“Well, It looks like we made it.” John tells Jeanie with Magis Alkemeye in the distance. The Bell at the very top of the Tower was ringing to give the all clear to the surrounding homes, that whatever danger was present is now gone. As Jeanie and John continued walking they saw that, indeed, the dragon was gone, and nothing else seemed to be burning. The walls to the town are to tall for anyone to see into.
“ We sure did.” Jeanie says smiling, but tired from the walking. Departing the tree line and making their way to Magis Alkemeye, Jeanie gets something she didn’t think she would.
E: I’m sorry for what I have been doing to you, and I really wish that we could be friends, also, watching where you are walking is a good idea...
As Jeanie reads the last word and backs out of the message, it’s already too late. She trips, and falls flat on her face.
E: Fucking FELL for it, dumbass.
She fucking sent me that shit to distract me. Bitch…
Jeanie, picking herself off the ground, turns and sees a small 4 inch tall curved root, perfect to fit her fit into, sticking out of the ground where she tripped. Of course, the root was already there, so Jeanie couldn’t get to mad. Well, she could, and she did. Jeanie stopped getting mad when she realized there was nothing she could do to stop the sentient planetary body from picking on her. She wanted to rip the root out and spit in the hole left behind, but that would just anger Earth to the point of her not caring for the rules. Jeanie really didn’t want John or herself to die.
Jeanie, saying nothing, continued walking, and as she did, she stayed quiet and contemplative.
How do I make her like me enough, that she doesn’t wish me dead? I wish I never did that stupid ritual. Fucking Idiotic, foul, piece of Hound shit! Fuck, I’m useless, total garbage. Trash to be left out in the cold to die, I’m not worth anyone’s...

*Thump*
“Don’t get lost in your head, sis. It’s okay. I love you.” John says, smiling a mile wide, while pulling his hand away from Jeanie’s forehead, having just thumped her there. He could always tell when she was getting stuck in her emotions. She would cry a lot when they lived at home. She was depressed. It was made worse by homelessness, and not feeling loved by her parents.
“Thanks, bud. I love you too.” Jeanie smiles back weakly. She missed home. She missed her parents, and the way they used to be. She missed having her friends to play with. Her parents weren’t home the day it happened. They had a lot of cats. Jeanie wanted them. She’d put food out for one, and two would show up. She’d put food out for 3 and 5 would show up. It got to the point that she had 13 cats, and they all loved her so much. The only thing that earth liked about Jeanie was that she took good care of those cats. Sometimes, starving to feed them all. Doing work around her neighborhood to earn silver to buy fresh fish, meat, and milk. She loved them all, but didn’t name them, because if she got too attached and one died, or disappeared, she didn’t want to be too upset by it. She instead called all of them ‘Kitty’. That was 3 years ago, and this is now. Hungry, scared, and constantly trying to not die.
As they continued walking, Jeanie tried not to think about her past and focus on getting to town safely. It was only early evening, but she wanted to get to town, finish her errands, and than get back to their dirt hovel of a home before night fall. Walking to Magis Alkemeye wouldn’t take very long, but it was more walking that they had to do, and Jeanie was getting tired and hungry, really hungry. FUCKING STARVING actually.

HP Total: 14/17
Eat soon or become Ravenous and suffer for it
STR reduced by 3
“Acgh” Jeanie doubled over, do to her now obvious hunger pains. She needed to eat before she became Ravenous. She’d seen people go Ravenous and it's not a pretty sight. (After 21 hrs plus a person’s con mod. Jeanie’s is +0) You literally, will try to eat anything you can find. Gold, wood, fire, water, people, and pets. It’s very disturbing.
While holding her stomach, Jeanie grabbed her bag and open it, and found a raw fish in one of the rags she wrapped it in. She didn’t want to spend the time cooking it and wasting time, when she still had things to do. She unwrapped it and using her nails, peeled away the scales, and bit into the fish without hesitation. After a few minutes of eating what she could, she threw the fish into the middle of the meadow, and got the Message she was waiting for.
You have eaten a small meal
Hunger subsided for a short time
Starving no longer in effect
STR has been returned to normal
“Okay, I’m good John, let’s go.” Jeanie states while standing from her huddled position.
“ Oh, okay…” John says confused. The boy had never gotten a message of hunger before because he has always been fed well. The boy was very slender, like all elf/half-elves are, but he still ate good, and he looked healthy.
“What was that just a minute ago?” John asked Jeanie after contemplating whether to ask or not.
“ You know how I haven’t eaten all day?” “ Yeah…” “ Well, when that happens, people get hungry, and when it gets worse we get what is called ‘Starved’. It’s causes a little damage, and lowered strength until taken care of.” Jeanie finished saying, handing John a half unwrapped raw fish from her bag. He grabbed it and started eating it.
“Oh, so it hurts to be, hungry?” He asked inbetween bites.
“Yep, that’s right.” Jeanie said with a huff. Getting over being starved takes more than eating. A little rest usually helps, but it’s never too bad.
All the hunger stuff taken care of. Jeanie noticed something in the distance. Not the town, or anything but something right in front of her, but she can’t discern how far or close it is. It’s weird. A man, or woman, standing right there, or maybe farther away? It’s skin is a dark grey color, with black eyes, and very long black claws. It’s naked, but has no nipples, or genitals. John isn’t moving or anything, just staring scared. No sound, or maybe too much? It sounds like someone nearby is sharpening the dullest sword. Constant sound of metal on stone. The sound is coming from the creature, or is it in her head? Creature? Creatures? Two, three, four, five, six. Jeanie tries and fails to skip count them do to the noise permeating her mind. Their bodies containing only small features. Human shaped hands. Five toes, and eyes. No mouth and a two tiny holes for a nose. Small pointed ears with a tiny hole to hear from. What are these things?
*Grevagnoos*
‘Did one of them say something?’ Jeanie was trying to concentrate enough but she was so terrified that she couldn’t even remember what was going on. She didn’t want to forget what was happening, but she felt like she was being magically made to forget everything over the last 30 minutes, over and over again. 30? 25? 45? What time was it? It was dark outside. What was going on.

