It was time for us to head back to bend as everyone packed up. Things between Lindsay and I were a little awkward now but we still laugh and joke around like we did before the kiss
“are you ready to go?” Daizy asked looking at everyone
“yeah I am” Alex said
“awesome Ashton Jemma and I are going to get going I'll see you guys back in Bend or how about we just meet back at school” Daizy said
“sounds good to me, see you guys back in Bend.” Daizy said getting in the R.V. leaving. I already packed my stuff and put it in Alex's car. I walked over to my motorcycle and got on it looking around.
“Hey Lindsey, want a ride?” I asked she looked up over at me and nodded then said bye to Amber running over to me. Lindsay swung her leg over the bike grabbing the helmet I was handing her she put it on her head then wrapped her arms around my waist she put her arms around my waist memories of last night and flooded through my mind I shook the thought out of my head and started the engine hearing it Roar I sped off onto the dirt road back towards Bend. I stopped at a gas station on the way to fill up its tank.
“Hey Zeke..” Lindsey said
“What's up” I said
“Can we talk about last night…” She said. My stomach turned into a jumble of knots as I dropped the hose to the gas. I stumbled and grabbed it.
“Umm yeah sure” I said outing the hose on the gas tank.
“Sooo ummm” she said fidgeting with her fingers
“Sooo”
“OK, why did you kiss me” she said quickly.
“I, I don't know”
“Yes you do” she said quietly. I ran my hand through my hair putting the gas hose back and paying the worker.
“Come on let's go” I said quietly. She sat on the back and wrapped her arms around me but not as tight. When we got back I dropped her off at her house then went home. I walked into the house it was quiet and looked like no one was home.

“Hello!” I yelled and no one answered. There was a not.in the table with a key on top
Please check mail for me - Jennel
I grabbed the keys then left the house walking over to the mailbox. A couple of kids about 9 were outside playing with chalk in the road. I smiled and opened the mailbox grabbing the mail. As I walked back to the house I looked through to mail it was mostly bills or junk but one piece of mail caught my eye. It had my name on it and I didn't recognize the return address, it was some kind of office building. I walked into the house and there the rest if the mail on the counter Holding on to the one for me. I jogged up to my room and sat on my bed looking at the envelope.
“Star Light offices” I mumbled reading the name of the return address. I open the envelope grabbing the letter inside the letter was small and took up only about half a page it read,
Zeke, you probably don't remember me too well, or don't want to and I wouldn't blame you but I heard you were out of jail and I needed to wrote to you, Zeke my name is Harrison Coys and I am your birth father, now I know you probably don't want to speak to me but I'd like to speak to you of possible
408-673-1486
I ran my fingers through my hair looking at the letter he was right i didn't want to talk to home he left me. And my mom he left us to survive on our own, she had to take on 3 jobs barely being able to sleep and he thinks I'm gonna let him back in my life he's wrong, he was there when my mom died and he wasn't there when I was in jail he never called he never visited so why does he want to want talk to me now?

“Zeke, Alex I'm home” Ms Lane yelled from downstairs I got up and jogged down the stairs into the kitchen.
“He's not here Ms. Lane”
“Zeke I've told you just call me Jennell” she said setting the groceries on the counter.
“So was there mail?” she asked and started putting the groceries away. I walked over and started helping her, setting the letter on the country her.
“Yeah, mostly junk but I think one bill” I said putting the best kind of cereal there is on earth away, fruity pebbles.
“What's this?” She asked grabbing the letter from my dad.
“Nothing” I said quickly trying to grab it from her. She held it up and away from me.
“Zeke Guerrero you tell me what this is right now” she said sternly.
“You don't have to talk to me like I'm a five year old.” I said sulking over to the table.
“Well stop acting like it” she said laughing sitting next to me.
“It's a letter from my dad” I said quietly she unfolded the letter reading it.
“Are you gonna call him?” She asked.
“No”
“Zeke, he's your dad”
“Yeah and he left me! He left me and my mother! I never want to talk to him!” I yelled standing up.
“Zeke” she said calmly.
“Call me when you want me home” I said and walked out of the house and into the garage hoping on my motorcycle and starting it. I grab my blue tooth ear piece sliding it on and sliding my helmet on. I opened the garage doors and started my bike riding out of The garage and onto Parrell road I rode down it going as fast as I could without breaking the speed limit I call comes into my Bluetooth as I pull over to the side taking my jelet off an answering it.
“Hello?” I said
“Zeke hey it's me” Brandi said on the other line.
“Hi what's up”
“Ms. Lane called Alex she was worried about you”.
“I'm fine” I said.
“Zeke..”
“Im fine” I said coldly.
“Ok” she said quietly.
“Look I'm sorry, I didn't mean to sound like I'm mad at you” I said.
“It's ok” she said.
“So are you sure you're gonna be ok” she said.
“Yeah I should be” I said I was turning onto the highway now.
“Ok, hey if you want to come over you can”
“Yeah I just might”
“Ok well we're not home right now we're at Walmart on your side of town.”
“Hey I'm really close why don't I just meet you there?”
“Yeah I'll see you there.” She said
“Ok well..” Before I could finish I heard a screeching in the road. I looked in front of me and coming my way was a driver out of control. I tried to turn to the side but the car hit the back end if my bike making me fly off it and roll onto the road.
“Zeke!” I could hear in my ear slightly.
“Zeke!!” This time I heard it twice I slowly looked up and Alex, Brandi and Mia were running towards me. My head pounded as I tried standing up.
“Zeke, are you alright!” Mia said
“Yes I'm fine”
“No your not, stay still” Brandi said calling 911.
“I’m fine” I said slowly sitting up I wiped my mouth blood covered my hand.
“Dude you need to get to the hospital” Alex said.
I looked at him my head dizzy as i tried to focus on them. Sirens went blaring in my head as the ambulance pulled up. They helped me into the car as they drove me to the hospital.

Arcane Societies
Secret Societies, highly influential groups of people who control the world from behind the scenes. Often, they are merely thought to be part of the wild fantasies of the most imaginative or insane people of society. Sett, a seemingly normal orphan child, shared the same thoughts. Yet, his world would be torn asunder when he found out that not only was the world controlled by these veiled organisations, but they also had access to much more than just money and influence. They were martial artists that could split the earth, magicians that could rain fire from the skies, monsters that could eat you whole, and much, much more. This is the story of Sett, an orphan who tries to live his life among the secret societies. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Sanctuary
A girl searching for someone. A boy who lost his memories. A man from another world. A woman trying to prove her worth. Follow along as this unlikely group of people join forces to help each other accomplish their own goals in this non-epic fantasy adventure. Fair Warning: This fiction contains many of the well-known light novel tropes, though I try to give them my own spin. If you’re tired of them by now, you might want to keep away. There are no demon lords however, nor any end-of-the-world cataclysm situation that only the MC can solve. This story is more about different people coming together and helping each other out to achieve their own goals and objectives.
