"The Ego sistem worked well, Life and Death were informed of what was happening and they could salvage the situation. The problem was... There were too many Worlds and Planes, and they added even more of them from time to time. They became so busy saving the already existing ones that they couldn't create new Worlds and Planes. In the end the solution appeared by itself, in a Wolrd the Elves made an united front to save their forest and the Humans united to fight them off, they needed the land. That gave Life and Death the idea, they needed an unifying cause, they needed Gods."
-Bee May, the faery of knowledge
"When Ego isn't enought you ask the Gods."
In the village the kids that wanted to be hunters would start with the scouts training then do the hunters one when they survived thirteen snows.
As they were in the middle of the Hardwood Forest and the Arthus kingdom couldn't afford to equip an entire militia force, the village used the surroundings wood to make spears, bows and arrows.
The hardwood is called so because its really hard, so hard that even iron instruments can't damage it. So the Arthus kingdom would bring some steel instruments with the caravans to help the village make its own weapons. The fully hardwood made weapons are really good and even utilized by some elite members of the army, their durability is excellent but the second biggest strenght is their weakness too, weight.
The boar spear, the First Hunter's weapon, is the only spear in the village that isn't just made entirely of hardwood. The shaft is made of hard wood and is joined to a steel pike, to give it even more weight and penetrating power.
The hunters training is harsh because they need to be strong and skilled enought to use the hardwood weapons. With Little Wolf's physical abilities, reflexes and memory he smashed trought scouts training and during the heat of his tenth snow he started the hunters training so he could be the First Hunter after his father.

It was almost time for the snow, the caravan would come to the village in a couple of days. Fianna was watching her husband and son with a smile, they were having the same discussion every day since Little Wolf started training.
"I don't understand training father Sidon! We do the same thing over and over, I'm only getting tired! I'm strong enought to wield a spear, strong enought to shoot with a bow! Why do I need to train?"
Little Wolf said with a sad expression.
"Why do I need to repeat my self? I showed you... You train to get stronger, move better and make your actions effortless."
Sidon said.
"B-but the more I move the tired I get! I'm different, you said it yourself! It's better if I hit hard and fast, so I get tired less and can still finish my opponent!"
Little Wolf said flustered.
"I already told you, if you don't wanna do the hunter training just beat the instructor... when you can beat him you will be ready to be a hunter."
Sidon huffed.
"I challenge him every day! But he just tires me out! He doesen't fight fair!" Little Wolf pouted.
"We humans are weak but we can change." A smile escaped Sidon's lips. "We train and when its not enought we use our minds to beat enemies. Remember this, if your life is on the line all is fair!" The smile erupted and Sidon's eyes had a strange wild glint. "When we get hit we hurt, we bleed, we break and it takes time to heal, some times we can't heal and we die. You, you just get tired, this is unfair! If you can't beat a single hunter how could you hope to become me?"

Sidon growled.
"Now now boys, calm down." Said the still smiling Fianna. "And my Little boy, while it's true that you are better than most hunters you are just copying what they are doing, they trained their entire lives, you cannot beat them with those obvious movements! You need to be smoother in your movements and attacks, follow your adversary, don't let him dictate how the fight will go feel his movements, feel his flow then use it againist him or just break his flow to make him flustered. That's how you destroy an enemy!"
Fianna's smile was large and the maniac glint on her eyes scared both Sidon and Little Wolf.

(Story complete - Book 1 "Shanghaied", 2 "Shortcuts", 3 "Secrets" and 4 "Sanctions") It is the 19th century, and war smoulders between England and France. Any hope for a quick end to Napoleon's rampage across Europe ended when the Great Gates opened in 1800. For a fortunate few, the strange world of the Infinite Labyrinth offers opportunities, strange descriptors popping in their minds, informing them of growth, and status beyond that of a mere mortal. The materials and power crystal they bring back foster a new age, both military and civilian. Aether-powered Skyships prowl the skies, as all the great nations blessed by the Gates try to turn the blessings of the Labyrinth into immediate advantages. But for Jonas, an apprentice leatherworker, his friend Ira, and so many Londoners, the fabled ones that walk the Labyrinth are distant heroes, seen from afar. They fell short when their Potential was measured, and they fill their mundane lives with distant dreams. One man wants to break the stalemate. The Tyrant of the Dominion of France, Napoleon Bonaparte, has a plan. Eighteen years after the world changed, he will force it to change again. And when civilians are caught in the fallout, the unthinkable happens. Six people, unqualified, forbidden to ever enter the Labyrinth, find themselves stranded in a distant zone, forcefully turned into Professionals. They know little of what that means, but they have to figure out the rules that are now their lot, for they have little hope to escape their predicament otherwise. They need to understand what the descriptors in their minds mean, what each of the strange piece of gear waiting in treasure chests behind terrible guardians can bring them. They have to become Professionals on their own and rejoin the Empire. They will figure out their new lives one way or another. But will there be an Empire waiting for them when the Gates re-open? Caught in a clash of empires and high tiers, they will do what little they can. They will step up and do their best. One way or another. The Infinite Labyrinth is a slice-of-life litRPG adventure set in a real historical setting. It's a hard, crunchy litrpg. Expect blue boxes everywhere, and the system itself is very mathy. It started life as a serial. I prepared some proper worldbuilding, with enough details and background for lots of different potential story arcs, but as I wrote, I realized the main story needs to have a definitive end. So, there are four books in total, for a bit under 1500 pages, plus additional side stories, and even maybe a sequel one day. The Gore tag was added as a precaution because there are a few scenes with some light gore.

Hundreds of years ago, the servant god Elsyn declared that they would destroy humanity entirely, explaining it as their duty as humanity’s peacekeeper. When the gods saw it fit to send someone to oppose the fallen servant, Iztris—the gods’ own servant and follower—visits Cheryn. Iztris requests the aid of Alyson and Jacob, the oldest two heirs of Cheryn and the only ones given the gods’ offer of the ‘assurance of victory,’ and the heirs agree. There will come a time when humanity does fall—but none of them would allow that to happen by the hands of a being just as flawed as mortals. I recommend reading the story by volume, instead of by the order the chapters were posted. This story was beta read by Mad Sadie. Many thanks! Please note that some characters use different pronouns depending on the chapter’s view and the speaker. Iztris, for example, is referred to with neutral pronouns by Elsyn (in most cases) and themself, and after being introduced as such they are referred to with male pronouns by Alyson and Jacob.

Three people find themselves in a strange place filled with dangerous creatures and monsters that prowl during the night. Will they adapt or die trying?Rule #1: Beware of the black water. Rule #2: Don't act like a cliche horror movie character. Rule #3: Being strong is a plus---------------------------This story was inspired by a dream I was in and I just had to turn it into a written story. This is basically my very first attempt at creating a story beyond ten pages and I'm writing it for fun so please be gentle~ Mother World will contain some sci-fi, elements of fantasy, supernatural powers and of course some romance. When it comes to the romance it'll be gradual. The romance may or may not contain sex scenes as I'm not sure if ya'll would want my half baked attempts at tickling your fancy. The horror tag is there because I am a really big fan of horror games. I'll try not to be too excessively gory, however... there will be blood... I like to treat my characters like those in game of thrones. Screw plot armor! As for the tragedy tag...ya'll will just have find that out for yourselves won't ya! :)Also beyond chapter 4.5, I'll try and consistantly keep them at 1000+ words.
