《Phantom Transgression》Chapter 19

After stressful waiting for Camshron, there was the time of result. Camshron got near the room, but Mr. Fernsby got out of the room with papers in his hand. Camshron followed him for a few steps after watching Mike tied in a chair and said, "Sir, what's the matter?"
"He passed."
"Impossible. He had not killed him. Have you seen the maniac talking and walking, how he speaks-"
"I also believe, but how did he pass with ninety-five percent truth?"
"What were the lies then?"
"Well, at first we began with questions like- What is your pant's color you are wearing now? Is this Tuesday? Questions like these. He told lies in those."
"He wanted the lie detector not to record his actual nerves situation then."
"Whatever, it is but a very big trouble. If he had killed Haq, then he would have killed Lorgé with a snap. And why would he run from a person trying to kill him if he has capacity to defend himself and finish the other guy off?"
"Person trying to kill him…"
Camshron jumped, "All this is nothing but a pure set up. A setup which misused Mike's unhealthy mind. I can believe Lorgé was attacked by him but Haq's murder- out of his capacity."
"Don’t underestimate Mike. He too is a hired killer and still can do anything to kill whom he wants."
"Okay, I got it. I will make contact with MPD right now. Sorry, contact St. Elizabeth's Hospital right now and will try to find anything of used about Mike."
"I can't understand you, Camshron. Case is going on in confusion and you come with this opinion? CCTV footages are not enough of clues for us."
"So allow me to grab Colonel Norton."

"I don’t want to understand you either." said Mr. Fernsby and continued, "Contact there right now!"

HOT SPRINGS,
Bob was out of his room. He was in his brand new silver SUV with a bunch of people. He had still bandages on his face. It looked like whatever had made his face go on from medical treatment was a serious problem or an accident. Nobody except Bob in the car knew reason for bandages to be on his face all the time.
He was driving his car, and now was returning to his apartment to play poker once again. There was nothing more to be done there than playing a poker game.
Soon he came to his apartment on the ground floor of the old dusty house.
He was horrified for a while to see the door of the apartment unlocked. Someone was in there. Even a fool could figure it out? Is he alone there or has a bunch of people or cops? Oh my God! COPS? Bob's mind was being pessimistic, as he always was. Was Phantom Being there? If he was there, then why would he hurt Bob and his people?
"Phantom Being, is it you?" Bob sounded to clear his doubt.
Bob could hear water dropping from the tap in the sink of room. Sound then stopped.
"Phantom Being?"
"Kevin Jones." came the reply in deep voice.
"So it's your name, hah? Who has hired you?"
Everyone then pulled their guns at the door.
Jones could hear guns being pulled at the room.
Answer was shocking, "You hired me, Bob. You forgot?"
"Let's get in and kill-" anxious Bob roared.
In a sudden a five feet man in his mid sixties in his white lab coat came out.
Nobody fired at the old man.

"Very strong Phantom Being…" said Bob and heard other's laughter, "What the fuck? How did I hire you, old man?"
"You had made a house call. Remember something now? I am here from Langley skipping my job for an hour and you were not here."
Everyone pulled down their guns because all knew he was not Phantom Being whom they feared. Dr. Kevin Jones- the expert dermatologist in whole Langley, who was still in the list of Top 20 American Doctors.
He was once a Brazilian who had settled in Langley two decades earlier. He said when everyone came in the room, "Having any problem?"
"Yes Doc, I have four problems."
"Let's hear 'em."
"First, when shall I get rid of these bandages on my face?"
"Just after a week, would be even better if you don’t remove it for ten days or so."
"Second, I hired Phantom Being to kill Mike."
"Why are you revealing this thing to me?"
"This is the second problem. My mouth slips secret to anyone connected with me."
"I can't solve this one. You may need a psychiatrist for this issue." said Dr. Jones, drinking a glass of wine, "And the third?"
"It's right in front me with a glass of wine in his hand." Bob smirked.
In a second he pulled out his M9 Pistol from his waist and shot on doctor's heart. Bob said to the dead body, "I hope now you know why I wasn’t telling about the fourth problem. Doc, I have just solved it."

World Story: Biographies of Extraordinary People
Important note: I’d like to thank Dr. Buller for their advice on dialogue by their critical review. And I’m on a one-month break to post the first revised chapters on Scribble Hub. Please stay tuned! Even in faraway worlds, every folk had a story, and monsters came in numerous shapes and sizes. However, heroes never existed in this otherworld. Even the most idealistic understood this deep within. But as they abandoned their humanity at times, they quickly regained it. It was not that they became human again. They always were. So what happened when the monster devoid of humanity appeared? Well, the “heroes” sought to slay it at all costs either way, lest it would be the end of their stories. A portal/isekai fantasy that I wanted to deconstruct some elements within. Expect a whole ton of references and dialogue because I’ll deliberately write it more like a light novel. The last thing to consider is that Japanese names in my novel will come with kanji/hiragana characters within parentheses. The same goes for any other derived from non-Latin writing systems. It’s because none of the names I write will be accidental or random. They’ll all have meaning. New chapters Monday to Thursday at 11:00 PM (GMT+8), though sometimes I can’t. Credit for the cover art goes to HWPerfidy. She’s a freelance artist on this site, and I’d love anyone who shows her support.
