《Ascension Game》5th Entry - Discovery

I wake up early. I saw yesterday that the cafeteria only opens after 7 am, that is an hour from now. I decide to read a little.
The “Station Operating Manual” describes the structure we are in. We are on the first floor, and apparently, there are 99 others. Surprisingly, they do not have the same areas; our floor is labeled 5 km², while others are supposedly larger than 100 km². Such a structure would defy the law of physics, but I continue to read since some details seem accurate. Our floor really has everything we need. I notice a shopping mall, some sports fields, and an arena. Many rooms are labeled “purchasable” on the second and third floors. There is a basement floor; its rooms’ descriptions do not have meaning to me. I notice something important, there should be an elevator to access the second floor, right outside the building. I should check that first.
My lockers have been filled with basic clothes. I pick some and change myself, then head for the cafeteria. Unsurprisingly no one is there yet. The cheapest option is a 3 credits menu, but I purchase a fancy breakfast for 5 credits. I take the northern exit toward the supposed elevator and reach a vast place with many benches to sit on.
I do not see any elevator. The only thing standing out is a strange monument at the end of the site: three claws rising from the ground placed in a circle. The 3 pillars are made of stone and are curved toward the center. The bottom of the structure is composed of multiple circles drawn from different materials. I approach and walk through the rings. To my surprise, the structure illuminates, and I am transported elsewhere in a fraction of a second.
I kneel in shock. My heart pounds in my chest like it’s going to explode. There are threes all around; I’m in a forest. I look at the ground for a few seconds and calm myself down.

I search my surroundings but do not find anything.
No teleporter on this side. I decide to walk for a few minutes; this forest is vast.
While passing upon a dead tree, I sense a presence behind me: a wolf!
It looks aggressive, and I immediately freeze in fear. The beast is massive with a large grey fur; it could kill me easily. Remember Joshua, do not panic, or it will see you as prey.
I slowly walk backward and try to make myself a little bigger. That does not seem to work; the wolf is approaching while showing its teeth and growling. I look for a tool and notice a rock on the ground; I reach it in a desperate move, but the animal jumps at my throat! I place my left arm in front of me at the last moment. The wolf bites into it; it hurts. As the adrenaline rush through my veins, I smash the rock into its skull.
The beast is knocked out, and I crawl away from it. I am breathing heavily, and my arm is losing a lot of blood. As my vision blurs, I notice a second wolf growling at me. I hold the rock in my right hand, ready to fight for my life. Suddenly, someone emerges from the threes. That is a man wearing black armor. He walks past the wolves toward me. I mutter with my shaking, fearful voice: “He… Help, please”. The black Knight picks up its spear and shoves it into my chest with great violence. Everything goes black.

Godslayers
In the ancient, brutal days, the Eifni Organization reached heaven through violence and tore the gods from their thrones. Now their methods are more precise. Etheric technology allows them to measure love, create beauty, and reincarnate the souls of the dead into new bodies. By embedding specially-trained operatives—godslayers—into a culture, they can create the exact conditions to kill a god and save the souls it would otherwise devour. Lilith was a run-of-the-mill college atheist until a divine being took a bite out of her soul. Rescued by the Eifni Organization, she signed on as a godslayer. Now, after years of training, she's deploying on her first real mission to a planet called Theria. Objective: perform reconnaissance on the local pantheon and clear out as many of the gods as they can before the strike team arrives. There's just one problem: the Therians seem to know they're coming. Godslayers is a story about intrigue, meaning, and people being too clever for their own good. Updates Tuesdays and Fridays.
