Journal Entry Four

Twenty-Sixth of Harvest, 1007 FK

With Helmut's Great Spoon Heist job behind us, my Swordmaster decided that I should compete in the Hall's Tournament. Three months of training, and that was when I gave up the drink. Not give up but was forced to stop by Kilroy. He even got Joan, that frustrating but extraordinary woman. If not, Kil's partner, Sebastian, would stalk me to all my drinking havens.

I would pick up a cup of that nectar of the Trinity; then, once I put it down, I would have Kilroy, sword in lap waiting.

With that one sweet drop of ale, cider or even the fiery drink, Electora touches my lips. I would have a triple session with Kilroy, ending with full contact sparring Sebastian. No padding and blunt swords, not to the first touch but exhaustion. The drinking only happened ten times over the three months. It was hard to find work with Joan as she wanted to find jobs that were helpful to the community. I will always be respectful of her for that. Who was in the Reject's then? I, Joan, Way, Gun and Pela with Kilroy as a part-timer and torturer, or most will say, my Swordmaster.

We did find a job to chase down some cattle killings by wolves. We put our Charter down for it and would head off two days after the tournament's conclusion. Little did we know that this would be our next great adventure.

It was later known as the Savage Rebellion…
