《Phantom Transgression》Chapter 4

Nathan Camshron then saw wounds on his chest. Camshron spotted a rib through the wound. Bullet had entered inside body very hard. Then he had a look on legs and stomach. There was not any wound at all.
Camshron said, "Someone has already touched it. I can see fingertips like spots on his neck. The marks are blood marks."
"Someone might have… seems to be the killer." said Fernsby.
"No one grabs neck of dead bodies. Was someone checking his pulses or trying to strand him?"
"Strand a person who was perhaps shot first?" said a cop very near to him.
"No-no. I think someone shot him first, but even after those shots, he tried to escape and killer throttled his neck. Maybe…" said Camshron. He knew his logic was not a good one.
The unknown cop had a better idea about this than Camshron at this situation. If the killer was with a loaded gun then why would he be interested in grabbing his neck?
Camshron got up and said to Mr. Fernsby, "I think search of any proof here will make our work easier."
Mr. Meredink interrupted, "We searched thrice."
"I think a single time shall be enough." Camshron said by getting farther from the corpse.
"Detective Camshron, we checked everywhere. Not any sign of a fingerprint. Nothing more than signs of Haq trying to save his life."
"Killer committed no mistake?"
"We have security camera footages."
"WHAT?"
"Of sound."
"Not even an image? Any object which can be figured out as human?"
"I must disappoint you." said Mr. Meredink.
Camshron then started checking on the walls as well as pillars and he found something. Camshron spelled out, "Mr. Fernsby!"
Mr. Fernsby and Mr. Meredink rushed to where Camshron was calling. Then he pointed out a small hole in the wall. It was a hole made by a bullet but had no bullet was inside it.
Camshron said by looking at it, "I reckon, the killer had missed target or the target made killer miss…"

Mr. Fernsby said rubbing his balding head, "But didn’t miss a chance to pull the bullet out."
"Yes, sir. There is nothing more here than blood."
"Blood?" Camshron paused for a moment, "How about DNA tests?"
Mr. Meredink interrupted, "Whole body-PM reports."
"I mean if Haq had somehow managed to hurt the killer then his blood may be somewhere here as well."
"Here is no evidence of the killer being hurt."
Camshron looked at Les.
He knew what Camshron meant to say.
Les turned towards their car and marched to it and when he came back, then he had a spray in his hand.
He handed it over to Detective Camshron.
"I hope killer wasn’t equipped for this." Camshron said by kneeling down a few meters in front of the corpse. It was a spray which could detect RBCs, WBCs, blood platelets, etc. It belonged to a phenomenon according to which: if blood is washed out, then its chemical structure will leave anything on the surface.
Then Camshron sprayed it on floor.
Nothing.
He moved few feet towards his left and sprayed it more.
Camshron found hard to believe it.
He saw some small dots of blood scattered around. Spray had made blood visible.
Camshron said by looking at Mr. Meredink, "These dots. Does it belong to the killer? And if it is not, then why is he supposed to be washing Haq's blood?" Mr. Meredink's answer was, "Maybe, it is evidence."
"My point, sir. If he has washed it, then he would also have washed other spots and blood spots on other places mean he could have been murdered somewhere, not right here."
"CCTV footage might clear it. Sounds may also reveal some hidden things."
"I think it might." said Camshron, repeating slowly, "Might…"
Nobody heard Camshron's last word. Camshron was very confused.
Getting into the topic was one of the hardest things for him to do.
He was being unable to represent the events which might have happened at the very moment. Then they started following Mr. Meredink. They could see a caravan of MPD.

