《The Kidnapped Orphan》Near the end.

Daisy's POV
I managed to arrive at the hospital before giving birth and I was on a bed, crowded by all my family. James still not here..
"Press hard, Daisy! You can do this!" I listened to the nurse's instructions and gave my best push. I had done this before, so I know what to do. I was just sad James wasn't here to support me.
I screamed in agony and pain. It was awful. After around 5 minutes of pain, I gave birth to my precious baby boy. The nurse cut the umbilical cord and then took my new born off me and wrapped him in a white, cosy blanket, then gave him back to me.
"Aw." I whispered, looking at his gorgeous face. I cried and stroked his delicate, soft cheek lightly with my finger.
"He's beautiful, Daisy. What's his name going to be?" My other mother asked.
"James and I haven't decided." I struggled to say.
"He should not be part of this baby's life, if he couldn't even be bothered turning up here." She stated.
"He went to go and look for Alice.." I trailed off.
"Excuse me?" My other father exclaimed.
"Yeah, Kayla told me she was kidnapped. That fucker, Joseph." I groaned. "I went to go and look for her too, before this little one decided he wanted to come out."

Alice's POV
"WHERE IS SHE, JOSEPH?!" A man, sounding like my dad yelled. He came to look for me!
"HELP!" I screamed, rocking the box over so it went crashing.
I hurt myself but I wanted to escape. I kept on rocking the wooden box until I heard two pairs of footsteps coming towards the room I was in. I had barricaded myself in the room by accident.

"Shit." I mumbled, trying to move my body, so the box would roll over. It rolled over and the door slammed open.
"Alice baby. Where are you, sweetheart?" My dad called out.
"I'm in here." I cried, curling myself up.
James attempted opening the box, to set me free, but it was locked and the lock was metal. "Give me the keys." James demanded. I sobbed and laid back. I pulled out the object that I had been sitting on, and it turned out to be a key.
"Yes." I quietly praised myself. I put the key in the hole and opened the lid.
"DAD!" I climbed out of the box and hugged him tightly. "Alice." His deep voice whispered.
"You two bitches. If you tell anyone, I swear I will-" Joseph started.
"Will what?" James punched Joseph in the stomach and then picked me up, running out of the house and down the street.
"Thank you." I sobbed softly, hugging James again. Our hugging finished when we heard a loud bang coming from the house. It finished with a woman's scream.

5 years later..Daisy's POV
Alice was upstairs, gathering her stuff to leave here. She was going to buy a new house and had got herself a boy. They were going to move in together.
Bobby was colouring in and drawing random circles. "Mummy, look what I drawed!" Bobby came rushing to me, his bright blue eyes glaring at me. "It's not drawed, baby. It's drew. Make sure you attend your speaking and writing club today!" I chuckled, kissing his forehead.
Alice came down the stairs, she looked gorgeous as always. Her brown hair falling past her waist, two boxes in her hand.
"I'm going to put these in the car, and then I'll come back here." She pulled out her tongue. James and I laughed and waited for her to come back.

She came back and gave us all a quick kiss. "I'll phone you when I get there." She smiled and hugged us all. "Good." James chuckled.
"Bye, love you all!" She shouted, before running outside. "Love you too." I mumbled.
My children were growing up so quickly and it made me sad. Alice was already seventeen and Bobby was five! It had gone so quick.
I sat back and thought about the past. It was terrible. Joseph had shot himself and Kayla was given back to her family after weeks of slavery and torture. It was on the news and I was happy for Kayla. But I discovered her auntie was Kayleigh and I didn't know Kayleigh had a sister.
I switched on the TV and flickered through the channels. I finally settled with the News.
"At least five minutes ago, a horrific accident occured in Jaffa Town. A red car had carried a family of four. Including; two children and two adults. The other car, which was purple only had the driver in. The driver looks around her late teens and has brown, long hair. In the back of the car, was loads of boxes. She could've possibly been moving house. We will get back to you in a bit."
I stared at the screen in shock as it turned on again. Breaking News everywhere. Tears dribbled down my cheeks as James walked in.
"James. She's gone. Alice is dead." And it hurt just saying that.