Something about being ‘chosen’?
It was at this point that Jeanie passed the FUCK OUT. For gods’ know how long.

[Archive] Legend of the Nameless Hero
A WhiteSamurai original Web Novel There are always the mysterious tales of heroes, those who fight against the Demons, who fight for justice and those who head mighty quests against tyranny. Heroes that are born to destiny, Heroes that are forged through tragedy, and Heroes that are brought to the world in times of great peril and strife. Not all true Heroes are wanted or beloved, but all life understands, that throughout all time and space, for those who truly stand as Heroes, they never need to be called one. The sands of time are the only true judge for those who journey upon the true path, the only one they will ever need. This is the tale, no, the Legend, the Legend of the one who throughout all time, would forever be, the First Hero. This is Their story, a story of true hardship, of a sorrow greater than any other that would stand as a symbol of inspiration no matter the test of time. A tale of darkness, a true curse, an impending evil hidden beyond the horizons that threatened the very future of existence. This is the tale, of one of the few great figures, who, in the face of true evil, continued to stand. . . . _______________________________________________________________ :Disclaimer: _______________________________________________________________ . . . All Chapters are subject to sudden revision, scrapping, or complete removal from the canonical storyline. The author of "Legend of the Nameless Hero" uses RoyalRoad as a method of experimentation with genre's and writing styles for Fantasy-style works for the sake of eventual publication. The end result isn't to release perfect chapters on RoyalRoadl, but eventually develop the story as intended using the best material to produce the highest quality work. The best mentality when reading works from WhiteSamurai is to see it as the ability to read and review pre-release transcripts or "Rough Copies" before publication. Viewer discretion and maturity are both requested and required. . . . _______________________________________________________________ :About: _______________________________________________________________ . . . This story follows direct character point of views along with an intentional third person narrative to explain to the readers what the characters won't. (I don't use my characters to go give extensive explanations for every last thing like EVERYTHING DOES) This tale shall encompass the life of the Hero from the moment she is summoned into the Kingdom of Kremor, to the Legendary Final Clash. This isn't your run of the mill hack and slash raise an army and conquer, I don't follow that bandwagon. Real life holds politics, intrigue, economics, structure, populations, civil opinions, history, psychology, heart, suffering, wonder, advancement, curiosity, ambition, and so many more things that would lead to me hitting some character limit. I refuse to take the same route that others use by simply ignoring these factors, my worlds, my stories, are as real as they get. There's no plot armor here, if someone screws up, they've screwed up and there's no magical sword in a well for them. I write in 'Seasons' not 'Books' as many often do, these are generally, not always, hundreds of chapters long, though as I have yet to finish a season, the average length is in the air. I go by an ideal of what I call 'Universal Lore' which includes the policy that things that exist within the story don't follow the rule where the Protagonist needs to be there so that it will happen. There will be some things that will happen, and the hero, and sometimes the reader, won't know happened until they enter a place, or news gets to them. A person needs to be in the right place at the right time, I hate plot holes and meta characters above all else... For my works, comments are practically demanded as reactions, thoughts, and various viewpoints are like sweet fuel to my writing spirit. Reviews are highly accepted and appreciated, BUT ONLY IF THEY ARE EDUCATED AND THOROUGHLY EXPLAINED. Those that throw down a low rating ARE HIGHLY REQUESTED to extensively detail and explain their viewpoints on the work. They should also be willing to come back to the work at a later date if messaged by the Author, Me, due to issues they mentioned being taken care of. I'm never against scrapping a chapter or rewriting several paragraphs if there are character or story discrepancies. I want the highest quality work possible, and every comment, every review, are tools for me to use to further that goal. . . . Enjoy the work. ~White Status: (Ongoing)
