《One Piece: The New Age》The Memory that Burns

At the other end of the shore, Pogo and the boys shuffled around the makeshift boat that he had been building for years. It was small, barely enough to be considered more than a raft. A single sail was attached to the boat, flying its blank canvas as the wind would heavily determine the sail’s flow.
Ortis stood behind Pogo, as the boy hopped inside and began adding some final touches to the boat itself. He had planned to leave the village in a week or so. Very soon. “What a piece of junk. How could you ever consider sailing this shit?” The group broke out into laughter as Ortis kicked the ship lightly.
Pogo ignored his mockings, and continued with his absurd plan to become king of the pirates. “You know if you become a pirate, and I become a marine, we will inevitably cross right?” Ortis prolonged his reasoning.
“I wouldn’t have it any other way Ortis.” Pogo said with a sincere smile perturbing his face. This was the pinnacle of their memories. A once in a lifetime promise that would erupt the hell flames of the world into anarchy one day.
“Then it’s a promise!” Ortis gave his hand to shake, and Pogo looked up at him. His tall blonde figure held a distinguishable charisma. This hand shake wasn’t just any horse play, a seriousness had overcome the boy.
“Yeah, a promise it is.” Their hands clasped together as they shook on the matter. Two men who would never break their word had just formed a promise of undeniable proportions. The scene took an unexpected turn soon afterwards.
“Aghh! Help, help, oh God help us!” Lady Jenkins came down the hill with her white apron on, smeared with the distinct color of red. Her eyes were unsteady, and her knees came trembling down upon the sands as she broke out into tears. “Help! Oh lord help!”

“What’s wrong Lady Jenkins?!” Ortis kneeled beside her with a genuine concern for the poor lady. The sound of gunshots and screams could be heard in the village, and a heat emanated off of the central town. It was erupted into flames!
“P-Pirates! Oh my--Oh my--Pirates!” She went into shock. Ortis went into a stone-cold state of determination. He left Lady Jenkins side and started jogging up the sandy hill to Foosha Village. “Don’t worry Lady Jenkins, I’ll take care of this!” His resolve clear and resonate in his voice.
The scene of a beautiful green town burning to the ground, people being shot at and pirates at the center of the fold. It was a horrid scene. A purely chaotic one. Pogo and Ortis were the only ones to actually approach the scene, the rest of the boys stayed to comfort Lady Jenkins.
A bearded man with long and scrubbly black hair, stomped across the village with flintlocks in hand. “Gahahahaaaha!” Fujitora Fox exploded, his pure insanity emanating off of him as he shot into random directions. “Yes, that’s right! Fear me! You weaklings, fear me!” He shouted into the air.
“Damnit! Pogo, help me with this guy!” Ortis glanced toward me before returning his angry gaze to Fujitora Fox. He was quite large, and his crew was strong enough to raid Foosha Village. Fujitora wasn’t necessarily strong, but his bounty said enough about his nature.
“Got it!” The pair dashed at the large black haired man. The two fists pummeling into his gut like a methodical corkscrew. Fujitora’s complexion immediately became distraught as he stumbled back in exasperating pain.
“Ahh! Gahh! What the--” He stopped himself, as his eyes became enraged and his muscles bulged at Pogo and Ortis. “Why you kids! I’ll kill you! I’m the menacing and notorious Fujitora Fox!” His creepy smile appeared before us.

With a powerful downward motion, Fujitora sent a strike that sent a flurry of dust and rock into the air, marauding above the two. He laughed meticulously. Pogo fell backwards, as Ortis flew foward to the pirate and began pummeling his body with a strong and perfect combination. It was unreal for his age.
The strikes were so fast that they built up pressure and sent Fujitora flying back and hitting a dark stone wall. “Fuuughhhh.” He burped out, his eyes looking hazy and Ortis seeming even more angry. Ortis was scary to Pogo.
Pogo was different from Ortis in every way. This was clearly one of them. The strength Ortis had was unparalleled for his age. Pogo could only watch. The boys came up from behind Pogo to watch as well.
Ortis ran toward the injured Fujitora and began finishing him off with a dominant combo that really cheese-wagoned the poor pirate. It was clear who had won this battle. The pirates were fighting off a squad of marines that had been dispatched by a messenger.
The marines swiftly detained them and were also watching Ortis absolutely destroy Fujitora. As if lightning had crackled, the uppercut sent a powerful surge of energy through Fujitora’s jaw and sent him flying as he cackled up some blood and teeth.
Before he had a chance to land, Ortis grabbed the man and slammed him in front of the marine squad. “I’ll take this as my ticket to join the marines. I hope you’ll accept my offer.” He said monotonously.