A Broken World [Rewrite]
In a world of floating islands of stone in the sky, where rivers flow through the air and defy gravity from one island to another, and ancient ruins can be found containing wonders beyond what can be produced by the lands current inhabitants- a millenia long war rages. In the distant past, beyond recorded history, when the crown of humanity's glory, the city of Uri, had stood whole against the enroaching demon swarms- even as hope seemed lost, a band of heroes, against all odds, managed to steal powerful magical knowledge from the demons. With the demon's forbidden knowledge, in the heart of Uri a new ritual was made. Called, "The Millenial Summoning," the ritual had the power to call a being from another world that would have the power to change the world forever. The first being summoned became known as "The Speaker," and he brought the power of the Gods to the world. With the blessings and power of the new priests, the unstoppable demon hordes were finally halted. A thousand years later, the ritual was used again and "The First Sorceress" was brought to the world. She brought the knowledge of advanced magics, and techniques to find and refine magical talent. With the magic power now added to the battlefield, the stalemate was broken. And for the first time, the demons were pushed back. Another thousand years later, and all of humanites hope for a final victory were dashed. Traitors slew the ritual's participants and took their places, and humanity quaked as The Demon King stepped into the world. His name, his nature, where he came from none of these are known, but what is known is his overwhelming power and his brilliant strategic leadership of the formerly formless hordes. Still, despite their position being even more dire than it has ever been since history has been recorded, humanity held on for another thousand years. Aided, thankfully, by The Demon King not taking the field after the first few years and battles. Now, the ritual is being cast again and a new hero is being summoned. In our world, after nearly three decades of study and hard work, Lucas Jaeger is making his dreams come true. With a double doctorate in both genetics and microbiology, as well as an associates degree in accounting, he has finally, after nearly driving himself mad from stress and sick from overwork, been able to put to together a presentation and ask for a business loan. His long time dream, earned by his own blood and sweat, to start his own commercial genetic company is finally coming to fruition. Lucas's car never left the banks parking lot and Lucas was never seen again in our world. This is a rewrite of "A Broken World." It is basically the same story, just a thousand times better and with decent length chapters!

Hazelsong: A LitRPG Novel
Release Schedule: I will be moving to a set release schedule as of 1/1/2022. A new chapter will be released every Saturday at Noon EST. If I have time that week for a second chapter, I will leave a note on the Saturday chapter and post the second chapter on Sunday at Noon EST. An up to date character sheet for the MC Erik will also be posted on Sundays at 12:15 PM. If life happens and I am for some reason unable to write that week, I will post a blank chapter giving you an update on where I am with my writing. Saturday Noon EST: First weekly chapter Sunday Noon EST: Second weekly chapter (if I have the time) Sunday 12:15 EST: Updated character sheet Synopsis: Years after surviving a deadly accident, Erik struggles to come to terms with his painful disability. When offered the chance to playtest the world's first full immersion VRMMO, he wants nothing more than to retreat back into his secluded life, until he learns what Hazelsong really offers. An escape from the pain. Hazelsong is a world of magic and adventure, a place where friendships are formed, loot is won, and glory and fame are there for the taking. While the threats feel real and the stakes are always high, there is only one thing Erik is really in danger of. Forgetting which world is actually real. Story Themes: Hazelsong is a LitRPG novel that not only explores the fictional world of a realistic online fantasy realm but the life of a man suffering in silence from chronic pain and PTSD due to a significant physical injury and disability. Mental health is an important subject and we all know at least one person in our lives who has or is dealing with some form of mental illness. I plan on putting my best effort forward to represent these illnesses in a fair and accurate manner. Not as a cheap plot device to help make the protagonist more unique, but to help paint an accurate picture for those of us who have been lucky enough to not have to suffer in silence. About the Author: I am Ash Durra, general video game nerd and a connoisseur of fantasy and sci-fi of all shapes and sizes. Needless to say, I am not a professional author (B.S. and M.S. in Education, 8 years teaching). After really getting into LitRPG novels over the past several years, I found my way to Royal Road, which has inspired me to use my spare time to begin writing a story of my own creation. As this is a hobby, I am not writing and posting chapters on any kind of specific schedule at the moment, though my goal is to post on average 1-2 chapters a week. I am incredibly excited to share this story with others as I write it, and I look forward to any constructive feedback about how I can improve in my writing.
