Stormy Night
Naomi narrowed her at her friend Julia, “Then talk.”
Julia looked at her, “I can’t.”
Naomi stood, her chair scraping the wooden floor, “What do you mean, you can’t!”
Julia slammed her fork down on the table, “I CAN’T!”
An arm when over Naomi’s stomach tugging her into a hard warm body she knew too well. “Baby calm down.”
Naomi did, she sat down in Sebastian’s lap. When she felt his hand on her thigh rubbing circles she smiled. “Fine we'll come to you last.” She turned to Sebastian’s father, “I want to know what you know.”
Sebastian’s father’s dark eyes looked up at her, “I got a call from my old friend Dean.” Naomi flickered her eyes over to Julia when she heard the woman take a gasp in. Julia was not expecting that, her eyes looked around. Had Dean set her up? Instead of worrying she refocused on the man that held everyone attentions. “He said that you and Julia were not who you said you were.”
Naomi and Julia both snapped their eyes to the man, maybe Naomi was not being so truthful about telling Sebastian everything in her past. Just then Giovanni’s eyes meet Naomi’s eyes then when to Julia’s, “Are you guys agents?”
Julia looked at Naomi, “We are.”
Naomi snapped her eyes, to Julia. “Yes, but you are something else also, are you not Julia.” Julia knew that look, Naomi had done it every time she wanted something out of a subject.
Julia turned her eyes cold, the same way Naomi was looking at her. “Yes.”
Naomi eyes turned colder than they already were, they were agents but not the kind Giovanni may have thought they were. “Do you have kids?” The question was threw at Naomi from Giovanni.
Naomi looked at the man, “No.” Her eyes went to Julia. “Time to spill.”
Julia leaned back in her chair, “I was hired by Dean and you're father Alexander.” Julia felt something fly across her face and she out of instance moved before the knife Naomi had throw was, in the soft skin of her check.
Naomi glared at her, “A double agent. What is wrong with you?”
Julia glared at her, “Me? You are not innocent in this Naomi. I saw what was in that box, I saw what you did.”
Naomi’s eyes widened, “You went into my house.” Naomi’s eyes darkened, “What did Dean want?”
Julia chuckled, “That’s the funny part I don’t have a fucking clue. You're father on the other hand just wants to expand his operation.”
Naomi’s eyebrow raised, “How does he plan on doing that?”
Julia smiled, “With you married to Sebastian, he’s slick some of a bitch. I am sure he would find a way. My mission from him was to get you with him, but you sort of did that all by yourself.”
Naomi glared at her, she hated the smile that went across her face. “Jeffrey. Abigail.”
Julia’s smiled whipped on her face and Naomi almost smiled. Jeffrey leaned back in his chair, everyone was silent. Jeffrey parents hadn't even said a word throughout this whole thing. They sat there quietly, Sebastian stopped rubbing circles on her back. Naomi knew he was confused, hell she was confused.

Sebastian’s parents just sat there, not knowing what to say. Her and Julia had fucked up their calm life. Or so she thought.
Julia turned to Giovanni, “You and Dean did something together right?”
Giovanni looked at her, “Yes, I guess you could say he has me under him.”
Julia nodded, “That’s why you believed him, well most of what he said was true. Naomi and I am both agents the evil kind you could say. Naomi does not have any children, I am - was hired to make sure that they get everything he wants. What ever the hell that is.”
Naomi picked up another knife, and Julia notice her eyes snapping to her. “Abby?”
Julia’s eyes and face went cold, “You don’t have to worry about her anymore. She is relevant, you should worry about yourself. Dean will not stop, your father yes, Dean no.” Julia turned to Giovanni, “I suggest you clear anything you have with Dean and don’t ever go back down that road.” She turned to Jeffrey and his parents the man’s sad eyes nearly killed Julia, but she didn't let that show. “I am sorry.”
Julia went to get up, but stopped when she heard the familiar sound of a gun click. Naomi stood there with her triad mark gun. The blue gun shined when the sun hit it, “Abby?”
Julia looked right into Naomi's eyes. “She is gone.” Julia didn’t fear death, it was coming to her and she accepted it with open arms. Julia looked up at Naomi, “I guess we both had blood on our hands.” Julia heard rather than saw Jeffrey walk out the room with his parents.
She watched a tear go down Naomi’s face, “You're right, but the difference is that I never killed innocent kids. She didn’t have a choice right? That’s how it always is.” Naomi lowered the gun.
Julia walked out the door passing Jaffrey not stopping she continued down the stairs and out the door.
Jeffrey could not handle anything else, he left with his parents in tow.
Giovanni looked at his son’s face as much as he wanted to help him, he knew that he had to do this on his own. He took his wife’s hand and walked out the house.
Naomi sat down across from the man she was in love with. She looked up and was meet with dark cold eyes. “You lied.”
Naomi looked down, “I did.”
Sebastian stood and went for a bottle that was in the cupboard. Grabbing two glasses he poured the liquor into the glasses and handed one to her. She looked at it, she knew she could not drink it. Sebastian sat back down, “Where do we go from here?”
Naomi sat back her gun still in hand. She laid it on the table in front of her. “I don’t know.” Sebastian took a drink from his glasses his eyes landed on the gun that was sitting on his wooden table.
Julia pushed open the steel door, her heels clicking on the tiled floor. She walked to the Dean’s office on the way there she stopped and took out her gun. She unloaded the bullets and started walking again. She listened as she dropped each and everyone on the tiled floor that leaded to his office. When the last one hit the floor she was standing in front of his door.

