The sound of guns cocking all around me echoed. I readied my hand on my holster, ready to take it out. "Don't move."
A woman with dark hair and a thin figure stood in front of me only feet away. Her features were fierce and her gun pointed at me, not hesitating to pull the trigger.
I continued to move my hand closer to the gun. "Move and this bullet will pierce right through your head." The sound of the trigger safety hitched. My hand stopped moving as I put both of my hands up in surrender.
That was not my best friend I knew.
I was surprised. It was like someone smacked me in the face. I took a stuttering step back—"Why?"
She looked at me a smiled, a smile that looked too...happy. "Why?" She mocked, chuckling. "It's funny how you seem so...so innocent but you've been training with Bangtan for so long—without even telling me?" She asked as if her feelings were hurt.
"It's okay, I don't care for it anyways. Well, I'll tell you what's going on. Your parents weren't the goody two shoes you thought they were, Y/N."
"W-what?" I stuttered.
"The car crash wasn't an accident. It was revenge."
Revenge? Revenge for what?
"They killed my mom. Why? for a reason I don't know, but I'm guessing she was just as bad as they were." She sighed.
"My mother died when I was in first grade, that was around the time when I met you. Meeting you wasn't the plan—but as I got older, my father told me everything. Everything your family has done, and the reason why my mother left. He told me what he had done to your family, and I had felt bad at first, but I guess I had a change of heart." She smirked.

Like father, like daughter.
I placed my hands to my side as they balled into fists. "So everything was an act to fool me? Everything was fake?" I asked, raising my voice.
Jae-eun chuckled, not answering my question. "A witness of the accident pulled you out. You were suppose to die that day just like your family did. Though, it would've been better if you went with them."
My eyes teared up as she had me speechless. I knew the boys were listening through the comm. Maybe I should've really went with them. There's really no difference now.
No.
There's seven differences now.
"Now, it's time for you to leave, like you should have on that day." Jae-eun's finger rested at the trigger, pointing the gun at me.
I knew that I couldn't do anything now by myself. I couldn't reach for my gun, or run. One bullet travels over 2,600 feet per second—meaning, I would have to be The Flash to run from one.
I took a deep breath, placing my finger onto the comm slowly so she wouldn't notice anything. I really wish it didn't have to come to this.
"Euphoria" I whispered.
"Copy that." Jungkook responded in a matter of seconds.
"You never gave me an answer when I asked if our friendship was real." I stalled as I slowly slid my hand towards the gun.
"Because, if I'm correct, we were friends for what, 14 years? It must've been real, right? Because if it wasn't, you wouldn't have helped me with my panic attacks-" I rambled on and on until she interrupted.
"Stop." She said coldly.
"If it wasn't real, I would've already been dead, right? Why have you decided to kill me now?" I continued, challenging her.
"STOP!" She yelled, her finger steadying on the trigger.

"So what? Show me that our friendship has never been real. Show me that whatever we've been doing has been an act to just fool me." I continued.
"I'll show you." Jae-eun bit her bottom lip before she put on a mask to cover her nervousness. Anger was on her face, but certainty was not.
"Put the gun down or else your brain juices will be blown in less than a second." I looked behind me and found Jungkook standing there, pointing his gun right at Jae-eun.
This moment felt similar to the time where Taehyung stood and aimed his gun at the man that had held me captive.
"I'll shoot!" Taehyung yells.
Jae-eun pointed her gun towards Jungkook. "Oh look! A murderer reunion" She smirked, her voice dripping of sarcasm.
Jungkook seemed confused, and so was I.
"Oh," She tilted her head at Jungkook. "You don't know what I'm talking about? You killed my father a month ago. He was trying to get revenge for my mother. He'd waited so long for a window of opportunity to kill her, but things went sideways because of you two who rudely barged in."
"He tried to kill Y/N and I couldn't let him do that because I-" He paused and closed his mouth all of a sudden.
I looked away from him. "I see. So what I'm getting at is that since both of your parents are just as gone as mine, you want to take over for them, right? You want to get revenge or whatever it is because you feel like you have to, right?"
Her eyes widened, and her mouth hung low.
"It's okay, I've been there, and here I am doing that."
She shook off my comment, "Well, since you're both here, I guess I have to get revenge for one of my parents." She said, before pulling the trigger, the deafening sound echoed throughout the whole warehouse.
No.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I pushed myself off, running as fast as Jimin and towards Jungkook.
Before the bullet could pierce through him, I pushed him out of the way.
I heard screams travel throughout the warehouse which could've been heard throughout miles.
But it wasn't just anybody's scream, it was my own.
I clutched at my chest as my hand was bloodied. My knees buckled and I closed my eyes to hit the hard impact of the floor—but I didn't hit the hard ground.
I was caught into Jungkook's arms, worry etched into his face, and a teardrop cascading down his cheek as I wheezed.
"Fuck, I messed up, Namjoon." I heard him say faintly.
I hadn't realized when the rest Bangtan got here. I heard Namjoon order Jimin and Hoseok to go find Jae-eun since they were the fastest runners of the group.
She ran.
I wanted to sleep, my eyes slowly drifted off into its abyss. "No, no, no, no," Jungkook panicked.
"Stay with me, princess." He smiled, tears continued to pool his eyes as he cupped my face.
"Princess," I muffled. "I loved that nickname." I shot him a smile.
"I-"
"What?" Jungkook asked, his breathing fastened.
"I lov..."
And the darkness came.

