Morning Coffee

Meeting A Greek God...

Every morning Naomi did the same thing, she would walk the same two blocks from her apartment to a little shop on the corner. She would order a coffee and sit at the table in the back, and open her book for the month. Next to her she heard the chair scrape across the tiled floor, her brown eyes looked in the direction. No one ever sits there, the voice in her head told her. Though sure enough when she looked in the direction, there sat a man. His black hair was shaggy and around his face, making it hard to see what he looked like. His strong jaw stood out, you could tell he was built under his shirt. He is dressed nicely in a blue buttoned down shirt and black pants with dress shoes, his suit jacket on the back of his chair. As if feeling the stare of the woman next to him.

Without even looking up,“Do you need something?” His deep voice shock little Naomi. She didn't know what to say, her embarrassment from being caught staring was a bit much for her; it had her words stuck, unable to come out. After what seemed like forever to her, the man heard the little soft voice of the black haired beauty.

“I'm sorry.” Her words barely louder than a whisper, and at first she wasn't sure if he had heard her “It's just... no one ever sits there.” That made the man chuckle, his mind was thinking back to the last month.

He looked at her brown eyes, they were breathtaking to him, he had to stop himself from staring into them. “Are you so sure?” He deep voice rang in the air. “This has been my seat for over a month. I have been sitting here, you just never notice.” He pointed out to the shocked woman.

Her voice louder this time, “Are you sure?” Slipped passed her lips and without even thinking, her hand came up to cover her full lips. To his disappointment, he wish she never covered them for he was thinking of covering them with his own.

His black eyes gazing at her with curiosity, “I am sure.” Naomi never knew a voice from a man could do such things to her body. She had to keep from shaking all due to his deep manly voice. A blush came to her face, thinking of what his hands could make her body do. Shaking those thoughts away, overcome with embarrassment from the ideas that had popped in her mind, she forgot what she was going to say.

She just nodded to the man that she thought was a god. Her eyes turned back to her book, in his mind he was wishing she would turn them to him. Out of the corner of his eyes, he saw her smiling. It made her face light up, and for some reason that made him smile too. He didn't know this goddess or who she was. All he saw was a woman with so much pain behind her eyes he was sure he felt it also; but the smile on her face showed him how much of a fighter this beautiful woman is.

The whole time the two people tried to pretend that the other was not a few feet away. Finding it almost impossible, Naomi got up and took her bag. Throwing her book in even though she didn't even make it to the next page. Her mind was on the Greek god that was just in arms reach, but at the same time so far away. She debated in her mind deciding if she wanted to say something, before her little battle could go on any longer. He spoke, “Going already?” Unable to still form words, she nodded.

Growing a little frustrated, he stood and walked over to her sticking his hand out. “My name is Sebastian, yours?” His hand was waiting for hers to fill it. With much difficulty her trembling hand met his.

Her voice was shaky and Sebastian didn't miss that. “N-Naomi.” With that, the black hair beauty rushed out the shop and to her house. After getting home and being able to calm her heart down, she looked back on the morning. Back on the man that look as if angels had made him then dropped him from heaven. Her mind raced with thoughts but one stood out, “Sebastian.” She whispered to the empty house.

Sebastian watched as the woman turned her back to him and ran. With the look of disappointment clearly on his face, he made his way home farther away from the quiet shop that stood on the corner. Where no one ever paid him any attention, he liked it like that. He hated being the center of attention wherever he went, but the people down here either didn't care; or didn't know who the man was, he felt the same way. He didn't care who you were and did his best to stay out of others way; and keep from socializing. Yet he's breaking all of his rules for the black haired and brown eyes of a woman named Naomi. The question bouncing around his head, why? More importantly will he see the goddess tomorrow? He hoped so.

~The Next Morning~

Naomi was unsure of what to do, she could not tell if she wanted to go or stay. She had went to the shop everyday since moving here 3 years ago; so what's stopping her from taking a step out the house now? Surely it's not the man, it can't be. No one has ever had that effect on her in such a way, how could someone that she barely talked to have an effect on the heavily guarded woman. It scared her that someone had indeed took a piece of her wall down, but at the same time it excited the woman; in more ways than one. So she thought it through unknowing what was going through the mind of the man named Sebastian.

He got dressed in a hurry, excited to see the beautiful Naomi today. He didn't know if she would come today or if she was as excited to see him as he was to see her. He was so consumed with his thoughts that he didn't hear his front door open, didn't hear it close and mostly definitely didn't hear his best friend walk up behind him.

