Prologue B: They Who Were Thrown Away
“Its over Demon King! Your reign of terror has come to an end!”
“Reign of terror? My reign has been anything but of terror, I have ruled these people with fairness and kindness, protected them under my wing. What has humanity done? They called them evil, took their lands and chased them out of their homelands. I once was like you, an aspiring hero who vowed to protect mankind but then I saw the truth I saw-“
An arrow is released into his head which shocks the Hero and those around him, it was a cold blooded shot that didn’t allow the Demon King who was on the ground to finish his sentence, it was calculated.
“Why?”
“Because he was rattling too much we still have to go back home don’t we?I do not want Melina to chew my head off”
Everyone then laughed at Scott’s joke which held a certain degree of truth, she would certainly talk him down to the extent one would feel the need to come up with some random excuse.
“What do we do with his body?”
“We leave it, they say the Demon King’s body often vanishes after some time.”
“Is that right? I thought of throwing it over that cliff”
“Shit I forgot to check if this Demon King has some treasury somewhere we could take some stuff with us as souvenirs for everyone!”
“Fuck, Scott again?”
“C’mon help me out here John!”
It was convenient that the Demon King had a cliff that overlooked a great gorge, maybe he thought about the beauty of his land from time to time they weren’t sure but they proceeded to walk to the cliff carrying the Demon King’s heavy body.
“Phew finally here. Okay who is willing to drop him off ?”

“Lucas you should be able to do that, you saved our hides more times than one”
“But it wasn’t me who did the final blow on the Demon King that sent him to his deathbed”
“Yeah you’re right”
“C’mon Hero do your job and let’s all go home”
David smiled as he heard this, he took the Demon King’s body and dragged it along without looking back. So many people had died because of this demon, so many people were taken by him it was right for him to throw him off into a gorge where his body would forever be forgotten. But his last words were rather mysterious as they hinted at something even greater than himself, he began to wonder why he said such words and disregarded them as he threw the Demon King’s body to be left to fall into the abyss of the gorge. With feelings of uncertainty he turns around only to meet the edge of a blade stabbing him in the stomach, his eyes widen in shock as he sees who it is. It was Lucas the paladin stabbing him with a rose crested sword which was glowing as his blood was dripping off on its blade. Myne and Fiona had met similar fates, they had been caught off guard and met death as well, Fiona the weakest of them all had several arrows in her and several thorn like scars on her body which began to spread on her body. Myne had her fingers cut off and her throat slit gurgling out blood as she painfully choked in her own blood. These had been the actions of John and Scott who smiled as they watched David’s own shock.
“W….hy?”
“Because you were a nuisance, the kingdom and the church felt that you would one day go against all of them so they chose us to dispose of you.”

“I w…ould….ne..ver”
“Sorry bud tough luck for you then. The Hero killed the Demon King and so after his use the world threw him away. He too is just a tool, I never liked any of your bunch but hey at least you die being glorified and shit. Do not worry I will take care of the little loose ends, you’ll even see your village again in the afterlife that is”
“Hey Lucas you done yet?I already threw Myne off the cliff”
“Me too! Stop monologuing and throw him off as well we got lots of work to do!”
“Well then I guess this is goodbye”
“I WILL KILL ALL OF YOU!!EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU!!I PROMISE THAT NO I VOW UPON MY SOUL I WILL COME AFTER YOU FROM MY GRAVE!!I WILL RIP YOUR ORGANS OUT AND-“
“Save it for the grave”
David felt the fall as his own body was descending into the world of darkness where the Demon King’s body was falling. He then realized what the Demon King was talking about, the humans were in the wrong all this time and he was fighting a war of defense. They were the evil ones here and he was just a man trying to protect his people back. He never saw the look of the demons’ eyes as they were filled with the despair of the invaders who came to kill and destroy everything that was theirs. He was no hero, he was just a pawn in the grand scheme of things. His body hits the ground right next to the Demon King, as the other two’s bodies a small distance from him. He fades into the darkness as he reaches out his hand to the light which begins to run from his grasp.

It may happen so that the events around give the law to you which makes you feel suppressed although sometimes you don’t mind such pressure at all. As fate would have it (this time the role of fate played an elderly wizard who had rather sophisticated plans to implement) a street thief Chris the Tout would become the third son of a baron, would receive the name of Erast von Rut and would be sent to study Magic to a strange and hidden in the middle of nowhere Raven castle. However, the difference between accepting the law of fate and obeying it without a grumble had always existed in a human society.
