Shit bro i'm sorry i didn't think you'd be home right away, Alex texted me

I sat on my bed and watched adventure time as i did my homework. I knock came to my door once i fished my math.

“Zeke” i could hear Brandi

“Wanna come out and go out for dinner with us?”

“I don't know, are you gonna be dressed”

“Yes” she laughed.

“Fine i'll be out in ten minutes.”

“You got five everyone's already on their way.” She said and i could hear her jog down the stairs.

I slipped on my shoes and grabbed my earbuds and phone heading down stairs.

“Hey Zekey your girlfriend will be there.” Alex said tauntingly.

“Oh shut it” i said and got in his car. We drove to a restaurant across town, chipotle.

“Zeke!” Jemma says holding up her arms. I laugh and give a hug sitting in the big booth they saved. I scooted in next tot Aston i sat on the end of the booth. The waitress came to our table and took our orders, i took the longest since i didn't know what they had here. After we all ordered we were laughing and talking about school.

“Zeke, still hasn't showed me the photography photo yet” lindsey growled looking at me. I smiled at her and went back to looking around the restaurant. A girl that i saw across the restaurant walked over to our table and sat down next to Braid across from me.

“Hi zeke”

“Um hi”

“My friends wanted to know if you wanted to come to a party this weekend” uh no not really I thought to myself I think Brandi read my mind because she scooted over with all her force pushing the girl out of the booth.

“Uh Brandi!” she said

“SOrry not sorry” Brandi said laughing and going back to talking to Alex making sure the girl had no room to sit down.

“UH whatever” she said standing up and looking back at me playing with her necklace.

“So what about that party?”

“I think i'm good” I said she leaned against the table looking at me.

“Your friends can come too” she said I'm guessing everyone knew what to do because all at once they stuck their fingers in their opens mouth and making a taking noise.

“Where good, if you couldn't tell already you're not welcome here so uh bye bye” Amber said. The girl flipped her hair then stopped to her table.

“God sassy much” Brandi said looking at her sister.

“Says the girl who just knocked her out of the booth.”

“I was getting claustrophobic” she said smiling evilly.

“WHatever the reasons i'm glad she's gone, did you hear she cheated on her ex with his brother” Chelsi whispered

“What no, is that why his with the other girl now” Daizy said

“Yeah” Jemma said laughing

“Hey I’m gonna head home if that's alright with you guys” Lindsey said after we got our food and ate.

“Yeah go ahead we'll see you tomorrow” Brooklyn said as she got out some money.

“Thanks for lunch you guys i'll see you later.” she said and left the restaurant.

“Lindsey… I’m sorry, this is all my fault” I said, i was sitting in a hospital chair next to lindsey who was in a bed.

“It's all my fault” I stood up and punch the wall behind me.

“I never wanted to hurt you, I hope you know that” suddenly her body jumped up and started spazzing hr heart rate monitor went crazy as the doctors rushed in grabbing materials. I nurse pushed me out of the room as the other nurse closed the door.

“No i have to be in there!” i yelled fighting against her.

“Sir please stay back.” she said

“LIndsey!” I yelled

“LIndsey!”

I shot up and looked around it was dark and I was in my bedroom. Sweat beads rolled down my forehead as i sat there panting. I threw my head back and onto my pillow.

“What did i do” i whispered as I laid there all i could think about is what I said, I didn't mean to hurt you, i'm sorry all those words meant something, did i hurt her? All i could do was think about what could have happened to make her lay in that hospital bed and my stomach turned into knots thinking about it. I threw the covers off of me and got up slowly dragging my feet down stairs and into the kitchen.

“Hey Zeke what are you doing up?” Mrs lane said as I grabbed a glass of water.

“Just woke up, ill be out of your hair in a second.” I said filling the glass with water and drinking it as she continued to speak.

“Alex is really happy that you're staying” she said

“I'm happy you guys let me back in your lives.”

“Of course we would Zeke your family”

“Thank you Ms. Lane”

“I told you call me Jenell” she said heading back to her bedroom. I sighed and walked back up to my room looking out the window. It was right up against the room so i opened the window and crawled out onto it. I sad out in the night as a soft warm breeze brushed against my skin. The clouds fought for dominance in the sky as if at any moment they would ban together and rain would fall down. I took a deep breath in holding it for a few then letting go looking around. The neighboring houses looked similar but very different then the neighborhood across the fence. Two people walked through an opening in the fence and down the road of my neighborhood down the hill, they were laughing and pushing each other and tried triipping each oother a few times. I smiled and looked back out to where the moon was rising in the sky. I felt a small drop on my forehead followed by multiple drops hitting my skin cooling me down, I ducked back into the house closing the window as the rain got harder and harder. I layed back in the bed closing my eyes, drifting into a dreamless sleep.
