I’m very confused. Bewildered. Confounded. Overwhelmed. Disoriented. All of these words make more sense than my thoughts right now. Nova is in her room getting the package (she never told me about!!!) from mom and dad, Solace went home to get the key she found and her sister, (who knows, maybe she's part of this freaky mess too?!?) Jenna is going to get the box her parents gave her, and Quinn is going to find the locket that mysteriously appeared on his doorstep. I guess I am the only normal part of this mess of dead parents, surprise presents, and superpowers.

As I wait, I try to visualize where they all would be. It helps me concentrate and collect my thoughts. I imagine Nova in her room, and close my eyes. In her room, in her doorway, on the stairs, right in front of me. I sigh. “Reagen? Are you ok?” My eyes shoot open and there stands Nova, in the exact place I envisioned her. I let out a little whimper.

I think of the necklace with random coordinates on the back that was a gift from mom and dad. I run past Nova and up the stairs to my room. I scramble to hastily push aside the clothes jumbled under my bed, and pull out the box I have cherished for as long as I can remember.

At the top lies my necklace with two swords engraved on either side, and a circle with arrows revolving around a circle in the center. Suddenly, my vision blurs with spots of color and I see solace and my crush, Emma, standing outside our door. “R!” Nova yells up the stairs. “Solace is back! Come on!” “Oh, no.” I think to myself. “What if I’m not normal too?!!?
