Chapter 1 A: Awaken Betrayed and Forsaken Hero
From the abyss he felt like he was waking up from a long nightmare, his soul had been tormented and tortured by the ones he had killed and he had atoned to them by suffering in an eternal hell where he was killed numerous times by them. After what seemed to be like an eternity he was within a white space standing alone and bloodied, no armor, no sword and definitely no power. In front of him was a woman sitting on a throne in pure amusement, she had long dark violet hair which descended into a midnight blue color as it reached the tips which were close to her hips, her eyes were crimson red behind a pair black rimmed spectacles, she wore a black kimono that the patterns of the stars that he often observed in the sky with Myne which was at odds with her obviously foreign beautiful face, she claps her hands in pure glee as she vanishes from her throne and is now a few steps away from him.
“How did you enjoy the hell that your enemies wished upon you?Was it excruciating?Horrible?I can think of many words but I would soon run out of them if I think about it. You have been betrayed by the ones who have trusted, I do not get tired of the expression that one wears when they realize their life was just a joke. Now unto the real reason why I brought you here”
She seemed like a very depraved person at heart, he didn’t want to say that but..
“I am depraved, very much so. You see your world is backward as hell. It is stuck within a loop of raising heroes and demon kings to kill each other off, and what is the end result for those heroes who do have the potential to ruin the loop. THEY DIE! Betrayed by god and country as well as party members, what happens then? They become the new Demon King and decide to work hard to make the Demon Continent stronger, each and every single one of them acts like they forgot their anger and hatred against the humans and act like this. Leading them back to me”

“Who are you?”
“I am a god who exists beyond time and space, beyond your rules and regulations. I sit in a plane of existence higher than all of your gods and any god of any world. I am known as Ego Sors Aeterna, pleased to meet you David of Mistella Village. I will tell you now you have a choice of going back”
“I do?”
“Yes I will certainly help you attain your revenge in return you do your best to entertain me. Simple enough is it not?”
“……”
“The other two also revived and are going to awaken soon”
“Myne and Fiona…”
“So do you want to live again?”
“Yes I promised those bastards I will come back from the grave to kill them”
“Then it’s settled. You will be revived back into life, you can go anywhere if you wish but you are to meet up with the other two at the Demon King’s palace.”
“I will do so”
“Then awaken from your long nightmare Fallen Hero.”
David’s conscience starts to wane and waver as he drops to his knees and collapses completely out of existence.
“So it begins, my intervention will show them true hell, what a true conquest looks like. You’ll do just fantastic Alastor, the blood and suffering of all the demons including the former Demon King is within you. A great deal of entertainment is about to begin”
Ego Sors Aeterna smiles as she watches over David who begins to awaken in his world.

Sanguilia, Guide extraordinaire and strange woman all around, is accompanying a trade caravan when disaster strikes. At first glance she is no more than a Guide, which is no lowborn title itself, as it represents individuals who are capable of traversing the unknown wilds and are well versed in the languages of the land and its inhabitants. As she enters a city on her way home, a new, massive problem rears its head. Accompanied by a bar wench, who is far more than she seems, the mercenary Orc, Daenan and his tiny, flying companion, Faen, all with their own plans and agendas, they seek to tackle a monster in the shape of a man who controls the city. In the depths of the woods, far away from what humanity sees as the centre of civilisation, the lone, independent city of Lanas prepares itself for war, for the Kingdom of Maldora has set its eyes on them and their wealth. A cry for help goes out and bonds long faded into obscurity are renewed. And the world quakes when their calls are answered. Melena, once a slave girl, resides happily in the Mansion and is slowly getting used to her new life, where equality seems to rule. Until a noble's son decides that her very attractive body is something he should own. When the enigmatic master of the Mansion decides to personally deal with the rulebreaker, her world is turned upside down as she stumbles upon ancient mysteries that threaten to overwhelm her. Luckily she finds support in her once-liberator, now turned friend, the happy-go-lucky Evon, who carefully hides his past, the ghost-like Khrast, Kreya and many others. It is a tale of adventure, of lies and deceit, of love lost and found, of bravery and cowardice and where every one of our heroes and villains alike strive to find the answer to the same question: who is the being behind the Mansion of the Woods?

Granted boundless potential, he and his party would soon rise to prominence, becoming some of the greatest adventurers the world had ever see- *Ahem* Sorry, I've been told by the MC to say he's just an average guy. Nothing special about him. A traditional fantasy story with a (hopefully) new twist on the magic system. There's adventure, combat, monsters, magic, banter, and of course: pork belly. I'm new to writing fiction, and still learning to be more efficient in my brainstorming and editing process. If you have any feedback or suggestions, let me know! If you see any typos, mock me as much as you want because I should feel bad about it.

Professor Pierre Aronnax, a French marine biologist (and narrator within the story) receives a last-minute invitation to join the expedition. As the expedition travels south around Cape Horn into the Pacific Ocean, the crew finds the monster after a long search and then attack it, but the ship is damaged with the three main protagonists thrown into the water.
