"We tried tracking down her phone, but I'm sorry, we couldn't find out where she is. Either her phone is turned off or you gave us the wrong number."
I look down in disappointment. I can't believe that chance has just blew away. I stand up and shake the mans hand.
"Thanks."
"No problem. Come back tomorrow, same time." He says before heading off.
I go outside where I see a gang of girls. Kayleigh's gang. Maybe she knew about the kidnapping that Daisy had to experience a couple of days ago. I run over to them.
"Where's Kay?" I question.
They look up at me and a girl stands forward, facing me.
"I'm glad your here!" She shouts, pulling me into their crowed.
"I don't have time! Where is she!" I demand.
"We were walking down the street.." "WHERE IS SHE!" "Wait, I still need to tell you what happened so you can find Kayleigh!"
I look down. "We were walking down the street. She suddenly stopped as a car drove past. Some girl was banging on the car window. Then she took off."
Oh god..that must be Daisy! "Which way did she run!"
"Down South Street." I thank them and run as fast as I could.
I approach the quiet street and see a car I recognise. I run up and see Daisy's belongings. SHE'S HERE! I run down the path, banging on the doors.

Daisy's POV
I get up from my laying position and see James banging against the door. This was my chance! I bash on the windows to get James' attention but Jospeh pulls me to the ground.
"Babe, I'll hurt Kayleigh if James sees you." He pushes a strand of hair away from my face.

I sigh. It's either Kay getting a few cuts and bruises and then escaping or Kay getting cuts and bruises and also getting murdered.
"JAMES, GET THE POLICE NOW!" I yell, crawling away from Joe but he grabs my legs and pulls me towards him.
"I warned you." He demands, pulling me up and dragging me to the dungeon.
He gets a belt from the higher shelf and and grabs Kayleigh's arm. I close my eyes and hear the sound of desperate, painful cries and screams. I wanted to cry. My best friend going through what I went through was dreadful.
"See what you've done." Joseph whispers, rubbing my wet cheeks with his thumb.
He picks me up as I gasp and takes me to his bedroom. What is he doing? He throws me on the bed, ripping his t-shirt off and going on top of me.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" I scream and cry. He ignores me, pressing his lips against mine.
"STOP!" I mumble as loud as I can.
He forbids and moves his hand slowly down my t-shirt. I shiver.
I had to be stupid enough and lie. I had to make a plan, so I could escape this rape situation!
I smirk. I kiss him back forcefully, allowing him to move his hand around my body and I move my hand across his tanned six pack. This was disgusting but I had to keep my act.
"Babe, you're enjoying this?" He questions, unzipping the zip of my jeans.
I nod, unzipping his too. I wouldn't let him go too far though, I don't want to lose my virginity to a phyco path like him.
"Get me a drink. Then we can carry on." I whisper, letting him move off me. Once he's left the room, I pull my jeans up and pull my top down.

"Actually, I'm hungry!" I shout. "Make me a sandwich too!" He laughs as I roll my eyes and sneak to the dungeon. I can see Kayleigh crying.
"Shh." I put my finger over my mouth and she nods.
I grab the key and unlock the handcuffs, so she's free. We both go to the door, but we are caught by a shirtless man showing his tanned six pack and holding a drink...
"I want one!" Kayleigh whispers, looking at me.
"Um.." I mumble, looking away from Kayleigh.
"Where were you 2 going?" He shouts, grabbing his shirt of the radiator and putting it on.
"No where?" I fake laugh, trying to be kind to him. I go up to him and hug him. Kayleigh was a bit speechless though. She didn't know what was going on.
I hold his hand and look at Kayleigh. "We love each other."

Ancient Bones: The Changed Ones book 1 (Post-Post Apocalypse LitRPG)
Is it truly an RPG Apocalypse... if no one can see the RPG? Generations after the Fall, Mankind has achieved a balance in a world it is no longer the master of. But your prospects in this Malthusian world are limited. Johanna Milton and her friends have an answer: delve into Ancient ruins, avoid Changed beasts and mana pockets, and salvage Ancient materials, collectibles, and trinkets to sell. It pays well if you avoid the perils of the Ancient world. But when they find the skeleton of an Ancient, their lives take a strange turn. Suddenly, Talents straight out of fantasy novels become theirs. While they try to make sense of what happens, eyes turn to them, to the four who seem to break all rules. Or are they merely following them? Because, in the Beyond where he's spent 150 years waiting, one dead Ancient knows the truth. Douglas Moore has played those games often enough when he was alive to make sense of the System that rules the Changed world. He can no longer act on his own, but he has access to the Interface. And four people for which he can bring whatever it takes to face the world. Change is coming. The Changed Ones is a slow-burn litrpg fantasy trilogy (Ancient Bones, Ancient Books, Ancient Bonds) set on Earth, 150 years after the RPG Apocalypse... which mostly failed. It is an homage to the venerable ancient RPGs of the Golden Box era, the Baldur's Gates, and many others, offering adventure where You must gather your party before venturing forth. Keywords: LitRPG, realistic setting, low-leveling, post-post-apocalypse, fantasy earth, slow-burn, secondary POVs, female primary MC, team adventure, worldbuilding. Trigger warnings: casual swearing, adult innuendo (no explicit scenes whatsoever, though). Oh, and potentially a bit of politics. Bonus content: a Litrpg Easter Egg hunt. With lots of eggs across the book, some easy, some hard to find. Current score: 6/20 (20 eggs, 6 found) Publication schedule: on hold until September for book 2.
