Chapter 7 - The armored girl
I walked through the streets of the city. I still cannot believe this is happening, I'm in a fantasy world with elves, swords, and even magic!.
'Grrrrrrrrr' Oh shoot, I forgot to eat food from Tracey's house, she even prepared them for me. It would be awkward and weird to return just for food. I guess I'd just eat on a restaurant. They do have restaurants here right? wait do I even have money right now?
As I thought about that, my hands checked all over my body.
'Looks like it's still here' I thought while shaking the pouch, hearing the coins clash.
Now to find a restaurant.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
10 mins later
Hey, I found one. It does have the word 'food tavern' on top of it. So, maybe it is a restaurant?
Not deciding to think about it, I entered the tavern.
It looks to me that I was right, it is a restaurant. There's even a lot of customers.
"Hello!"
looking to the left I see a woman, I think she's the owner of this place judging by her size, and the fact that she's behind the counter table.
"Umm, Hi?"
"Are you new to the city here kid?" She asked me.
"Yeah, why?" I asked her back.
"I figured, If you weren't then I would have recognized you. Hi, I'm Rise the owner of this tavern." She told me.
I knew it! she was the owner.
"Okay, HEY BETH!" Rise shouted
Then a short girl came to her carrying a wooden serving plate.
"Yes, mom?"
"I need you to guide this young man here to a table, It's his first time here." Rise said to the short girl.
Then the short girl turned to me with a smile on her face and said:

"Please follow me here sir."
I followed her as she led me to a table with two chairs. I sat down on a chair
"Okay, so what do you want to eat sir?" The short girl asked me with the same smile on her face
"What do you have" I replied.
"We have woodboar curry, stewed lesser dragon meat which I definitely recommend only it is a bit expensive, pricing at 2 silver. Oh and we also have our best seller fire-roasted chicken dinner. And all of those also include 2 pieces of bread and drink of your choosing."
Woah, those sound absolutely delicious! I made my mind I must definitely try that dragon meat.
"Then, I'll have the stewed dragon meat" I said.
"What would you want for your drink?" The short girl asked while she was writing on her piece of paper.
"Water, I guess."
"Okay sir, since the stewed dragon meat is still being cooked it would take 10 minutes to cook." The short girl said as she walked away.
'Now what do I do in 10 mins' Before I could even think about it a girl wearing armor sat down on the chair in front of me.
"Excuse me?" I asked.
"Nice sword you have there, where did you get it?" The armored girl asked.
Wait a minute, Isn't it suspicious to just sit down in front of a stranger then ask where they got their weapon?
Thinking about an answer I said "Got it from a shop, why?"
"Because it looks exactly like my father's sword."
'ohshit' I thought while swiftly standing up and turning around.
But before I could even run I felt a hand on my shoulder pulling me back to my chair.
"Ow, what do you want?" I said swiftly

"Oh, so you are that THIEF. The first one to escape from my father, even taking away his precious 'Lawbringer' that is the name of his sword by the way" The armored girl said.
Uhh, expositions.
"I think you forgot to answer my question, So I'd say it again WHAT DO YOU WANT?" This time I asked while making my voice rougher, so she would get scared and back away.
She tightened her grip on my shoulder
'ow'
"It's simple I need you to help me steal something from a dungeon, seeing as you were able to steal and escape from my father, I think this offer would be fairly easy."
Oh so she wants me steal something.
"So what's in it for me?" I asked with a grin on my face.
"Not going to prison" The armored girl made the grip even tighter.
"Prison" I laughed "What makes you think you can make me go to prison, If your dad couldn't do it how could you? Plus you're asking me to go steal something for you which means that you could also go to prison."
She had a surprised looked on her face, I guess she didn't think about that.
"Well if you have nothing to say I guess I'd leave." I said while grinning.
I stood up and prepared to leave, then I felt the armored girl grab my other shoulder.
She then removed the helm that was covering her face and head revealing a beautiful girl with yellow hair.
"Please, I beg you. I really need this" The armored girl asked while kneeling.

Two And A Half Deadmen
Silver-Spruce is a very strange and very haunted town. Ghosts inhabit its buildings and walk its streets. Some of them friendly and sane. Some of them not so much. Alder helps ghosts. Helps them fulfill their last requests so they can move on to whatever comes next. Sometimes the ghosts aren't so friendly and have to be moved on by force. Alder does that as well. And he's gotten rather good at it too. After a particularly rough exorcism, he finds himself following a strange ghost to a local tourist attraction. And while Alder never means to find himself caught up in chaos, monsters, magic, and mayhem always seem to have a way of finding him. You want more specifics for what you're reading? Here you go: This is Urban-fantasy but a little bit of a different spin. Often the protagonists in such stories tend to be the bigger fish in their world, or at least far from small fry. Be they legendary boogie men or badass wizards (which is in no way a bad thing, I love a lot of those stories.) But I thought it would be fun to have a protagonist who's far closer to the bottom end of the scale. He has some magic, and it's potent in its own way. But he isn't the big dog or a fighting machine. Outside of his bubble of influence, our protagonist is essentially a normal human as far as powers are concerned. And while you should be warned that this story will get dark in some places it's (hopefully) balanced out by humor and the lighter stuff. I'm not sure how to end this synopsis section so I'll just say bye. Bye!
