《The World Of Thousands (ENDED)》Chapter Two: I Keep Fainting And I Don't Know Why

World unlocked.
Proceeding…3…2…1.
A blinding light penetrated the room as a man wearing a solemn expression stood by the blue curtains that he had just pulled to the side for the woman to look outside, to see natural lights rather than the artificial blue lights she had seen for the past two weeks, and to feel possibly the last light of her life.
The woman wore an expression of innocence, then it transformed itself into overwhelming happiness and joy as the sunlight shined on her in stripes of orange illumination. Her appearances told as if the mere sight of the light entangled her into swirls of a warm embrace.
The man looked at her with an undoubtedly amorous look that defiantly expressed his tenderness and inclusiveness toward her, the woman he had loved for twenty years.
Twenty years. He could still picture out the exact details of the day when she finally answered his proposal, with a passion bearing a strong similarity to that of his when he could barely walk straight and had to control his hands and leg muscles from twitching. He was simply too shocked and overwhelmed after these long, enduring years waiting for her.
She was like the light of his life. When she first came into his sight, he could barely acknowledge her presence because of her low social status as the daughter of his household’s butcher. However, she was the one who pulled him out of his misery, out of that vicious cycle, and out of that toxic family. She became the one who warmed him with a fire that grew so strong that it almost burned him inside.
His expressions again turned somber from coming back to reality. He couldn’t afford to lose her. Not now, not ever.
But just at that moment, a noisome smell penetrated the air along with a sound directing to the torsion movement of the woman’s stomach.
“DOCTOR! SOMEONE CALL THE DOCTOR!” The man instantly returned to his senses and cried out in shock when he recognized the signs — his wife was in the stage now.
A blue aproned doctor rushed in while rapidly putting on a surgical mask, “When exactly did you sight the movement or the symptoms?” He then proceeded to examine the woman, who was now in a state of unconsciousness with the smile still on her face.

Looking at the woman’s smile that brought him back to the countless days filled with joy and the gaiety of life, the man replied adamantly with a subtle shiver, which went undetected, “It wasn’t long. At most three minutes before you came in.”
The doctor faintly shook his head as if to express the direness of the situation, “I’ll try my best. But I warned you of the consequences. You have to take on the responsibility of your own actions.”
————————————————————————————
It was a long and tenuous time waiting for the protocol to be passed among the uncooperative circle of pundits who all claimed to have profound knowledge regarding a newly discovered pregnancy condition.
“Her condition needs surgery right away! It could not wait! Have you seen that man’s expression? We would lose our jobs and reputation what the hell are you dolts thinking about? We have to take action now!”
“No, this is an extraordinary case that requires thorough research and outlook for more symptoms so we can document it for future uses.”
“I agree with doctor Jew this time. It is not just about money and being famous in the OSTA, but about protecting our heads from falling. This can not wait.”
“No..what-”
Arguments arose and went back and forth between the two doctors who now divided the groups of five into two distinct voices, one advocating for immediate surgery while the other for more sensory observations.
What the actual hell is going on here? Where am I? Why are these dumb looking people beneath me? Wait-, wha-what? Where is my body?
The last thing I remembered was—yeah, fainting. Why did I faint, though?
Clarice, all of a sudden, appeared in the scene from out of nowhere without a physical body. It was like the world had effaced Clarice’s presence, but she could hear and see all the sights within three miles of range. It was awkward looking down to check if her body was still, *cough cough* beneath her. Where else would her body go? She would have a body if she had a head...right?
Wait no, she forgot the fact that her sight was literally “all-round” now. Soooo….there was no need for a head?
So do I have a head or do I not have a head? A head or no head? Head or no head?

Extremely convoluted by the question, Clarice decided that it would be a good idea to float (?) in front of people and see their reactions. She could then figure out if she had a head or not.
Clarice was so determined and single-minded that she acted to her thought right away. As a notorious VIP member in the superficial community for twenty years of her life, Clarice hovered to the scene that contained such a gorgeous and irresistible being, a handsome male, that she almost drooped on the floor, or not because she hadn’t figured out if she had a head or not.
The stunning male was strolling nervously beside the fainting female who was clearly unconscious. Although Clarice couldn’t make out her memories before she fainted, she was utterly shocked at a strong nostalgia she got from the female who seemed to have the face of someone she knew. Specifically, she had a look of someone whom she hated and loved at the same time, but she just couldn’t figure out who it was no matter how much brain cells she tried to use, which wasn’t a lot considering her laziness nature.
While staring at the woman whose face was the exact definition of “sleeping beauty,” Clarice bluntly acted on a whim — she punched through the air with all her might toward the woman. Within the next thirty milliseconds, she found herself in a state of blackness.
Clarice was in bewilderment and extreme confusion when she heard a female, mechanical voice in her head.
Yen has entered the Single Point. Transferring control to System Arpha.
???????????
System Arpha connecting…connected
???????
“Heh?? Arpha? What the heck is Arpha? Is this one of these system thing in these fiction novels about doing assignments to gain powerful abilities? Am I in one of those thingie? I AM SO CONFUSED SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT'S GOING ON.”
Question received. Yen, as of right now, is in Single Point, the largest transferring place of system category A. Yen had been classified into System A as of January 24th, 2020 6:30:20:39-
“Ok, okay stop I get the idea. Actually, no. I don’t. What is Single Point? System A? And what did you call me? Yen???? Like Yin and Yan? The black and white thing?”
You had been chosen as one of the Yen in the World of Thousands. The World Of Thousands, in simple terms, is the name for all the worlds, including parallel worlds and dimensional worlds. We have not evolved to the ability to detect further bounds, so the presence of more worlds is unknown. However, due to my knowledge of your world and your status in our base, your IQ and EQ are in the low possibility of wondering beyond the boundary of the idea of Worlds. We-
Clarice again interrupted the lengthy and extensive explanation because of the last sentence that offended her like a punch in the brain. Wait, she still needed to figure out if she had a head or not. Maybe she should accept her “low IQ and EQ” if she didn’t have a brain? Was she a non-brainer? What was EQ anyways? Epilepsy Quixotic-ness?
I am Arpha, your system, and here to answer your questions. Unfortunately, Yen’s points are too low for time freeze features—time outside runs the same time as time inside this temporary space. Yen’s questions would require a prolonged period of answering. I will now state the rules and Yen’s assignment for Yen to proceed with the outside world.
The Point-Based Policy: Yen would need to earn points under a specific time limit in multiple assignments for one quest. One quest composes of 2-20 assignments that take place in one single world. Single assignment’s points add up to quest points, and quest points contribute to quest rankings. Rank A could obtain all the quest points earned and convert them to system points. The system will take 10% of points earned if Rank B, 40% if Rank C, 80% if Rank D, and 0% with a mark “F” if Rank F. Failing to earn enough points will result in the deduction of points in Yen’s system. Once the points in Yen’s system has reached a negative, Yen will be automatically obliterated.
Yen’s first assignment has been decided for you at this moment:
Assignment 1 Get Sy's love back Time
Twenty Years After Yen's Death
(Clarice's shocked pikachu face: wait nobody told me that I died...from fainting...maybe I had a family history of heart disease that I never knew ._.)
Difficulty Easy Time Limit 7 days Maximum Points (including hidden points) 250
Then Clarice fainted for the second time in a day.

Although the war ended with the government's victory, it was not without consequences. A poisonous element known as Lorine began leaking from the other worlds, bringing a plague that wiped out a third of humanity — the infamous May Death. Those infected gained strange abilities, in exchange for their certain death in a year.
