《The World Of Thousands (ENDED)》Chapter Three: I Am A Baby, I Struggle To Find The Hole

“We have decided to test her feet blood to see if it matches one of our DNA models in our database, then we can decide what to do with her condition.”

“Thank you. Doctor.”

Clarice woke up in a strangely familiar surroundings filled with darkness. The darkness here was not of any type like what you would experience when the light gets turned off. It was rather filled with a sense of warmth and a subtle feeling of mother—wait a second. Was that a voice that Clarice just heard? Something about feet blood? What the heck? The technology was that advanced? Doctors didn’t take arm blood anymore?

What if that person had stinky feet?

The voice she heard seemed to be coming from a distant, muffled almost. Suppose Clarice was to not possess such an ability of keen hearings, inherited from her mother obviously. In that case, she might not have heard the extremely remote voice coming from the outside.

Wait? The outside?

A sudden revelation sparked up like a light bulb inside Clarice’s head. Connecting all the clues and clear indications of where she was—the warm feeling, the convoluted voices, the feet blood(?)—it became lucid to her all of a sudden.

“Holy *beep* am I inside a womb?”

Everything appeared more than clear, portraying her stupidness even, that she was undoubtedly inside a womb. In an attempt to vanquish her ignorance and justify her “low IQ” behavior, Clarice started delving deep inside her brain in search of any knowledge regarding pregnancy and being a baby.

No useful information stood out in her brain other than torrents of trash, chimerical imaginations with cute dudes, callow thoughts about saving the world, and random frivolities that were, of course, futile and pointless in this situation.

Therefore, Clarice decided, “I’ll do my own thing then. I’ll bend my own bridge before my boat reaches it.” She thought she was so damn cool to say that, but there was just no audience to admire such a radiant girl. Such a pity!

Before she could realize what was happening and what made it happen, Clarice’s physical being enlarged itself from being nowhere to suddenly so large that she appeared unwieldy. The large womb now came into view as rather terrifying because of the swarms of blood surrounding Clarice, looking like the terrifying, swirling pool she refused to play in as a kid.

“We have found matching DNA in our database. Now, if we could—WHAAT?

Now certainly hearing the voices clearly, Clarice began to shift uncomfortably due to the unease from feeling too large in the womb. She felt like being inside a big, thick red balloon filled with water that was going to drown her any second.

Fearing the possibility of dying for the N times in a day, in the womb of all places, Clarice actively tried to find the “hole” that will get her out. It didn’t take her long before she could discern and perceive clearly where her head was going — the hole leading to the outside.

Wow, how smart of her to figure out that baby’s heads are typically facing the direction they will be coming out of. So intelligent and high IQ of her! *Clap-Clap*

The shortness of breath subdued the baby Clarice in one split second when she saw the first light that entailed her success of her “Journey Out Of The Womb.” As excited as she was at that moment, she couldn’t help but wonder that if “being born” actually feels like slipping through a tiny tube. Was that even supposed to be that easy? She had heard it can take like three days and extreme pain for the mother? Wait-a mother? A NEW mother?

Questions always appear and disappear out of nowhere and to nowhere for Clarice. The next second she was thinking about something else, something completely different and absolutely no relation to previous thoughts.

“So, do I have a head now?” Thought Clarice.

It was only after that thought that she suddenly noticed her complete oblivion in her surroundings. A formally dressed man was staring at her in consternation with a partly shocked expression. He was so contiguous to the point that they were just ten milliliters away. Clarice’s mind didn’t raise questions of any sort about why that man was looking so closely at where she came from — the hole — because she was too awed and aghast at his oddly, almost overwhelming, reminiscent facial features.

“Sy? Why is he here? What is going on? Where am I?”

Clarice was inundated with a glut of mixed emotions at seeing her ex-fiance. She even forgot that she was literally a just-born baby and the fact babies are supposed to cry after they come out.

“PIA PIA PIA” The sound of spanking was apparent and quite sound in the bright-lit room.

Clarice was hanging in the air upside down for ten seconds before she realized that she was supposed to cry.

However, if you didn’t notice already, Clarice was a woman of power and dignity, or specifically, insubordinate and whimsical to an irritating degree.

She refused to cry.

“PIA PIA PIA PIA PIA” The sound went on as if the doctor was spanking a potato, not a human just-born, fresh baby from a mother who was gasping like a mad dog demanding for something. Not even the man noticed his wife’s awkward state as he was too concentrated on the mere being of the baby, who refused to cry.

“Sy! Sy, what’s going on! Sy?” Clarice’s flummoxed voice inherently turned out like a baby’s mumbles.

Like the genius he was, Sy was indubitably able to discern the baby’s mumbles. Yes, he can speak some babyish and plan to gain mastery over it soon, especially after seeing the unusualness in this baby. She even knew his name when she was literally just born.

“What an interesting woman.” Murmurred Sy under his breath.

The woman on the bed opened a slight gap in her eyes when hearing Sy’s mutter. She was awake the whole time. In fact, she faked all her “weak” and melancholy state these weeks to gain Sy’s sympathy and undivided attention — she needed him to focus on her and her only. She was avid for his entire tenderness and “her tenderness.” No other woman could have his affection, not even his mother.

She was sick to that sense.

Unsurprisingly and more than psycho even, the woman had extreme contempt and went out of her way to find her new-born daughter repellent. She wanted no one to replace her position in Sy’s heart. No woman or girl could supersede her. NO ONE.

Though she was sure to fake most of her conditions, her pregnancy complications were actually unprecedented in medical history. It was just that she never thought about how real her fabrication came out to be, or she was overly complacent that she wouldn’t even mind if her conditions became real concerns.

At the sight of Sy’s elusive mouth movements, Clarice couldn’t help but fall into a trance she had always struggled to get out of. He was too perfect, too ideal, and too quixotic that he was almost unreal.

Why do such perfect human being exists…

*BEEP BEEP*

Yen has gone off the trajectory. Yen needs to come back. Yen has gone off the trajectory. Yen needs to come back.

The robotic voice thundered in Clarice’s head. Eventually, it forced her focus away from Sy’s flawlessly shaped lips, which seemed to ask for kisses all the time — the type involving the tongue.

“Why is he not mine? What is the good of Charlotte anyways? Prettier? Is he that superficial?” Clarice was dismayed at the thought of losing such a beautiful man. Maybe she’ll never meet such a man again.

An image listing the information of her assignment came into Clarice’s mind like a projector built inside her head. She gasped the second she finished viewing the whole thing, “My goal is to get Sy to fall in love with me. Correct…em, Arpha?”

Yes, Yen. Your ultimate goal is to occupy Sy’s heart by getting his love. You will need to accomplish it within the time limit. Otherwise, you will be obliterated immediately when the time runs out.

“But, I am literally just a baby…?”

This is your assignment. Systems can not give any advice until you have leveled up to a point which I will be granted an intellectual mind.

“And how is that done?”

Yen needs to reach level ten with minumum points 2000

Clarice had the fortitude to be strong and autonomous. She had never been so determined to succeed on that spot, at that particular moment. Maybe it was because she might die, or it might be her inner desires. Whatever it may be, she was resolute.

It was very unlike her, but she needed to survive.