She didn’t even knock she pushed the larger than life door and walked in. He sat at his desk, typing away at his computer, Julia dropped her gun and stared at him. “It’s amazing the control I hold over people.” Dean looked at Julia his brown eyes lifeless. “It would be sad, that is if I didn’t get so much happiness from this.”
Julia glared at the man, “I told them.” Dean stood up, and smiled.
He walked over to Julia taking a locket of her hair into his fingers. “I know. I expected you to.”
Julia eyes widened. “What?”
Dean laughed, “Well you see my little dove, what I want is Naomi. Thought by the time I had gotten into this you were already on a mission to get her with Sebastian. Alexander already set everything up you had a daughter and was getting close to Jeffrey. Naomi was close to Sebastian and they were hitting it off. So I just add meanless task to your list. You did them without complaint, and I waited. I knew this was all going to blow up, and now I am more then sure Sebastian and Naomi will not be a thing anymore.” He walked back to his desk and pushed a button. “Guess what she will need? Me, someone that will listen to her. She just lost her partner and her best friend, you made sure of that. She is about to lose the man she loves and she can’t trust her family.”
The door opened behind Julia but she knew who it was, “It’s my turn Julia. I have you to thank for that.” Dean looked behind her, “You may do to her as you please, just make sure she is dead at the end of the day. Bring me her head.”
Julia felt her hands being tied and turned to meet a man that she knew all too well. He smiled showing off his teeth perfectly white, his hands roamed her body, “Thank you brother, and as you wish.”
The devil, no, she looked back at Dean. She could not tell who was worse. “You're real name?” She looked back a Dean.
He smiled, “You are smart. Who is holding you is Dean. My brother I am Haden.” Julia nodded.
She realized something, she fucked up. Everything that Dean - Haden wanted was happening. She had broken up Sebastian and Naomi, she had made Jeffrey weak. She had blamed everything on the man that was holding her and not on the man that was really at fault. “I’m guessing I am the only person out of all of them that had meet you?”
Dean didn’t smiled, “Does Alexander count? But I don’t have to worry about him.” Julia looked over to the metal box that was on the floor picture were everywhere. Naomi killing people, it was proof that she was a killer. Among the pictures Alexander and Dean sleeping together. It was proof that would end her best friends relationship and leave her open to Haden. Julia ignored everything else in the box, she could not look at it anymore.
She didn’t realize it but she was in the basement again, she looked up at the man and smiled. I guess I earned this huh?”
He didn’t say anything he put his stuff down and went to the closet. Julia laid down on the hard floor closing her eyes. She felt the tears go down her face.
Julia thought back to when she was a little child, her mother's face was bright in her mind. She was happy, she was so happy. Years before she was taken away and her parents were killed, she remembered everything about her parents. Everything, how much they loved each other and Julia wanted that so bad.
How did everything go so bad, she was a child running around being chased by her father that loved her so. The next day their bodies laid on the cold floor that was their living room, their fresh red blood was everywhere. Julia hated her life she did, she listen.
She heard the rain pouring and the thunder crash.
Her mother’s voice filled her.
Little child, be not afraid
The rain pounds harsh against the glass
Like an unwanted stranger
There is no danger
I am here tonight
Little child
Be not afraid
Though thunder explodes
And lightning flash
Illuminates your tearstained face
I am here tonight
And someday you'll know
That nature is so
This same rain that draws you near me
Falls on rivers and land
And forests and sand
Makes the beautiful world that you see
In the morning
Little child
Be not afraid
The storm clouds mask your beloved moon
And its candlelight beams
Still keep pleasant dreams
I am here tonight
Little child
Be not afraid
The wind makes creatures of our trees
And the branches to hands
They're not real, understand
And I am here tonight
And someday you'll know
That nature is so
This same rain that draws you near me
Falls on rivers and land
And forest and sand
Makes the beautiful world that you see
In the morning
For you know, once even I
Was a little child
And I was afraid
But a gentle someone always came
To dry all my tears
Trade sweet sleep for fears
And to give a kiss goodnight
Well, now I am grown
And these years have shown
Rain's a part of how life goes
But it's dark and it's late
So I'll hold you and wait
'til you're frightened eyes to close
And I hope that you'll know
That nature is so
This same rain that draws you near me
Falls on rivers and land
And forests and sand
Makes the beautiful world that you see
In the morning
Everything's fine in the morning
The rain will be gone in the morning
But I'll still be here in the mornin
Julia smiled ignoring the pain she was in, looking up a gun barrel meet her eyes. She closed them. “I am coming mommy, daddy.”
I shot rang in the house, and not moments later Haden had his door open and there stood his brother Dean. In his hand the head of Julia. “Good dispose of it.
His brother nodded and left closing the door behind him.
Naomi looked up at the dark sky, she didn’t know how. But she knew, she looked back at Sebastian and got up, she walked out the door and into the stormy night by herself.
Sebastian sat there and didn’t stop her.