Now this is not like my friend, Jeff thought to himself. He would have heard me and would had said a greeting, not once in all these years have I been able to sneak up on him. So instead of scaring the man, he simply sat down at the island bar and called to his friend. “Sebastian, Sebastian..... SEBASTIAN!” Startled Sebastian jumped and turned to face Jeff, who was laughing so hard he could barely stay in his chair. “You should have saw your face, it-it was priceless. Man I wish I had a camera so I could put this in your baby book.” Angry at his friend he simply ignored him and walked to his door to put on his shoes. “Okay I get it, I’m sorry. Though friend what has your mind today?” He knew he could tell Jeff and not have it out to the press. For all he knew nothing would come of him and the woman from the shop.

So he turned and faced his curious friend. “A woman.” Was all he said, he knew if he said more it would sound as if he took in every detail of the beauty and between him and his mind only; he did. His friend smiled at the man.

He put a hand on his shoulder, “Tell me about her?” He wanted to, Sebastian's eyes wandered over to the clock. He still had a good hour before she would be there.

So he nodded and led his friend to the couch, “She has these beautiful brown eyes that sparkle, long black hair with red streaks. Her skin is a light chocolate.” He was describing her as if she sat in front of him. “She's not tiny, nor is she huge. More thick, her lips are full. Her nose is like a button. From what I can tell she loves books to the point she does not know the surroundings around her. She is truly a goddess Jeff.” His friend looked at him.

Yes he has fallen in love, with her looks; I hope it's with her personality also then maybe he can finally be happy. Jeff thought. “I am happy for you man.” His eyes shine with true happiness and honesty. That made the man smile.

He looked towards the clock and back at his longtime best friend, “Thank you man. I will talk to you later, I am going to go see my beauty.” He got up and put on his suit jacket and headed out the door, hoping that the beauty came to the shop today.

His friend followed him, out the door, to his car, in the passenger seat. Sebastian looked at his friend with a raised eyebrow. “I'm coming with, I won't sit with you. I'll be a few seats away and I promise to keep quite.” The look in his friend eyes was telling him that he was not going to give up.

Sebastian gave up instead and nodded his head to Jeff. “Fine please let me talk to her, she is very shy and was barely able to tell me her name yesterday.” He told the man next to him.

His eyebrows raised and a smile came onto Jeff's face. Making the man look younger, the boys were both in their early 20's. With looks that any man would envy, though they did not flaunt it. Sebastian could see the shop just up the street, as he drew closer to the quiet shop. He could see her through the glass window. His heartbeat sped up for the woman he could not wait to see up close again... The boys pulled up and Jeff got out first. He took a seat like he said he would, two tables away from his beauty. Sebastian was the next to get out and walk in.....

Naomi heard the chair next to her move, she heard the man sit down. It took all the power in her not to turn to him, but she did when her eyes moved up in his direction. She was surprised to see him turn and staring right at her.

His hand went up to his thick black hair, he didn't know how much she wished that was her hand. “Hi again.” He was doing his best not to scare the woman, he was an intimidating man to most and he knew that. “I was wondering if you would like to have dinner with me?” He was unsure of himself which you would have never thought Sebastian Pierce of all people would get like that.

Naomi watched him with curiosity no man ever really paid attention to her. So why now and why this man, he was very good looking. Power and money shined in his every move though she could tell he was trying to hide it, she was unsure of what to do. His voice still did wonders to her. Everything in her body was telling her to give into him, that he would protect her. He would not give up on her so she did just that.

She looked at him, “What's your full name?”

Without looking away from her beautiful eyes the man answered, “Sebastian John Pierce.”

The woman then smiled it sounded fitting to her, “My name is Naomi Jaylin Lane, and I would love to go to dinner with you. When?”

Sebastian smiled, “How about tonight can I get your number? I can pick you up at your house.” She nodded writing down her number and address onto the piece of paper.

She handed him the paper and got up, “Have a nice day, boys.” Sebastian was curious as to what she meant. “Your friend over there. He's not too good at ease dropping.” Sebastian turned around and even he had to admit Jeff was noticeable.

Sebastian let out a laugh that got his friend attention, “We've been caught man.” That made Jeff laugh also, he got up and went to the black haired beauty.

Jeff towered over her, but even then his 6'1.” frame did nothing when Sebastian stood at the height of 6'8. “Jeff is my name sweetheart.” She laughed. He had did a bow and even then his head still didn't make it down to hers.

She took his hand in hers, “Naomi. You guys both are very tall, but considering I’m only 5'5 I guess that does not say much.” The boys smile, “Well bye Jeff and I hope to see you tonight Sebastian.” With that Naomi walked out excited for her date tonight with the Greek god. So excited she practically ran home to start getting ready.

Sebastian was just getting home when he walked in a surprised sat on his sofa; well more like a burden. “Tiffany may I ask what are you doing in my house, more importantly how did you get into my house?” His voice made her head turn to him, a smile graced her face.

Tiffany had got up and was walking closer to him, “Your father let me in, though your mother told me to get lost.” Sebastian laugh at that, his father Giovanni has been trying to set them up for years. His mother Grace on the other hand hates her and her mother.

