asylum since she was 10. She was practically like a legend there. They talked about her like one at least. They talked about how she was so young when she was admitted to the asylum and how she acted. They usually called her the demon child. She did odd things but was treated poorly, like poor poorly. The guards that worked there, guarding her cell for most of the day are really rude and sometimes they harass her. And since she began puberty inside a cell they would keep a "close eye on her". And since (name) had no idea about any cameras and things in her cell she could be easily watched if she changed. And the rest of her history that she barely can remember might possibly be as dark as her history she can properly remember. But almost on the other side of the city there was an investigation, starring Kira and L. They were the stars. L was the investigator and he needed serious help, he knew the task force he had assembled on his own would not be enough he needed an extra set of eyes. He scoured all his sources and then came across something interesting. A file. Though it came from a mental institute, it was fascinating to him. As he was looking at the more personal details he saw that this person in the file was extremely smart so he figured this might help. But then he saw that the person was the same age as him and he was shocked that they would hold someone in there for so long. But then when he wanted his biggest question to be answered he saw that it was covered up and that he would not be able to see it. That made him upset but he figured that the person in the file, (name), would be worth a try to get her to join the team. He quietly called for his assistant Watari and asked him to call the institute to try and arrange the release of (name) (l/n). He called them and once they quickly heard of who was calling them they quickly began to stiffen and listen.

"I would like to request the release of (name) (l/n) from your facility." Watari stated bluntly.
"*spitting sound* (name)!? Im sorry but are you sure you have the right person?" the receptionist asked.
"Yes," said L grabbing the phone, "I need her for my case, she would be of great help."
"I'm sorry but I'm just making sure you want (name) (l/n), the girl who is over clinically insane, and is scary smart and can read through you like glass." said the receptionist while reading through her small file at the front desk.
"Yes. I did not stutter when I said her name did I?" L said, getting irritated.
"No, we are starting to grab her release papers as we speak, but just so you know, this will be temporary, she will have to return." the receptionist stated.
"I understand." L said and then hanging up the phone.
Watari started preparing the car to head their way towards the mental hospital, insane asylum, whatever you may call it. As they arrived there were two guards that were waiting for them at the door, L and Watari had stepped out of their car and were led inside. First they were taken to an office and sat down with the "warden" person who worked there. He handed the two the release papers and went over every single little detail over it. At one point, the whole paper talk was really bothering L so he left the room quickly leaving the paper work with Watari, he did trust him after all with knowing his name and history and all. He began walking around and looking at the building and how they structured everything. It was not super big but it was definitely plainly decorated. As L was wandering around he ended up finding himself in a more restricted area of the building. It was not blocked off or anything, you could just tell it was more uptight than the other areas. He ended up walking down this long hall and ended up in a very guarded room. L approached the guards and started talking to them, even though they really weren't supposed to be doing that, they had a very lax job. "Excuse me, guards, is this (name)'s room, or should I say in this case cell?" L said in his quiet and monotone voice. "Why would you have come all the way over here?" the guard on the left said. "She's the worst patient here!" said the guard on the right. "What my colleague means is that she is the most insane here." elaborated the guard on the left. "Well if you two gossipers haven't heard, I am releasing her. This place seems awful to live in anyway." L said all "of a matter of fact" like. "I would hate to see that beauty go."said the guard on the right. "Yeah, with those perfect curves in all the right places." said the guard on the left. "And I think she knows we're there... I think she likes the attention." finished the guard on the right. "You disgusting perverts." L said mumbling but just low enough where they could hear him. But before they could lay a finger on L Watari had rounded the corner with a nurse with some keys. He shoved the two guards over, knowing fully well that they were about to grind L to a pulp, but failing. The door to her cell was opened and then they entered inside. They were in this room that had monitors everywhere where you could see everything she does in this set up she has. It was just a white padded cell with a black mattress with a pillow on the floor. There was an attached bathroom and that was it. And there were definitely no windows anywhere. Out of the corner of L's eye he could see the nurse rummage through a filing cabinet and checked her medical file and then grabbed some sort of drug from a drawer. She led L and Watari inside her cell.

A Forgotten Hero
(author: This is gonna be a long synopsis I apologise. This should be a prolouge but as you will see I have a seperate prolouge, please forgive me. This fiction as a warning beforehand is as basic as it comes, prettymuch following all story conventions of both the mecha and school life genres. I am mostly writing this to figure out my writing style before I begin something truly creative and uique. I dont wanna ruin something I worked hard on by being illiterate. Also illustrations are at a minimum because all I have access to is MS paint.) In the year 2028 humanity (accidentally) created the means to travel great distances through space in a short period of time. This has led humanity down the road of great technological advancement and also led to the spread of humanity across their home system and just begiining first steps upon other solar systems planets. In the year 2033 the human colonies in space broke from the chains of their old countries creating hyper advanced societies disregarding nationality and any other defining factor. Two space societies formed the Solar Empire a monarchic society with its capitol on the moon Titan which controeld the entire human home system aside from Earth which still remained divided into seperate contries. The other was the Extra-solar Leauge. A mysterious society outside of easy contact range with any other humans besides themselves. To help with construction and other work outside of sealed and breatheable atmospheres of their cities and ships the Solar Empire and Extra-Solar Leauge created what became known as Advanced Movement Shells(AMS). These machines are best described as huge exoskeletons or "mechs", and they aided greatly in getting things done by increasing strength, durability, and the amount of tools able to be used. They also aided in quelling rebellions among extremist groups forming in these new societies. Finally in the year 2050 the Solar Empire having divinated their emperor, and now beliving themselves to be their religions chosen people, the Solar Empire declared a holy war of conquest against all the nations of Earth in order to conquer it under the idea that all humanity was required to bend to their divine emperors rule. The first month of the war whent badly for earth as the divided nations fell one by one due to the Empires superior weaponry among other technologies which made their forces nearly invincible. The AMS were used to great effect due to their almost "magical" level of technological advancement. Some nations able to put up some kind of defense created their own versions of these technological terrors. From there the war became a brutal stalemate and suddenly was won by the forces of earth. Why this is still hasn't come to the light of the common man, but one thing is for certain it took a heroic effort from one, or many people to win it for humanity...
