《That Isn't My Imaginary Friend(Cancelled)》5: Zane Fog, The Caring
Advertisement
Concerned students chattered about the recent news of a recent murder from a serial killer who is very well known around the place they all live in, Zane not interested in this subject focused on improving his knowledge skills since he wanted to become an engineer in tbe future.
The burning heater that cooled the students wasn't working at the moment so every student tucked their shivering selves into their pleasant feeling coats, Zane pulled the zip on his coat up to his chin, pulling over the hood, blocking the chaotic view around him.
"Zane!" A familiar voice called out to Zane, reaching his field of vision even before he jolted his head up just an inch, the loud but calm voice came from a gleeful Ryan "Come to the library with me!" Ryan begged, shaking the desk around infuriatingly.
"What's with you and Angela invading my privacy lately?" Zane moaned, feeling the tingling pain around his upper arm after Ryan clenched onto it to desperately pull Zane up onto his resting feet.
Ryan ignored the question and paid more attention to dragging Zane into the library to hang out with for the day, after some exhausting movements, Ryan eventually brought Zane into the library where they sat in a roundabout comfy chair made out of green wool, which was containing a shelf of educational books while being cornered by seven-foot-tall bookshelves.
Silence deafened inside the modest library to the point everyone inside could hear the rapid or collected heart thump a few times before becoming completely unheard.
"How do you not freeze to death when you're only just wearing a coat?" Ryan quietly asked, sounding baffled behind the words as he stared right through Zane's soul with his dim, sunny eyes.
"Well, you'll get used to this kind of temperature when you grow up in the cold," Zane answered, reading an educational book about the Three World Wars that occurred before his lifeline.

"Now I want to explore the place you lived in" Ryan whispered, dragging out the obnoxious words.
"I don't think you would after you see its shambles and toxicity" Zane responded in a calm tone, turning the paper to the other side of the book to read more about the dreadful history.
Ryan checked out the book, reading the bold, fat fonts on the front of the book that read "History of The Past Three Brutal Wars".
"What's so interesting about the past battles?" Ryan curiously asked, setting his eyes back on Zane again.
"It's interesting, it explains why the human population was at seven billion and now to around 1 billion after World War Three ended the long eight-year battle" Zane explained, not taking his eyes off the book in the explanation.
"Ok, anyway, can we talk about Angela please?" Ryan asked politely, grabbing Zane's awareness instantly as he placed down the book passive-aggressively.
"What about her?" Zane quickly questioned.
"I know she's like a kind of friend towards you but the recent actions she is portraying doesn't label her as one of your close friends" Ryan respectively acknowledged.
"What are these so-called actions?" Zane inquired once again.
"These actions are disgusting in the way. Every time she's around you or you are mentioned, her face turns bat shit red, and her eyes dilate insanely massive" Ryan explained clearly, but Zane didn't seem to be fazed from this new information.
"Yeah, she's like that around me a lot and sure, it weirds me out but I allow it because I was the only person who made her get all the courage she has now. I guess that's her way of thanking me" Zane calmly replied, saying it in words like he's completely ok with Angela acting insane around him.

"You're the dumbest person I've met" Ryan abruptly spewed out in a shocked reaction state.
"Hey, I'm a human here, we aren't some immortals running around in tight suits that suck the living shit out of our skins shouting cliche phrases" Zane snapped back, taking Ryan's words to the heart.
"Yeah, a retarded human, like what the fuck" Ryan struck back.
After a few words fired at each other, the day ended with Zane heading home.
The sounds of a screaming knob turned around gradually, being followed by the sound of the door cranking open to a dark, empty room, then the flip of the light brightened the empty room, revealing it to be cramped with boxes on boxes.
Ryan entered the room with a serious expression on his face, he took off his coat and hung it on the coat hanger near the exiting door, he pulled out his phone as he took his feet out of his comfy feeling shoes to look at some messages that seemed to be from his family members.
"When would there be actions on that boy?" A high pitched male voice asked out of thin air.
"There are no reasons to have actions on Zane. He is my closest friend" Ryan countered, turning his head towards a glow of light that surrounded a skinny, slim fully white male.
"But he has a shadowy figure within him" The voice pointed out.
"Yes, he does have a shadowy figure within him but I sense no real danger in that shadowy figure. And besides, I don't want to experience the painful soul Zane has again" Ryan choked out.
"I'm only focusing on Angela, she's the real dangerous one here. I don't want her hurting my close friend" Ryan growled, aggressively untying his black, silky tie.
Ryan wasn't a spy who was designed to unravel all the secrets Zane is hiding away.
He was a friend who had the special abilities to read a person's imaginary friend, and it took him some time to get used to Zane's shadowy figure lurking around in Zane's broken shadow.
Ryan appreciated Zane for his hard work and some shadow wasn't going to stop him admiring a friend he enjoys to hang out with.
He is a protective friend, he is a caring friend.