He walked into his dining room where his parents sat, “Mother, Father.” The anger in Sebastian's voice was noticeable. “Father how many times do I have to tell you she and I are never getting back together. More importantly what are you doing here, and why did you let her in my home.” Sebastian glared at his father.

His mother clapped, “Oh thank god.” Her clapping was stopped when Tiffany parents walked in.

Her mother put her nose in the air, “There is nothing wrong with my daughter Sebastian you should be proud to call her yours.” Sebastian’s mother scoffed.

While he just laughed at the woman, “Well I’m sorry, well no I’m not. I don't want your daughter so please give up. Now if everyone with excuse me I have a date to get ready for with a real woman.”

Jeff came in munching on food he nodded, “I saw her and damn, and when I say she is a woman, she is.” A smile came onto Sebastian mother’s face.

She came over and hugged her baby boy, “I hope she makes you happy, and tell me about her sometime. You are a man now and do not let your father stand in the way of love. If he does call me, I'll teach him a lesson.” The larger man looked down at his tiny mother. He felt the love and hugged the tiny woman; to the point where she was hitting him because she could not breath. He laughed and showed Tiffany and her parents out, his father didn't even look at him or utter a word in the man's direction. He was okay, with that he would not let the old man put a frown on his face, when he was going to see a smile on hers; and so he went upstairs to get ready for his date with the black hair beauty.

Naomi choose a simple black knee high dress. Looking in the mirror she felt she looked like a fat cow, why is he asking me out the line repeated in her mind over and over again. Yes she felt like a cow but it was the only dress she had. Money was short and hard to get for her, but she still wanted to look nice. Putting her hair in curls she added simple make up to her face, grabbing her black high heels she was ready to go. Now all she had to do was wait for him and prey that this dress was not for nothing.

Sebastian was dressed in a blood red shirt that was unbuttoned at the top. The shirt made his eyes stand out, and her wore a pair of black jeans that fit nicely on him. He was dropped dead gorgeous, sexy and hot. Well that what Naomi heard from the woman around them all night. Sebastian had took them out to a very nice place and even the calm man was starting to get angry. When he looked up he saw the hurt on her face, to him she was beautiful but to herself she was ugly. You have no right sitting at the same table with this man, the voice in her head said. Naomi agreed, Sebastian could see the battle in her eyes so he did something about it. He stood his height making the woman around them squeal, and her get even more sad.

He was leaving, she thought. Though what he did even surprised him, he walked over to her and pick the woman up and sat her down in his lap. Pressing his lips to her ear, “You look very beautiful tonight I can't even keep my eyes off of you. You don't know how much I want to take you home and make love to you.” Naomi gasped when she left him through her dress, his hands grabbed her hips and gave them a hard squeeze.

Naomi had to hold in a moan, “Are you ready to order?” She nearly jumped when she heard the voice of the waiter; but Sebastian held her in place, then she remembered she had not got a good look at the menu.

Though he knew what the woman would like, “We'll both have the chef's best.” The waiter nodded and left. “Now where were we.” His eyes were back on the little Naomi.

Her cheeks blush a bright red, “Um... Sebastian were in public.” His deep laugh sent shivers up her spine.

He squeezed her again, “I know, pity, I guess I will have to wait.” He got up and put her back in her seat. “Remember you're here with me, not everyone else. I think you look sexy and you don't know how hard it is holding back. Ignore all of them and just enjoy the night with me Naomi.” He sat back on his seat and looked up at the shocked girl. She nodded to him, loving that he did that for her.

Sebastian sat up in his seat when the food came back, “So Naomi tell me about your family?” He was trying to learn more about this woman, she was so shut out that it was like talking to a brick wall.

He took a bite if his food, and watched her do the same. She looked at him, “Well my mother, um.. how do I put this. She is in prison along with my sister; I only have 1 but I have 9 brothers. My father is a criminal who is in his 'own line of work'. I still talk to my whole family though. How about yours?” Sebastian was shocked that, well about everything that was her life.

Sebastian moved around in his seat, “Well my father owns a few oil company’s, my mother has a few law companies. I have no siblings but my best friend Jeff is like my brother.” He told her for the rest of the dinner they talked about their likes and dislikes dinner was ending and they both notice that they didn't really touch their food. The two did not want to leave each other, well Sebastian didn't want to leave her in this place she called a home.

He could tell it was far from safe, but didn't bring anything up. He knew she was ashamed when she said she wanted to walk home. He refused to let her go home alone in that dress at 3:00am. If she thought he would go for that, then it looks like he will have to show her how much he cared for her. She turned around and faced the man, “Thank you, tonight was amazing.”

He smiled happy she had some fun, “Your beautiful face made my night, I would love to go out with you again. Very soon.” She looked at him, and nodded. “Night Naomi.”

She walked up to her apartment door and looked down the steps at him. “Night Sebastian.” With that, the man watched his newly found woman go into her house.