Tim the Engineer
Summoned against his will to a world of swords and magic, an engineering student struggles to find a way home under the shadow of a world devouring threat. ***************************** Updates: 5/13/19: Revisions to several chapters for clarity, grammar, and style. 4/29/19: A short side story and artwork has been added to the blog. 4/8/19: A Side Story has been updated on my new blog (every writer is required to have one). https://talesfromliahar.wordpress.com/ ***************************** “The summoning scenarios are broken down into groups of ten.” Emi Ito stated. “Don’t, don’t you dare say another word.” Muttered Genzo Uchida. His eyes had turned bloodshot and his hands shook with rage. “The first thirty…” “Shut up!” Genzo bellowed “How dare you help these disrespectful gaijin?” Flecks of spit and madness flew from his face, his fist raised ready to strike. But Emi did not flinch, instead she was about ready to continue when Yuma Takeuchi interrupted her. “Uchida, please,” her sweet sounding words could melt ice. “I think we will have a better chance of getting home if we all work together.” When she glanced up with her sleepy looking eyes at Genzo Uchida he deflated visibly. “Were not getting home.” Uchida said coolly. “Group summoning, large, that puts us in the 60 series. No one came to greet us after five minutes of arrival. That leaves scenarios 68 and 69. In scenario 68 there is something that binds the large group together; they are all classmates or a single family. But thanks to the gaijin” he spit out the word “I think we are scenario 69 with no way home.” Ikko Inoue’s eyes went wide, while Katsukno and Hayata started muttering to themselves. Tim took on a serious look and rubbed his scruffy chin. Emi maintained her stoic expression while trying to find something to refute. McKenzie glanced at Randall and giggled. Randall took the prompting of his teammate and followed up by approaching Genzo. “Uh, so we are in a sixty-nine?” “Yes.” Replied Genzo with the seriousness of someone who’s life was about to end. McKenzie covered her mouth and snickered. “You and me, were stuck in a sixty-nine situation?” Randall pushed with a grin. “Yes, we are all stuck in a sixty-nine scenario together!” Genzo retorted in anger. McKenzie fell on her butt laughing. “What the hell is so funny?” Demanded Genzo, whose face had turned red. “It’s a problem with the automatic translation.” Retorted Tim. Randall, who seemed unable to quit started in again “So, about this sixty-ni…” Genzo interrupted Randall with a swift punch to the face. But, because of their height difference it was a bit of an uppercut that left Randall rattled. Tim and Ikko moved to step in between the two, but Genzo showed no further hostility. Instead he just stared at his clenched fist with such intensity it grabbed the attention of the room. “I unlocked a skill.” He said bluntly. ***************************** This is not a light novel, but people who like light novels should enjoy the themes of this book. ***************************** A Map of the Region

Elrich Saga Yellow Springs Book One
A young college student gets killed and accidentally saves the world. As thanks, a group of gods decide to give him a second life. They send him to Elrich, a world with monsters, demons, and where adventures await. However, his goddess liaison is a bit of an airhead and messed up his reincarnation. What sort of place awaits him in this world full of danger and uncertainty? This world is harsh, not at all the fantasy fluff and harems he'd imagined. Will he be able to keep his sanity with death around every corner? This story has LGBTQ friendly themes. It touches on drug use, child molestation, rape, children committing murder, death sentencing as a form of punishment, and questioning one's sexual identity. There are some harsh themes, since this is meant to be a harsh world. Some themes touch upon the MC directly, the others happen to secondary characters. I try not to go into too graphic of detail and I believe that this story is 16+ friendly. I promise that these themes tie together in the end to make a cohesive whole and are used to provide back story for later developments.