If anyone can figure out what Naomi is hiding from Sebastian. I will give them a dedication. I hinted it, and if you catch on awesome.

To Eli, who lost his parents, was born in a small town named Stathen--in which not a single person of true nobility lives-- and is the only person who seems to have no magical power, the world seems perfectly unfair. Cycles of Ruin
Civilizations rise and fall. Kith build them up and monsters, led by powerful dungeon keepers, bring them to ruin. For three thousand years the cycle has been maintained by the Guild of Chaos and its endless hordes of minions who—in absence of their long lost creators—have taken it upon themselves to keep the realms of the universe in balance. The Guild has grown efficient at this task, but some among its ranks have begun to ponder the utility of a universe that has been robbed of the very possibility of change. Basil von Doom is one such dungeon keeper working for the Guild, leading an army of loyal minions from one conquest to the next; burning civilizations and sifting through the ruins in search of forbidden knowledge that the races of kith were never meant to possess. But having spent more than half a century in pursuit of glory and fame—trying to live up to the legacy of his father—Basil has grown indifferent towards his work. Desperate for a worthy challenge, but bound by his duties as a dungeon keeper, he has turned his mind towards uncovering the ultimate fate of the previous master of his house and the secrets that were buried with him. Now the young Master of House Doom must balance his growing interest in pursuing the trail of his father with the responsibilities that come with running a dungeon in service to the Guild of Chaos. To remain in good standing with the Guild, Basil has even accepted the task of mentoring an apprentice dungeon keeper, a young succubus named Elnora. It is at the tail end of her apprenticeship that the story begins; with a civilization poised to fall—its greatest heroes gathering for one last assault on the heart of darkness—and Basil striking up a conversation with his apprentice that will set into motion the unraveling of the universe. ***This is a rewrite and continuation of my story that was first posted on RoyalRoad a few years ago.

The yuri/GL Is an extremely slow burn one and the focus is more on the relationship dynamics than romance. =====Author Notes===== This is my first writing attempt, and in the spirit of full disclosure, I am not a native English speaker and I am hoping to use this chance to improve my writing. Constructive criticisms are always welcome. I have a full-time job but I would try to keep the releases consistent.

A Girl and her Goat
Chloe Yinara, she’s a countess, she expects to be a marquis in due time, she’s a mage, and she’s staring at a black goat that appeared in the summoning circle when she called for a familiar and took more power to summon then she could have possibly provided on her own. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ There has been a major edit of the first 11 chapters, so anyone who enjoyed the story but couldn't take the spellchecker and other grammar mistakes should give this another shot. I can’t promise that there will be no grammar mistakes, but they will be less common and far less egregious. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ Notes. First for those of you looking at the fact that this story has both the Harem and Female Lead tags I am pleased to relieve your concerns, or disappointed to inform you depending on your tastes, this will not be a reverse harem, Chloe has no romantic interest in boys. Second, I was hesitant to add the Anti-Hero tag, but Chloe certainly dances on that line. Just to prevent any misunderstandings, even when blood and treachery abound and Chloe is at her most amoral this will primarily be a light hearted story.
