《That Isn't My Imaginary Friend(Cancelled)》2: Zane Fog, The Hidden Rage

Joyful students stormed through the town centre, keeping their balance in the tough, life-sucking snow that rested over the night, reaching the ankles of Zane who was reading a Newspaper about the snowstorms that unexpectedly came out of the blue.

Distracted in his mysterious world he didn't notice the time he was depending on to get the bus in the morning so he could arrive at school early.

Surprised by the time, Zane jolted in action and ran through crowds from incoming students, nudging a few students from his vigorous reacting tripped him up a little, Zane descended towards the snowy ground but prevented himself by yanking his balance back from placing his right hand onto the ground, giving himself a lift.

Zane spun in a 360 clockwise turn and continued his chase for the leaving bus, Zane not wanting to be late kicked up his running paste more which helped him out extraordinarily.

The bus door was about to slide shut when Zane jumped onto the edge of the bus entrance, gripping onto the perfect placed pole for this moment, immediately feeling all parts of his bones ache in pain as he pulled himself up from a flopped backwards position.

Groaning in pain, sweat poured down on his flushed up forehead, Zane gradually and painfully used up all of his muscle strength in his arms to snatch back his balance.

"S-Sorry for the scene" Zane tiredly apologised to the speechless bus driver, a forced awkward smile formed on the driver's face as his hand crunched up in a ball, popping out the thumb.

After this useless moment, Zane wandered up the top of the bus not noticing Angela was at the back of the bus watching the whole thing, seeming motionless in her once brightened up eyes.

Warmth filled the top keeping Zane all cool as he smelt his nasty tinder sweat flood his red, freezing nose.

A beeping sound blurted out through Zane's fur-lined coat, Zane dug through the deep empty pocket, grabbing onto something hard he questionably pulled out, it was his phone where he received a message from someone named Ryan Robertson.

"Hey Zane, where are you right now?" Ryan messaged.

"I'm on the bus, why?" Zane messaged back.

"Oh, you're on the bus? I'll wait for you at the entrance of the school" Ryan instantly responded.

"Ok...is something up that I need to know?" Zane messaged confusedly, Ryan never really messaged him unless it was for important work, they were work buddies.

"Nothing is up at all, just want to congratulate you on getting 90%!" Ryan replied.

"Yeah whatever you suspicious moron" Zane jokingly messaged back

"Being kind makes someone suspicious now," Ryan joked.

Zane cackled upon reading this message before tucking his phone back in his warm pockets he later on used for his icy hands.

The destination eventually came to the eye, stopping right at the entrance of the massive school, Zane reacted by quickly jumping up from his chair and strolled down the stairs following a long line of other students outside the bus.

Pandering across the unknown faces, he detected a recognising face, it was a tall male that has the same height as Zane, having a slim, slender body type hiding under his blonde curly hair, his glowing amber eyes and Zane's grey dull eyes met each other.

"There he is!" Ryan chirped before charging at Zane with a massive, tight hug.

"Alright alright, let go of me" Zane groaned, inconveniently patting Ryan on his skinny shoulders.

Putting the excitement aside, Ryan placed Zane back on his feet comfortably, Zane saw Ryan eye him down like an investigating cop like he was looking for certain clues on something.

"Are you still trying to figure out if I have an Imaginary Friend?" Zane questioned, sounding nasty in his words.

"You read me too easy...you sure you don't have one?" Ryan asked in an annoying cute tone of voice.

"To my not surprising find, I don't have anything up there that will "describe" my personality in a way" Zane immediately answered, throwing exclamation points towards Ryan, almost like he was mocking the topic.

"And that's why it makes you a mysterious person, a very, very mysterious person" Ryan grinned, scratching his chin looking like he was in his thoughts.

"If that's what you wanted to congratulate and brag about, I'll happily excuse myself out of your delusional circle-" Zane spoke out, being rudely interrupted by a certain feminine voice.

"It ain't delusional at all" Angela moaned, grabbing Zane's cold stare that secretly sent chills down Angela's spine "M-maybe?" Angela stuttered.

Zane for some reason couldn't control his cold stares, something about Angela triggers an instant alert mode, selecting the fight instead of flight.

Ryan sneaked between Zane and Angela, placing his hand on Zane's chest to abruptly push him back to avoid any tense moments, Ryan turned towards Angela not meeting her eyes as he shakily bowed down in an apologising way.

"D-don't mind him- h-he's just in a bad mood" Ryan uncomfortably laughed.

"No that's fine, everyone has their bad days" Angela kindly smiled, locking eyes with Zane who didn't look away from her stares a single bit.

The air was toxic, the crowds stood still, sweat dripped from Angela's hands who in return clenched them into a tight fist.

This unknown feeling flooded throughout Zane, he didn't know why he felt this way and why Angela out of all people was causing it.

It wasn't his first time for sure, these unreasonable non-trustworthy feelings always happened when Zane met eyes with Angela for a split second.

It was like a hidden abyss rivalry between two powerful things.

This rivalry was from the shadow figures that became a part of Angela's and Zane's shadows, ascending to eleven feet tall, their mouths were jagged and crooked, their fingers were sharp, deadly claws that reached seven inches.

Horns boomed out of Angela's shadowy figure while skeleton lookalike wings curved onto the chest of Zane's shadow.

A hatred between two shadowy figures reached high lengths of new violence levels since Angela and Zane met each other five years ago.

It was caused by hidden rage.