Mr. Meredink said by looking at Mr. Fernsby, "We want it to be a confidential matter."
Camshron thought- Bullshit tape! But he had to see it.
Camshron was still thinking-study patterns. Study number of tramps. It's sound. If there is. Camshron entered inside the caravan at last and saw a CD player joined with TV connections.
Camshron saw a compact disc placed upon a DVD player.
Meredink played it.
The CD was locked.
Meredink typed the password, then they got some visuals.
He heard Mr. Meredink's voice, "There is no alternate of this video. There is not even a single of it." but Camshron's concentration was on the video.
They waited for few minutes to hear sound because Camshron had prohibited them from fast forwarding it. There they saw a Volkswagen. It appeared on the screen for few seconds until the car was reversed. Then with a slight thump the car was stopped.
Meredink pointed out, "Car stops."
Some tramps were audible.
Noise was echoing. Camshron heard Haq being about four meters away from the camera. It was the reason they were hearing with such precision.
The light started flashing. It was flashed for many times. At least something can be seen. Silences for moments made Camshron hear Mr. Haq shouting. Camshron heard the word, "You…" too much strange. Camshron looked at Mr. Fernsby, who had the same feeling like him.
"BANG". It was a misfire.
Tramps got faster.
He is not that murderer. He ran for his life. In a few seconds, two sounds of bullet hitting body came. Then they heard some bullets being fired. It was firing from Haq as the defense, but the final bullet's sound was louder.
Camshron was sure it was Haq's head.
Then some minutes of dire silence lead to no conclusion. But Camshron was thinking to begin investigation from neighbors.
"Aren't there other cameras?" He said out of the blue.
"No." said Mr. Meredink in utter disappointment.
"Then we should make conversation with the neighbors. They might have seen things beyond CCTV camera." exclaimed Camshron.
"Detective Camshron, we have some neighbors ready to cooperate with us. Most of them are those who had parked cars there last night."
He felt a bit happy. At least he had some people to interrogate about the incident. He said, "Was he alone in his house?"
"Yes, he was. He preferred self company."
Camshron thought of asking more questions about this incident to Mr. Meredink, but it wasn’t going to make a specific point so he kept quiet till he talks to the neighbors. Taking neighbors to Langley was nothing but foolishness. They had to ask them as soon as possible. If they were taken to Langley, then they could feel were in custody and wouldn't answer anything as they wanted from them.
Their answers would lack effectiveness in that condition.
Mr. Fernsby went out of the caravan with just confusion. He also went out and Mr. Meredink said to him, "Camshron, won't you talk with the neighbors."
"I see some hanging around here."
"They know nothing. We have some people who might have something to say."
Mr. Meredink came out and started walking with Camshron. Both of them entered inside the villa by crossing crime scent tapes.
There he saw four people on the sofa and a cop was standing just in front of them. Camshron saw people of early sixties.
A woman was in end years of her fifties.
All looked to be disheartened.
He noticed two of them rubbing their cheeks and an old gentleman was busy on his cell phone.
Camshron's sense said to himself - Make concrete decisions by analyzing body languages. Don’t make them feel they might be in danger. Just try to get fluent answers by soft questions. Then he cleared his throat.
"HHHHEEMMM…"All people in the big room having laminated floor looked at him at once.
Camshron realized almost all things in the room were made of wood.
A rifle was hung above the fireplace.
He saw the head of moose filled with hays. He also saw a tiger's skin mat on the floor.
His eyes fell on classic rocking chairs, spiral stairs with red carpet on it. He looked at huge candelabra above him.
Enough.

One to wander the realm in search of power, to protect themselves and what they believe in. They know their path to be the only one. Writers note: The first chapter will set the standard in terms of mood for the remainder of the story. It also comes to no surprise to me that half the people who read the first part stop reading any further. It has quite a bit of the good ‘ol ‘ultra-violence’ mixed with a great deal of realism. As much as I could fit into it from my own knowledge and experience in the elite forces. The first few chapters will be slow, after, but starting from ‘Restless Destroyer’ the remainder of the world will start to open up, and when we hit ‘Adronitis’ the prologue is largely finished. The novel is well thought out and filled with hidden lore, culture, history. So even if my word choice appears random – it’s not. There is a reason why these chapters take as long as they do. Vermodalen is fantasy adventure, with magic and heroics in an as realistic setting as I could fit. Things are rarely what they seem, and the ugly nature of people bleed through the letters at the turn of every page. I hope you can give this story a fair chance, even if it isn’t immediately to your taste. Lastly, english isn't my first language. It isn't my second one either. So, if you find errors in grammer and spelling, wordplay and sentance building, do let me know, and you will be rewarded by a surge of dopamine that will be released inside your brain for helping someone whom you haven't even seen or heard.

MAZE - The Endless Quest
As all kids do, Hera wanted to be an explorer. Sadly when she turned 18, she discovered that her stats and lack of skills made her fail the requirements to become one, and she went to work on a bookstore. That should have been the end of her story. But when she wins a lottery to have her level up, she discovers a hidden skill and a rare one at that. The system gave her dream back, and this time she is not letting it go. ############################## The story is about a world where game-like systems are the norm. Everyone has a level, status, and even skills are a common thing. If your stats are good, you can also become an explorer, someone that ventures inside a place called MAZE, a dungeon of sorts filled with monsters, creatures, and things that the natural world is missing, such as magic and demi-humans. The story follows Hera, a woman who wanted to be an explorer, but her status were too low to become one. One day she wins a raffle that allows her to level up for the first time giving her the chance to achieve her childhood dream. It's more about how things work and what you can do with them than about power or revenge. The rhythm might be a bit slow for some, but that is the idea. I want to give sort of a slice of life feeling to most of it.
