Chapter 17.
"Yo' just calm down alright.....no nigga you not gone kill her....ju-just listen to me for one second, you gone find her I'm gone even help you look." Cyn's eyes fluttered open as she saw Calvin on the phone and it sounded as if he was reasoning with someone.
"She couldn't have gotten far..." That's when she realized he was talking about her.
"She left the door open.....you mean everything's gone, the money and drugs yo'..."
"Alright, alright listen, I'm gone be over in a bit alright....okay." He said hanging up and tossing his phone on the couch he then looked over at Cyn shaking his head.
"I lied to em'." He bit his lip running his hands over his head, Cyn stood to her feet as she made her way over to Calvin, she embraced him with a hug as she stood on her tippy toes, Cyn felt his arms wrap around her waist as he rest his head in the crook of her neck.
"Thank you so much Calvin, you did what some people would've never done for me, all I'm asking for is just about five days here and I'll be out of way." She said pulling away as him arms remained around her waist.
"I'm not gone let him get you." He said as she smiled but his face remained still.
"Thank you." He pulled away from her as he took up his keys.
"Food's in the fridge and bathroom the last door down the hall." He said looking back at her as she nodded.
"Got it." With that, Calvin was out of the door.
Cyn sighed running her hands through her hair laying back on the couch. She was gone take the money that she had and flee, it was the only thing she can do plus she didn't want to dig a deeper ditch for Calvin.
Cyn took some clothes out of her bag, and made her way to the last door down the hall, she opened the bathroom and walked inside seeing how clean it was. The bathroom was full white and tiled out white, the counter tops though were sort of a soft beige giving it a different aura, she rest her clothes on top of the closed toilet seat and stepped out of the clothes that she had on now.

Cyn stepped into the tub turning on the shower and gasped as the cold water had hit her bare skin, she spotted a rag in the corner and when she pulled it she noticed something falling out. She picked it up seeing that it was a rubber duck, Cyn smiled noticing what a lucky toddler Calia was, at least she got the opportunity that some never had, she had it once but it was brutally torn away.
had passed until Cyn got up from the television to kitchen in search of something to full her stomach, she walked to the fridge pulling out some whole cut deli with some cheese, lettuce and mayo, she looked through the drawers for a knife and she hadn't found one, pulling out another it only contained a paper, picking it up she saw the printed roses with the gold design and a few hearts, Cyn squinted her eyes unfolding it and beginning to read it,
Dear Nina,
You were my first love, you were my first everything, God knows how much I miss your ass and just waking up to your face was a blessing. Now that your gone, everything came down like a big clash for me, I'm trying my hardest to do what I got to do for Calia. To know that your gone and no longer here with me really made a big set back in my life, thing was when I heard you was pregnant with Cali I realized it was time for me to be man so I went out and brought a ring, a ring that I never got to put around your finger. It pains me day and night to know that my one true love was gone and never coming back. But I tried to hold on every now and then to stay strong for our baby girl, reminiscing every event that had happened that night was like terror for me, even now I still feel as if it all was my judgement.
I never wanted to end up like this Nina believe me and I'm trying to change, I fucked up. Haven't we all? It's hurts to know that I didn't feel good enough unless I'm with my kid, it hurts to know that the woman I wanted to spend the rest of my life with is gone all because of some stupid mistake I made some years back, even though that all that shit happened I want you to know that I'd do anything just to get that night back. "What're you doin'?" Cyn jumped and turned around to see Calvin with a baby in his hand, Cyn quickly wiped her tears as he looked down at her hands realising what she was holding.
"Why are you so nosey?" He smiled.
"I- I'm sorry, I was just lookin' for a knife and this....." Cyn said waving the paper around, he looked at her briefly before looking back to the baby.
"She'd would've made a wonderful mother." He said never taking his eyes off of her who was now playing with the cross on his chain.
"I can see that, is that Calia?" Cyn asked as he nodded.
"Yea, this my baby right here?"
"How old is she?" Cyn asked walking towards him prying her out of his arms.
"She just turned one in April." The corners of Cyn's mouth turned up showing off her teeth as Calia did the same.
"April's my birthday...." Cyn said rocking her as her little hands examined Cyn's face, she was so beautiful and delicate and Cyn felt as if she never wanted to let her go, but she had to cause anything or anyone that ends up in contact with her ended up getting hurt......
days had past and Cyn had seen that her time was winding down. Cyn was on the couch as Cali was laid on he chest asleep, Calvin went out a while ago to get some groceries and she was soon expecting him, as if on que, she heard keys jingling and the door opened revealing him with bags in his hands, he closed the door locking it before walking over to the kitchen and setting down the bags.
"I hope she ain't been much trouble..." He said taking her off of Cyn as she squirmed a bit.
"Not at all." Cyn watched him disappear down the hallway with the baby in his arms and came back empty handed.
"Why you look so down?" He asked.
"You mean considering that I'm about to get killed."
"Stop talkin' like that, not shit gone happen to you, I'm sure of it."
"You never told me what Rodney said?" She mumbled as he sighed propping his elbows on his knees.
"He just completely lost it, I just don't understand his ass, I never did..." He said.
"Did he get anything on my where abouts?" She asked as he shook his head.
"Nah, but at first he was skeptical."
"I'm sick of his stupid ass, I just wished I'd never met him..." Cyn mumbled.
"You wished you'd never met me either?" He asked as those hazel eyes bore into mine.
"It's not like that..." She said lowly.
"Can you please tell me what it's like then?" One thing Cyn learned about Calvin was that no matter how hard you'd tried to dodge him he'd always catch you and right now she was trapped in her own dust.
"I can't...." She looked up at the wall clock seeing that it was around four and she really needed to take a bath. Cyn stood to her feet, just to be caught at the hand.
"Where you goin'?" He as furrowing his brows.
"To bed..." He gave her a simple head nod not bothering to ask why seeing that it was only in the evening.
woke up the next morning to the scent of a burning blunt, she got out of bed and rolled over placing her feet on the floor, she walked out to the living room to see Calvin sitting on the couch with the ashtray in the front of him and his blunt lit between his lips.
"Morning...." she spoke making his head snap towards her.
"Morning." He removed it from his lips and set it down.
Things were silent for a good minute as Cyn stood there not knowing what to say or do. It was awkward for a while until she spoke.
"Thank you..." she mumbled.
"Don't bother..." He said shrugging it off, she could sense that he was in deep thought. She knew that if anything were to happen to this man it would be because of her, Cyn thought to herself once again how her mess was fucking up someone else's life. This was where she vowed to get away from him as quick as possible, hopefully without Rodney knowing about their encounter.

"Bastard, surrender yourself!" "You think you can escape our encirclement?!" "An omnicidal fiend like you can only atone in death!" Despite his precarious situation, a young man ignored the union's provocations. His violet robe was in tatters, showing the incredible number of attacks he received, yet there was no sign of injury. Noticing the light smile tugging at his lips, the pursuing heroes warily watched him, cautious of a final attack. It was only by working together that they could corner a monster like him. An arrow pierced the air, beelining towards the young man. A malicious gleam revealed itself in his eyes; he unsheathed his sword, a long, curved blade, and deflected the projectile, spiking it into the ground. The archer's eyes widened before being split in two. He died suddenly and indignantly. The group backed away; their former confidence diminished greatly by the invisible counter. It was then that the young man sighed, his voice full of lament and self-pity. "Being a saint truly is difficult, even the world cannot understand my righteous actions." The expressions of the surrounding heroes turned ugly. Such blatant hypocrisy! Yes, the protagonist is a villain. We don't do morals here. New chaps when I write them
